See you in the laundry room, L.Ann and kitkat.
This is the task that doesn't end.
Yes, it goes on and on, my friend.
Some people started laundering, not knowing what it was.
And, they'll continue laundering forever, just because...

Mica is a smart cat
helia, you were right in mentioning it to dbro. There is somehting wrong with his gi tract and he should own up to it, let you, his sister know what is going on with his health.
my niece is doing a fantasitc job of helping. I am sentimental about everything, don't want to let anything go, and want to be responsible about filling up the landfill. She is more pragmatic, objective. I'm doing my best to not go through the bags she filled from the cupboard.... Telling myself, it needs to be let go of.
My grandson is heading to University tomorrow. He took a piece of furniture from mother's house. I'm happy for that. He took a few bowls and a kettle from the apartment for his apartment. I have no tenant, and there are plenty of other things in the furnished apartment if anyone contacts me. Dniece and I have made several trips up and down the stairs - I have run ALL the dishes, pots and pans, etc, through the dw. They are either ready for a tenant or for when a garage sale happens. (Lots of sticky oil/ grease gone! Clean like I would appreciate if I was moving in somewhere. )
This is a quick stop at my house to get some things for supper, to cook at mother's.

I have brought the laundry back. I have my heart set on the bread, so I will fill the breadmaker before hanging the laundry. I think that running the dw is out of reach for tonight.

Re: Saturday Night at the Movies
I have the breadmaker going. Germane has eaten all of her fish, so I put more on for her. Unfortunately, she peed off the edge of her pee pads. I'm just having a little break from being on my feet and then I'll go clean it.
Saturday
Cleaned up after dog
Spot-cleaned bathroom floor
Changed Germane’s pee pads
Put on a pot of coffee
15:
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Bagged up bathroom garbage
Started loading cart to bring to basement
Saw Germane squatting in the bathroom. Got her over to her pee pads
Cleaned up after dog. Spot-cleaned floor.
Heart pill for Germane
Oh, so frustrating! Sat down at my computer with coffee, and saw a live broadcast by our prime minister. My computer has no sound.
Scrambled to find it on my phone. Caught the last few minutes. Tried to watch from the beginning: can’t.
Tried to find it on TV. Found analysis after the fact.
Finally found it on CPAC on my phone.
15:
Washed the soaking dishes and dumped the water
Taped up shopping bag with split bottom
Started organizing dirty laundry. I have some things to wash where the colours might run, so need to separate like colours.
Started bag of reds
15:
Picking reds from backside of wardrobe cart. Once they are clean, I can try them on and either wear or donate.
Taped another split bag
The problem with using a sledgehammer to kill a mosquito is that something else gets damaged. Created another hole while taping the first one.
15:
Switched from gorilla tape to duck tape
Taped bag
Finished picking reds and purples from wardrobe cart
Hung the hangers off of granny cart handle to wash the dust off of
Eat my feelings while CUOP. Today’s felt like naan bread with onion yogurt and green pesto as dipping choices.
Spiffed self
Finished loading recycling/garbage on cart
Took Germane and cart to the basement. Unloaded recycling and garbage.
Took Germane for a walk around the grounds
Loaded the last of the shopping from car
Continued Germane’s walk up the path
Brought Germane and shopping upstairs
Checked laundry room: one machine in use
Treats for Germane
Tuned into the premiers’ interviews about the prime minister’s address
Moved Pinky And The Brain to the front corner of the balcony to give them access to rain and to support their cage. (Plants, not animals)
15:
Put new bags in recycling can and bathroom garbage
Started digging into breadmaker recipe to give myself a break from virtue that feels like chaos
Looked up information on getting RSS feed into my EReader
Opened a new cheese from the batch I bought from Costco. It’s one I never tried before, and wow! Is it good! It’s like a milder, less salty parmesan with hints of swiss cheese or jarlburg. Couldn’t find a grater, so used the vegetable peeler on it. May the bread forgive me.
15 X 3:
Checked laundry room: washers are free
Started two loads of reds and red-adjacent
Just two sweaters have to go back to the rack as they didn’t fit
Mixed up a bottle of lemonade
Flipped the laundry
Hung the tops and brought the laundry back
Washed sink and basin
Put some dishes in to soak
Cleared off counter space for breadmaker
Wiped it down
Dried it
Put sole on to cook for Germane
Started filling breadmaker
Fed all of the sole to Germane, one bite at a time. The dog food that was delicious yesterday is now unacceptable and I need to cook more fish for her.
Refilled the flour bin
Finished filling/started breadmaker
Washed the soaking dishes
Put the rice cooker in to soak
Put fish on for Germane
Put paper towels down to blot the pee

Re: Saturday Night at the Movies
What kind of plant/s is/are Pinky and the Brain?
My son and grandson came to get a piece of furniture for the apartment. They treated it carefully.
I fixed a great meal for my niece - wild caught copper river salmon that I had bought and put into the freezer. Fresh picked sweet corn from the farm truck at the bottom of the hill. Green beans bought at the grocery store, but from a farm about 40 miles away. Tomatoes from my garden. peaches and raspberries, and (family recipe) rice pudding that I made a couple days ago. It felt so good to cook for her, and to eat together. And she has been such a super and amazing help. She sees there is so much to do, and an entire wheelie bin is full! I had picked together several things I that had come from her in the past, and offered them to her. She is also graciously taking several items of clothing (hardly makes a dent, but maybe a dimple?). I am imagining that if she decides she doesn't want them, she will donate them. And she will know that it made me happy that she took them. I do think that if she didn't want them she would say no.
Tomorrow is put the broom closet back together (It holds WAAY more than the broom and dustpan! and she has been sorting through just to see what is there: photos, cards mother received, light bulbs, cleaning rags, seasonal party decorations just to name a few - the closet has both shelves and tall space), have her look through mother's many (dozens and dozens! I haven't counted, but I'm guessing no less than 60) sweaters and 2 drawers full of nice costume jewelry. Mother never went out without an appropriate necklace, or beautiful pin.
And she will leave on Monday to drive 500 miles home.
