finished moms sheets and pillow cases - now on the bed
mom is going to go back to bed - she is very tired but she did help me brush some stains with spot remover on her decorative pillows - she kept falling asleep while working.
her blankets are almost ready to go in the dryer.
swish and swiped upstairs bathrooms - i still need to vacuum and rinse off dh's floor
powder room swished and swiped/vacuumed.
dd older put her clean cloths on her chair in a ball - I could iron them but I think I will rinse and then dry them again. (completely wrinkled)
d helper read the yankee magazine to mom. very nice. we had discussions about fall etc. mom added to the conversation - very nice.
surface vacuumed the front hall, front room and then the vacuum died.

washed the door in pantry :D
washed door going to laundry room from kitchen :D

waiting for my vacuum to charge.

And again. Kitchen is cleaned up, onion and carrots ready to go in with braised brisket tomorrow. Read that sweet potatoes will discolor when cut up ahead of time.

Five things:
-change out porch pillows to autumn stuff
-look around in the garage for my little hand spade so I can repot a plant
-head upstairs and do two HOA checks
-----gather and file HOA paid bills etc for August and make a september folder
-----same as line above for cemetery for months of July-August

I have fun shopping and got mostly used books planners and journals and some refill pages and a devo
one I can color in and a cup plus a dish for ddoggo that does not slide across the room a new cup and new to me
blue creamer I put it on the deck for fun.

Sun is out. I'm reading the prompts in the one planner by Davy Ramsey his daughter I think set up.
Interesting I've never seen or heard of that one.

Not hungry so do not need to eat yet.

Hobby Lob. was interesting not much fabric, quite a bit of fragrance this time of year all the Holiday stuff is out
even Christmas stuff. Smash burger place looked interesting might have been nice but was not open.
Staples was a bust planner shelves were bare quite a bit of it was on clearance none of the items I was
on the hunt for.

I have been busy all day. Brisket, numerous things downstairs, and upstairs just finished the HOA and cemetery stuff. I went ahead and did the excel spreadsheet for cemetery for July to August. It's felt crazy with the construction and those payments, transfers back from other accounts where $$ were stashed and the tree damage. I found that somehow ending cash was off by $200 on the ending spreadsheet for the year that ended 30 June. My head is just spinning today.

Dh is walking the sweet ddog. I'm heading downstairs to start on our supper. No rest for the wicked.

I have 4 more cabinet doors -fronts and inside- and underneath trim to wash - not happening today.
I washed cabinet bottoms by the sink and the stove
washed the upper and lower cabinets where the phone used to be.
flipped more laundry
moms blankets are clean

d helper stayed the whole day - mom didn't do much today - but helper read to her and mom chatted.

vacuumed and rinsed kitchen floor
I am tired of the kitchen but it does need painting soon.

Nancy - so glad you found some new and fun things in your shopping.

My heart is hurting for DBro. He had to put down Gyro. Dbro has always owned several horses in various stages of training for the past 60 years (or so), but regardless of the other horses for the last 28 years his primary horse ....the one that is bomb proof and can do anything has been Gyro. Several other horses have come close to being as good as Gyro, but none were better. During the years that DBro was full time cowboying he was horse back every day. The other horses would be used to give Gyro a rest. I have so many memories of DBro and Gyro working together and the bond they had to anticipate what needed to happen next. It was amazing to watch them together. It is sad to see it end, but oh WOW what a wonderful horse Gyro was. He won't be forgotten.

DD15 has a online friend that she has talked to for over a year. They spend hours on the phone every day. The friend lives about 3 hours away in Texas. Friend 15th birthday is this weekend and she has requested to come stay with our DD15. The friend older sister has agreed to drive her here on Friday evening and then come back and get her on Sunday evening. That is 6 hours of driving twice for a total of 12 hours....plus typical stops (gas, potty, drinks, etc). So probably closer to 14 hours of driving. I must be old fashioned, overprotective and/or clueless because I can't fathom a parent letting their 15 year old girl go stay with strangers. And part of me is wondering....what if her sister doesn't come back to get her?
