yesterday I took a quick stress nap before going to the wake. I am sure waking up during the night and at 4:15 made a difference in me being tired. dd older came home early to take care of mom which was so nice so that I didn't have to worry about mom.
d helper went to her first grief meeting.

Nothing accomplished yesterday. It's amazing how stuff can build so fast! One day of not doing my room by room mindless clutter card left my house in disarray. I will time it today to see how long it takes - I do like a good competition with my timer.

I'm getting body work today, aka myofascial massage. Slept well last night, don't remembering hips hurting. Up once to let the dog go smell the air outside, lol.

After that I need to do run by the drugstore and post office (HOA.) Later, some HOA accounting work, rewrite one ck I did on Sunday and write another, and write a cemetery check too. And I just did an instacart order and I'll get the brisket going today. Dh is out tonight so I'll just let it braise in the oven as long as it takes.

We had a wonderful dinner out last night for our anniversary. So nice.

Good morning!

I am working on getting as many ta-das as I can before lunch. Dfriend K has offered to pick me up to hang out with her, but I want to get stuff done around here first. I've done my morning routine, had breakfast, and hit the treadmill. I haven't cleaned up breakfast yet; I'm here because of the active/resting thing I mentioned yesterday. I want to sit on my butt after the treadmill -- fine! I will sit on my butt and post here, then I will clean up those dishes. I was a little miffed last night to not have help with the dinner dishes, and miffed again this morning to see DH had not put any of the dry dishes away. (I put them away while waiting for the water to boil for my oatmeal.) If it happens again tonight, I will speak up. If folks have retreated away like they did last night, I will put it on the family chat.

I missed that you had a wake yesterday, blessed. Was this for dhelper's nephew? I hope that headache clears up quickly.

Sounds like a busy but not frantic day, Twins.

Nancy, we don't celebrate when we see deer. Once we did, but now they're too common, and they eat so much (and poop so much). If they would graze the grass instead of the garden, they might be more welcome. DH has given up entirely on growing tomatoes.

K just cancelled for today -- her dog is having a bad reaction to the vaccines she had yesterday, so she's taken her back to the vet. I'm sure Pepper will be all right; K has a good vet, and this does give me more time for more ta-das.

We haven't had flooding but neither are we dry -- we've been having rain mostly at night. During the day it's been humid -- humid enough that we have a heat advisory today even though the high is supposed to be no more than 90F.

Cathy and I will be watching the same ballgame tonight but rooting for opposite sides -- the Jays are playing the Guards.

So, off to clean up breakfast. Then I will fold yesterday's wash (I think I have a load left in the dryer) and start today's. We'll see if it's lunchtime by then. Have a great day, everyone!

Happy belated Anniversary Twins & DH! How many years have you been together?


We have a busy day out of the house today with many stops, drop-offs, and pickups. I’ve made a list in the order they need to be done to make the most efficient use of time and location. DD15 won't need to be picked up until 5pm so that gives me an extra 2 hours to get back to our little town.

I'm excited to start the new trackers that will be used in September. The same-oh same-oh things seems new and interesting because of the different way they are being captured and recorded.

cleaned the oven inside and underneath. gross - d mom's helper says she cleans her oven every month - I am beginning to think that it would be a good idea considering I have dogs.

going to make a monthly 3 x 5

paid a couple bills and dh will mail that and a birthday card.

Next: refrigerator.

I miss deer near my house - when we lived in the country they wouldn't come near the house and stayed in the woods. Where we live now they cull the deer - no deer near my house anymore - once in a while you will see them in the woods but then they are gone. I miss them coming in front of my house.

the wake was for my d brother in law father - dh's d sister', her father in law and her adult children's grandfather.
he worked until two months before he died. it was hard to believe he was almost 89. he look in his early 70's. Hard working. Nice man.

it's 87 right now with 77% humidity - later it is supposed to be in the 90s - geesh not my kind of weather.
