Friday PWYC - Let's do this!

Post by Lady Maverick »

I don't have any wise or insightful words this morning. I just want to hang with SHE friends.

Good morning

I'm in hour #3 of my day. So far....
** kitchen opened and drinks prepared for the day
** Personal AM care done.
** DS18 chatted with before he left for work. I congratulated him on spectacular effort of cleaning his bedroom last night.
** I watered and tended to 5 raised beds in the garden. Also burned the fire pit (shhhh...we are under a burn ban) The fire pit is enclosed by wire mesh and I stood nearby holding water hose with the water running while the fire burned to ensure it was done safely.
** DD15 delivered to school while chatting all the ways that her life will change during the next school year.
** DH and I walked the trail at the local park.
** Text with DD50. She and DSonIL are in Kentucky visiting his mom in the hospital.

woke to mom calling dad - not sad at all - she thought she was in a church with d dad and that they were having a lovely time. (dream) she was wondering where he went. Her new bedroom has vaulted ceiling - she wakes thinking she is in church or a hospital. (which ever dream she has)
Went in there and she asked - how did you find me at church - so sweet - I told her where we were and she laughed -

Blessed - you make the SHE village better just by being here. No work needed!

I just received call back from billing lady at our family doctor office. She is going to take care of the insurance out-of-network blooper and we won't be paying for it. They filed it wrong so will refile and deal with insurance about it. **big sigh of relief**

I switched how I sleep last night and woke up pain free. Surely it can't be that simple? Instead of sleeping on my side, I slept on my back with pillows under my knees to take all pressure off the hips. I'm almost afraid to hope that simple change could make such a big difference. While I'm waiting to find out if the back pain will stay away, I am loving the freedom of moving without being in pain.

Heart breaking news from d helper -she is here and didn't come in until 9 - she had been crying.
her nephew was the one killed on the dan Ryan yesterday coming home from work - there was an accident and he and the other car pulled over. then when her nephew got out of the car to exchange insurance information when the driver pulled out and intentionally ran him over and left the scene. This is her sisters son who was to get married in November and was in his early 30's. I don't know how that family is still standing! I am going to send helper home and pay for the day. it's too much. She has lost her mom and in total now it will be 7 family members that died in 6 months. I can't imagine how she is standing right now.

((((Blessed Helper & family))))

Local cooks are available today so I'm taking advantage of that to feed the family. I've ordered a pan of Crack Chicken Enchiladas from one cook and will be getting Pig Bowls (hot link, red beans and cornbread) from another local cook.

sitting waiting at bood work appt because drs office never sent order. It's been more than 20 minutes so far and no word. Sigh

HRH's eye appt was good. Stable, good pressure and imaging, and the sighted eye is 20/20. Dr says wear an eye patch if he likes at home to avoid ghost image from other eye if it's more comfortable. When he's out both eyes are best
