Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
The red and green holiday quilt is on the bed with the calico bears.
Dgd could not wait to get her shoes off to check them out!
I got the Christmas Cd's out and they are in the pile with the others now.
Sorting stuff was much easier because of all the work I'd done on this zone
in the Christmas in July de-cluttering round!
One bin of decorations is ready to go! Yea for progress!!!
Today or later getting Christmas plates up stairs card is in play.
Holiday meal and menu tweaking is underway.

Attic / Storage Week
Holiday Grand Plan Week Twelve
Holiday Grand Plan by Katie Leckey
Holiday Grand Plan Printables by Cynthia Ewer
Cooler weather makes it easy to check and organize the attic and storage areas during Week Twelve, Attic Week. We continue to move toward Thanksgiving in holiday prep. Are you working on holiday gifts?
Ready? Let's get organized with Attic Week in the Holiday Grand Plan!
Deep Cleaning/Organizing Area:
Attic
•Attic / Storage
•Attic/Storage cleaning checklist
Holiday Prep:
•Make one batch of Holiday Goodies.
•Make one extra meal for freezer again labeled HOLIDAY MEAL.
•Buy two canned food items from menus (get 2 of each item, one to use and one to donate to food drive).
•Buy 1/8th of TO BUY gifts. Save all receipts, note return policy before buying. Ask for gift boxes.
•Wrap and label packages. If needing to ship, get some shipping boxes now and store packages in them.
•Work at least 1 hour a day on homemade gifts.
•Make place cards.
•Make 3x5 card for each serving dish, list what goes in it, garnish, how much before dinner can it go in and serving silverware used with it; tape it to edge of dish.
•Be sure all dishes are clean!
•Borrow or buy any additional serving dishes needed.
•Buy reusable foil bakeware from party paper place.
•Are linens clean and ready? Unfold and verify that all spots can be hidden by centerpiece.
•Work on centerpiece.

Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
Finally located a 4' tree I like and it was on sale, bought it $30.00, hope it looks ok on big corner cabinet. Will not have to move furniture around this year. Most of the shorter ones come in "urns" etc., but this one is regular with usual base, good cause I have nice tree skirt which will cover nearly all of top of table.
Holiday time finds me with 2 DGSs birthdays (1 today and 1, 2 weeks before Christmas) also DSiL birthday is 11/23. Cards bought for all these today, gift card for DSiL, 2 toy gifts must be purchased in next few days.

flylady's post today
HOLIDAY CRUISING MISSION #24: THURSDAY Go and Do
Today is errand day and I bet you know what is coming! I have issued you missions this week that have to do with things that need to be mailed: Packages and Cards. While doing your errands you need to make sure you have your mailing supplies ready. This means stamps
for your cards, boxes, markers and mailing paper if needed. When it is time to mail those holiday cards you will be thanking me for making you buy those stamps early!! Don't forget on your grocery store run to pick up any items that you can off of your meal plan and menus list for the Holidays. Each time you make a trip to the grocery store look over your holiday planner and see what items you can take care of. This will really help you out when you get closer to the holidays and find that you don't have to run out to do a mad dash through the grocery store where you overspend and exhaust yourself. We are FLYing not dashing!
