Sunny Saturday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Whatever the weather at your place, it's going to be a sunny day in our corner of the village! Find you little spots of sunshine where you can today - whether real of virtual "sunshine" in your life, soak up the sun!

We'll be at the river this afternoon and it's indeed sunny and not quite as hot.

We have a busy day, but thankfully, dh is away tomorrow bowling again out of town. We'll be at the river this afternoon, then come back for s2s and out this evening with two dneighbor couples celebrating the empty nest next door. Not meeting them until 7 and dinner reservation is 7:45. New restaurant in a building with lots of atmosphere, formerly housed a very favorite restaurant that was unfortunately sold and moved. It's in a quite nondescript building now.

I'm getting a shower next, may end up with two showers today but I need one now!

Ooof, Hot! Nancy.

Good morning

Bring on the sunshine. As much as I get bored with the same-oh-same-oh day-after-day of over 100F temps and bright sunshine, I would rather have it than do without it. I'm just ready for a break from it. I can't start fall garden when the daytime temps are over 100F and the nighttime temps are in the 80's because the seeds won't sprout in that heat.
drumming fingers....waiting....waiting....

I was inspired to do some creative cooking this morning in the kitchen creating several portion size servings using similar ingredient but with different tweaks. I'm looking forward to trying them....or recreating them again if the family eats them all before I get a chance to try some of them.

Our church youth are having a fund raiser today that I want to support. They are in parking lot of the fire dept hand washing cars for donations. I need to get there asap before time evaporates and I get sidetracked doing other things.

dd older and mom were. very busy. mom continued to clean stains - scrubbing away and helping dd put the laundry in the washer - two times so far
dishes are washed, dried and all put away thanks to the two of them
counters cleaned by mom and dd
removed the sheets off her bed (dd and mom)
dd older made French toast and mom helped
very busy and mom's brain flourished - she continued to teach how to do things while doing chores.
mom's coughing a lot - her nose is running away - cold maybe?

dh was busy with what dh gets busy with :D he is happy which makes me happy! :D
me: I did put away in the kitchen that took longer than I expected
worked in laundry room, front hall,
family room and dining room - nothing great but worked on.
mom's room a bit

now: go upstairs and do a bit of 5 minute room by room - do bathroom swish and swipe
dd older and d mom are taking a break - dd is sitting in the sun. d mom is in her lounger chair watching murder she wrote

Home from a mini outing. We made 4 stops including one to walk along the shoreline at nearby lake. It was sad to see the water level so low. We need rain!

DBro & DSisIL called to ask about best time to plant squash for fall garden then we spent half an hour talking about everything under the sun, so to speak.

Hydrate word of the day.
I have tea beside me now.
Have a cold drink in the fridge for later.
