Sunday Change PWYC
It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Good morning
I want to change the title and theme of PWYC today to something better. But then if I spend too much time and thought on it, I will surely sidetrack myself.

Re: Sunday Change PWYC
d lady - I love the Sunday Change! thank you for starting us!!!! good morning!
What I would change: I have big thoughts about this one.
Some things I can't control even if I started over - if I knew better then I would do better. Wisdom is something that you learn with experience. A lot of good things are part of learning!
(be more direct and not afraid to say what I/family needed, ask and expect transparency. say no to things that I knew would be a problem. trust my gut feeling even if someone else gets upset. being respectful to others is not a problem for me - it is not being direct(worried that someone would get upset) and for me to expect transparency. Expecting that someone can see what I am seeing - or expecting them to understand. Some people don't have the ability to understand.
But so much good happens with struggle; so much learning! I am very grateful for that!!!

Home from attending early church service. Loved every moment of it.
Biscuits and hot links are cooking for the family. I had a couple fried eggs in street taco.

How do you know DS18 is in the hay field?
I just received a message from Life360 telling me that his top speed is 15mph.
I think he is driving tractor pulling the hay tedder....or he might be pulling the hay rake. Either one of those tools are some of the fastest speed (15mph) that is possible while cutting and baling hay.
He got home from the hay field around 11pm last night and they started again this morning before sunrise. He absolutely loves every moment of this type of work fun.

Re: Sunday Change PWYC
Nancy, we have a mama and baby here somewhere. Dneighbor down the street mentioned seeing them, and dMillie recently found them in HER backyard. LOL. I'm glad you're refreshed from your walk - it's still warm and humid enough here that walking is not entirely pleasant.
I felt like I couldn't cool off last night after being out on the river. We were there from maybe 1 p.m. to past seven I think. A tried to slalom with V driving the board but couldn't stay up. It was hot in the boat going around to set him up each time. It was cooler and nicer when we were moving. Beautiful gorge area with mountains on either side.
Dh is going to the ''draft" get together for the neighborhood fantasy football league. It's men only, still mostly the neighborhood. It's on the river at our neighbor's "vacation" house at the river. (She received the sliver of land from her father's estate, and her dh designed a small vacation style home that they also rent out, but not in the summer unless they know they won't be in town.) Has a dock, hot tub, they have a boat and jet skis there. Fun place for a bunch of men to hang out and bond, lol.
I need to go to the mall area soon to pick up something that I ordered, and to return a top somewhere else. I think I mentioned I'm trying to stock my wardrobe of things that fit me - especially for the Jewish HHD when we attend services four times in a 12 day period. I'm down 21 lbs total and am finally believing in it enough to find things that fit me.
So sorry we missed Lucylee's birthday! Once I saw it on facebook last night I was remembering Harmony as well. Another year has passed Lucylee and you've survived and thrived!
Change? Right now I need to get my mind in Rosh Hashana hosting and preparing for vacation mode. Yesterday helped clear my mind. As I thought of things I entered into my phone so I can remember all the OMM stuff floating around.

Re: Sunday Change PWYC
mom - alias being a pill towards me
oh my goodness too funny - the energy that goes into it. this behavior comes out when she is tired - tired in general or tired of hearing my voice lol.
Just now - after I was being super patient and kind - trying to help her to bed to rest after a nice morning of breakfast and French mass - mom said: she wanted to go to bed herself
Mom: "then pick me up" - Me: “I can’t lift you” Mom:" Then fine leave me there - let me fall!" as she tries to get off her wheelchair.
I got her to bed -
While getting her to bed: I saw the dogs and said hi. They love seeing my mom.
Mom: "you are kinder to the dogs than you are to me", once she was laid down and I covered her with a blanket
Me: "I hope you have a nice rest"
Mom: "you are filled with ****"
me: smiling: "Thanks mom" oh my goodness - she is sound asleep
dd older said "it's a shame that she isn't too dramatic" lol.
We have always joked (for ourselves when we are dramatic) , this case d mom, that we should get velcro for the back of (the persons) hand and on (their) forehead to that they can hold their hand up to their forehead and say "woe is me" 8- oh my goodness
Grateful that have been with multiple family members that have had Alzheimer's or Dementia. Grateful that I got to know mom outside of my youth and see her as the person she is - she is funny and nice a lot of the time. Glad I had this opportunity.
There is so much peace that comes with it. I have learned to find the joy and learn not take what they say to heart - (most of the time
).
yesterday they watched old videos - d mom to dd younger as a 4 month old baby - "Are you going to be a scientist" (engineer) etc -over and over again with a cheerful voice. oh my goodness dd older and dd younger via FaceTime found it so funny. Nothing like putting the pressure on when they are young. She meant well but oh my goodness.
She does have a little player violin -maybe I should bring that out.
you have to find joy!!!
