Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
Good Monday to everyone
Waving to Kittykatt.
Here we are at Monday, with a week of interesting moments ahead of us.
Hopeful that how easily she and I have bopped around this morning continues for all.

Re: Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
Good morning!
I’m having trouble getting in, so I’m just writing this in Word to be pasted in later.
A belated Happy New Year and safe travels to Twins! And a belated Happy Birthday to HRH!
(((blessed’s DD)))
I’ve had a productive, if slightly disappointing, morning. I tried to get ready early in case I got a call from the dentist’s office saying, “Can you come in right now?” I broke a tooth on Friday and left a message Saturday morning (I thought they were open Saturday mornings; maybe it’s only alternate weeks, or maybe they stopped since the dad retired). They did call about 9, but they can’t get me in until Thursday. But I did get breakfast and its dishes done, and I did over 10 minutes on the treadmill.
Next up: figure out dinner, get a wash going, and fold anything that may be in the dryer.
********
Dinner figured out now: meat loaf and mashed potatoes. I am either going to have to plan and shop for some more soft meals or dig out the baby food grinder (I think I saved it). Most of the remaining menus were unsuitable.
********
Wash started. I hadn’t left anything in the dryer to be folded. Sadly, I’d left it in the washer, so I had to restart it with plenty of detergent and fabric softener and dry bleach and a few scent beads. Some of the items were sweats, though, and those tend to hold on to the stinky.
Next up: Need to make a DPC to the mechanic to ask whether he’d be willing to take on DFIL’s old car. I have no doubt he has the skill; I just don’t know if he has the time or inclination.

Re: Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
I waited to post today.
Have been up a while.
Got through my planner stack.
Declined walking invite today to early for me as it's colder
damp from the moisture and I needed a day off from a.m. chatter.
D.D. was here yesterday so did not get my walk in it stormed in the p.m.
My Mon. Reset took longer this morning.
Did up my dishes after cooking bfast.
Got the branches in the can up off the ground under the tree in the back yard.
Took out the trash.
------
Yesterday morning DD came by after nine-ish some time that was a great
visit in the morning. She helped me get the Wal-mart app. on the PC the app was not down loaded.
Rolling my eyes. / Today the way I used to get to it is diff. dang!

Re: Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
Good morning
I did receive the dreaded 503 error message when coming here. I hit refresh on browser a few times and eventually got in.
Where there is a will, there is a way
((((Mystery)))) I hope you broken tooth isn't causing you pain while waiting for the dentist. Good idea to use word processor to capture your writing while waiting for the errors to pass here. I try to always do ctrl-A the ctrl-C to highlight & copy all the text before I hit submit. That way the words are saved in buffer and can be pasted somewhere.
I'm having a normal Monday. I love love LOVE normal.
** DS18 chatting before he went to work. He wanted me to come outside and listen to one of his pickups. Of course, I stopped everything I was doing and went outside with him even though I have zero knowledge or interest in vehicles....I know this phase of of life will soon pass and I want to filled it with as many good moments & memories as possible. I listened to him excited talk about how different the vehicle sounds now that he did x,y & z to it yesterday. I nodded as if I knew what he was talking about while smiling and giving encouraging words.
** DD15 delivered to school while she chatted about how Astra (her puppy) brings joy to her life. Astra also brings challenges because she leaves her cazillion toys scattered around DD15 bedroom floor. DD15 stepped on one of the toys and hurt her foot. We discussed possible ways to change Astra toy distribution and storage.
** Walked the trail at the park with DH. A person we didn't know was passing us but then she slowed down and walked with us for most of the mile while we talked. She and her husband are military stationed at local base and sought out a tiny town to raise their children. It was interesting to hear her view of our town and school.
** Breakfast cooked while thinking through how to streamline the process. Cooking from ingredients is simple but can also be time consuming. I am playing devils advocate with myself about purchasing & using an electric pressure canner.

Yes, normal is delightful, and I am happy you are enjoying it, LadyM!
Oh, ((Mystery)), ouch, hope you can be seen soon.
Happy spackling, blessed. That sounds like serious progress.
Nancy, so pleasant you and your dd could have a visit. How is she recovering from her (hopefully small) injuries after collision?
Waiting on call-backs, email-backs, lol, re: our site's needs.
3rd laundry load is in the wash. Today is definitely a wash-day Monday for me.
Sheets changed.
Dishwasher was full enough to get busy - it is finished, too, draining.
The supplies I mentioned in the planner, etc., topic arrived last evening in the dark without any trouble.
It's amusing to me how some features are better than expected, while some make me wonder why. Learning. The important question - whether all the holes for the spirals are the same in both - is a "yes", so now I can experiment.
Ds, ddil and dgdC (missing dgsW, who was at a church event) visited with us for an hour or so last evening, too. We knew they were coming, so had dessert waiting. C didn't like the cake (tiramisu) so ds scoffed hers after his, lol. They had brought two kinds of Moon Pies for HRH, so switching her dessert was easy peasy. Ddil's hair looked so nice and I told her so - we tried to see if we could find any of ds', but alas, it had been razor day. He is as likely to just disappear his hair as to have anything to comb.

Re: Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
Waving hi to yall…slept well last night. I traded beds and slept in the guest room because for whatever the reason I sleep better there.
The room stays darker and the a/c keeps the room cooler than our master bedroom. The weird thing is the mattress has got to be 30 years old, but I won’t buy a new one because I sleep so well on it
Walked Amelia and went to class. Fixed breakfast for everyone and took a short walk by myself to get steps in.
The flowers under my tree look pitiful and I suspect they are not getting enough water even with all the rain we’re getting.
I wacked them all down and Sweetie picked up the cuttings to put in the garbage. Now mind you it’s 90 degrees out there with humidity to match. Decided to continue one so we went to work on our side yard
By the time we were finished I was soaking wet from sweat. Came in put one my swimsuit and jumped in the pool to come down.
Came in and made lunch for all and was getting ready to head to home depo for some stepping stone to place in a muddy area.
That’s been out on hold for the moment because it’s thundering out side.
LadyM… received my dog sling yesterday and Amelia did well around the inside of my home. Wasn’t too sure about it when we went for a walk but know it’s a learning thing

Re: Making Monday Moments Matter PWYC
More cooking done. Each time something is cooked, I am asking myself how it can be improved. Is there a way to make it healthier (add in micronutrients) without compromising the taste and presentation.
DH is unsettled today which is requiring me to be extra attentive. Nothing bad, but I know him so well that I can tell when somthing is off and need to remain aware every moment of his location and activities regardless of what elese I'm doing. in about an hour timeframe this morning, DH drank 2 cups of coffee, 1/2 gallon of tea, ate 2 fruits, 1 snack size of cookies, a containter of lemon yogurt, a huge breakfast plate (eggs, bacon, potatoes, and bagel). After drinking and eating all that in such a short timeframe, he went to refrigerator looking for something to eat.
I started creating a new spreadsheet this morning to change the way that I track daily SHE cards. After spending a bit of time on it, I decided it was not as good as what I am using. It wasn't a waste of time (IMHO) because it made me realize (again) how well the current spreadsheet tracks everything that i need. I have been tweaking it for 20 years and might have reached a point that I can't improve upon it.
