Jeans got dry so I brought them in.
Had lunch veg. from the veggie stand yum!
He had orange tomatoes I suggested they would work for relish or salsa he said he was going to make some!
Sun is out and it's warming up.
90's next week then 80's so that will be great.
I did some reading.
Had a good nap I needed it.
Watered the back yard. 90* felt hot today after a couple of cooler days.

the whole house is tired - 
mom slept and is now awake eating a tart that I had gotten on thursday apricot/blackberry with almost almond crust. (dd is not here so we can have nuts). crisp

After taking the second blanket out of the washer and putting all the towels and stuff in for a 3rd load I went and had a short nap.
While we watched the baseball game I did some pots and pans and got most of that done. I just have tonight's pot to do when it cools down.
I do have to put some stuff away now. Dishwasher did it's job and I have to empty that as well.

Twins, my dh would never have gone to a shower like that without me. He probably would not have gone WITH me!
The Sunday Scene around here could be stated as "all's well that ends well." Whew. It certainly did not start well. DDIL worked this weekend, and I've had both dgrands since Saturday morning.
Before we ever left the house, dgs reported that his phone was lost. Tried calling it... no luck... probably because he had it on silent. His mother does NOT like for him to keep it on silent and there is no reason he should -- he never takes it to church or school.
After church, more hunting... no luck... took every covering on the bed off, shook it, lifted the mattress and box springs... no luck...
Finally, after a sincere prayer from me, his mom was able to "ping" it on her phone, and there it was -- under the bed, but at the foot of the bed, and in a difficult-to-reach spot.
Whew.
Sunday School was... not very good. I had dgs14, dgd10, and two little boys ages 4 & 5, who have no concept of being QUIET and listening.
Not that there was much to listen to. I saw the lesson for the first time when I got there this morning, and it was honestly not a good text for children.
Matthew 15:21-26. I wish I had picked up the lesson last week and had time to prepare.
We struggled through it and I sent the boys to the nursery (their mother is the nursery worker.)
Anyway, we had a pretty good afternoon, and wonder of wonders, the man arrived to take down my fences!!! This is a partially chain link fence (that was falling apart, thanks to horses who pushed up against it for years) and a large part of barbed wire! I will be sooo happy when it is all down -- it makes the yard harder to mow and the chainlink part was a huge eyesore. My dad fussed about it 13 years ago! Then my cousin just happened to know someone who wanted the chainlink enough to remove it if I would give him the fencing. Then, when he came over, I offered to pay him to remove the barbed wire too, and he said, no, he wasn't going to charge me for that -- he said the posts there were selling for $10 a piece and he would find some use for them also. I may have missed an opportunity to make some money, but right now, I'm just glad to be done with it!
However, he has only taken down about a fourth of it all, and ALL the posts are still standing, so I am saying a prayer that he won't quit halfway through this.
Anyway, I have a very busy week ahead of me...
tomorrow -- I have to attend a finance committee meeting at church...
Tuesday -- DGD is getting a baby tooth pulled (it is infected) and she has to go to Birmingham to her rheumatologist -- this means I will have to pick up DGS from football practice * after I attend my teacher group meeting * AND Tuesday night we are eating at a friend's house for a "small group" meeting to help the new pastor get to know us better. My whole family is going to this at the home of one of the men who plays bluegrass music at church. DS, DDIL, dgrands, and dbil and dsisil. I will also have to get groceries because
Wednesday we have our fall "kick off" at church, and I need to bring a fruit platter.
Thursday -- I will be waiting for the lonely Maytag repairman. (Remember that commercial?) Well, my washer started leaking when I use hot water. THANK GOODNESS the extended warranty has not expired. It is good until October 16! I do not think I will extend the warranty, because it has gotten more expensive than it was five years ago. But I am certainly glad they were able to find my account. Under normal circumstances, ddil's dad could probably fix it, but he is on a knee scooter after having bunion surgery, and he cannot be on his foot for another six weeks or so.
Oh -- DGS did not get in the game Friday night. It was just a jamboree, and when the other team showed no interest in playing their JV team the second half (as we had understood the agreement) our coach put his first team back in. We still got beat 28-0, but this is a team in Next Town, who has beaten us 21 times out of the 25 we have played. Our coach said he didn't put any plays in that would tip off our regular season opponents, so he wasn't upset with our effort and we expect to see a much better showing this coming Friday.
JV games will start a week from tomorrow, and DGS does expect to see some playing time then. He's not too worried about it (or at least he won't admit it) but after practicing every day in this heat, he deserves to see some game action. IMHO.
I'm going to sign off with a good night to all of you! It's 12:30 and I have showered and done all my bedtime routine. I washed my hair with the plan to color it in the morning. After that I definitely plan to follow my cards and get some WHB done around here.
