I have loaded and run the dishwasher already this morning.
Dh took the truck to a nearby automotive technician to get an oil change and to look at a tire that loses 10 pounds of pressure randomly.

Two laps with ddog done, and spoke the new pool maintenance co owner at pool to introduce myself.

Forwarded email re: insurance to those who need to know, and sent email to cemetery board with updates.

A.m. routine underway. Dh is bowling tonight so will be out. I need to s2s next. I'm going to the local library this afternoon and dh will walk/feed dog before he leaves for bowling.

Dh has eaten. I need to get something to eat soon.

Good morning

We are in hour #3 of my day and all is going well.

All 3 teenagers are sick with the virus but are continuing with their normal daily activities. Symptoms are low grade fever (99.2 ish) and feeling blah. 2 of them have a sore throat. I gave DD15 the option of staying home from school but she chooses to go. I normally make anyone running any fever to stay home but since it seems everyone has it and are continuing on, so I don't feel like we are spreading germs that aren't already blasted out in our community. So far, DH and I don't have any symptoms so hopefully our immunity continues to be strong enough to take care of being exposed to the germs.

For the 2nd day in a row, DH joined me taking DD15 to school and then we walked the trail at the local park. Is this the beginning of a new habit? I hope so.

DH has his final appt this afternoon with dentist to fix cavities found at the last semi-annual checkup. I am hopeful the sore places in his mouth are healed.
While in the city, I'm going to run by bakery and pick up a platter of cupcakes to take to meal tomorrow. Also, needs some treats to take to Thursday afternoon community gathering.
Hum...I need to check on prescriptions ready to be picked up also.
While there, I might as well do a quick walk through the store aisles for the items on the shopping list.
I can't dillydally because I will have less than 2 hours to do all these things and get back here to pick up DD15 from school. The dentist appt will take up most of that time plus the hour driving time.

Today is election day here. I've printed the 3 pages of ballots to ponder & mark my selection before I get to the voting booth. It is super quick to mark the official voting ballots with the sample ballot to copy from. Each of our state questions are so long & confusing that I grow weary reading them. I've done my research and know how I want to vote on those. This will be the first time that DS18 can vote.

Kitchen things happened....three burners on the stove top in use, microwave going, air fryer going all at the same time. Vegetables grilled, roasted, boiled and 3 types of meat in process. Our first meal of the day has been enjoyed. I'm letting the food and cooking utensils cool and then will do a cleanup of the kitchen.

Good morning! One ta-da today besides morning routine: I hit the treadmill. I wasn't on it for as long as I hoped, but I did have the speed higher than usual and so covered more ground, as it were, than usual, so I'm counting that as a plus. I still need to do breakfast dishes; DD was in the kitchen getting things started for the baked potato soup she is making for dinner. She has an appointment today to deal with a lost filling (I hope that's all it is -- the color made me think broken tooth, though it could have been a composite filling), so she wants something that doesn't require chewing after.

Did pretty well yesterday -- got DH's shirts done and got a second load as far as the dryer. I had to go down to the basement to get the clothes I'm wearing out of the dryer, but at least they were there.

As for yesterday, the joint was jumping after I left here! A bit from CUOP:

• I am not familiar with volunteer fire departments much, LadyM. The ones here are all professional. I am quite willing to pay my tax dollars for people to sit around and work out. Of course, they are usually much busier, but if there were fewer fires/emergencies, I'd be happy. Here in the suburbs, most firefighters are cross trained as EMTs or paramedics, though the city has them as separate departments for some reason. I do remember Dee's stories of her family's work with the VFD, and I remember when I lived out at camp with DH, you'd hear the VFD's siren when they tested it once a week and occasionally otherwise.
• lucylee, does DGS's school have some of the same students on the varsity and the JV teams, or am I misunderstanding?

Speaking of lucylee, I hope she was awake in time for her plumber's visit this morning. Perhaps she never went to sleep and is now catching up on it. I hope, too, that the plumber was able to solve the problem.

Don't know what the verdict was on the truck tire, Cathy, but when I had the trouble with my front tires, it turned out to be the valve stems.

Twins, so busy with the HOA and cemetery! I hope you enjoy your library visit and have a nice, relaxing evening.

LadyM, when my kids were in school, I think the cutoff was 99.5, so your gang should be fine, I think. I do hope you and LordM avoid it, though. And I presume the "3 teenagers" includes the fiancee? At first, the three page ballot for a primary made my eyes goggle, but then you mentioned the state issues -- those can get long, can't they?

DD is out of the kitchen, so I can clean up breakfast and make lunch. DC drove themself to school because their third class has been cancelled, so they will be home before I have to drive DD to the dentist. I will have to talk to DC about filling that empty spot in their schedule. They need 5 classes to graduate, and they were glad to do three this semester and two the next because the two next semester are both writing-heavy. So do they really want to add another class next semester? Have they looked at what the options might be for this semester? Don't know, hence the need for the talk. And I want to see their syllabi. They are talking about taking a week next month to go see their SO (girlfriend/boyfriend-level, but they are both nonbinary, so what word to use is a problem; they say "partner," but to me that implies a more serious relationship). That, of course, would mean missing a week of class. I'm not thrilled, but they're an adult and using their own money to take the trip, so I can't think of any consequences to impose (at least none that I'm willing to impose). My mother would be thrilled that DC is using some of their inheritance to travel; she'd be less thrilled at the reason -- I'm sure she'd advise DC to stay single as long as possible. (She had many adventures as a single person traveling with her friends, something that wasn't so common in the '50s.)
