Hi!
There are 2 CFL games that dh will be watching today. I will be starting the third Harry Potter book. I have decided to donate my HP books to a local library because I won't be reading them again and their set is "very used!"
Have a great day!

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities in blessings.”
Good morning!
mom is up already and I am trying to give myself more time and asked her to rest just a bit.
pulled my cards.
I need to remind myself today: give yourself credit - be positive - don't look at what you didn't do. believe in yourself today-positive self talk

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
d helper and d mom are getting mom to walk
took meds.
set timer for 30 minutes
played with dogs
mom has had a shower
d helper had mom walk with walker from the bathroom - all this walking has been really good for mom - she is not always pleased
she looks really good!
dd had mom crack her eggs and scramble them and then cook them on top of the stove.
she had her put her toast in the toaster -
she had her pick out the fruit she wants - grapes and had her cut them.
mom is 95 % happy to do what dd older asks her to do.
she is chatting a lot - well with it.
I cleaned out a drawer where spices fell - my eyesight is starting to age - the dates are getting tinier and tinier which mean they are older than I thought.
tossed 9 bottles of old spices.
took meds.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
I have been up a while.
Clocks flashed and had to be reset twice today.
Up at four ish.
did qt & journals
planners still to do.
I need to do a couple more pages for my two page lay out.
Did a brain dump of let down after my birthday.
We had rain in the nite.
Walked.
The neighbors down the street had free trim ends 2' long pieces from some project Free sign on em.
I told my friend she wanted em. So after our walk we saw groups of deer and at least a doz. of em!
She got the wood and helped me move the table I moved yesterday that was too wide back. Then I
moved the desk on wheels in that spot it's narrower and fit better. Great for a landing zone when
unloading purchases, grocery store run etc.

I have jars I save peanut butter ones glass to freeze soups in.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
Good morning friends! I am home today and will be doing things to get ready for Rosh Hashanah luncheon and vacation.
I have felt totally frazzled this weekend, mostly yesterday, over the HOA and the email addresses not updated and every time I've tried to do anything at all I've been interrupted. Last night when I was still trying to get the emails corrected dh suggested inviting over neighbors "for a drink" and they stayed until my bedtime, lol. I've done the best I could with the email situation and handed it off. We do not have an email for one couple and I'm going to try to hand that to the board secretary to do instead of asking social committee.
Dh has gone to friends on the lake for a possible boat ride, although the day is not really great looking.
I need to get my thoughts organized and I don't even know where to start. I'm setting a timer for 45 min to finish a.m. routine and do the things most OMM. Back at BOTH (Bottom of the hour)

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
Good morning
Cathy - Thank you for the start today and timely reminder.
I'm enjoying a weekday without typical responsibilities. The teenagers don't have school or work. No alarms are set for me to respond to today.
DH and I walked the trail at the local park. While doing that we also picked up random trash and dropped in the next trashcan next to the trail. The trail goes over the pond dam, so we are always looking at the fish/frogs/turtles as we walk along the water. I'm not sure feeding the fish/frogs/turtles is recommended but we find it entertaining to watch them respond as the food hits the top of the pond.
I'm trying something different with my vegetables. I want to eat 4-6 servings of vegetables each day but sometimes I forget. I have selected today's portions of vegetables and have them gathered into one container so can easily see if they all have been eaten. It is a similar method that I use to make sure I am staying hydrated. Each morning, I prepare my drinks for the day, and it is easy to monitor & verify my daily ozs of liquid is taken care of.
