from flylady: HOLIDAY CRUISING MISSION #25 Friday Budget Don't Begrudge It!
Today is Desk day and today is the day that you need to make sure that you have your bills ready in one spot to pay and balance your check book. It is so easy to forget to record things and not have your bills in one place so when it is time to pay them you can do it with ease instead of tearing through the house because you can't remember where you stashed a pile of mail. Take 15 minutes today to get your bills collected and have them in one spot and go through your checkbook to make sure you have recorded the last check you wrote, the last deposit made and the last ATM transaction. These are things that when forgotten will cause errors! Don't forget to review your gift list and make sure you are sticking to your holiday budget.

Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
I'm SO glad I have pie in the freezer
and have stuffing box purchased
and have Jell-o salad ingredients I can make and or bring
items for turkey dinner at dson's next weekend.
I need a couple other things still but glad I'm prepared.

Dining Room Week
Holiday Grand Plan Week Thirteen
Holiday Grand Plan by Katie Leckey
Holiday Grand Plan Printables by Cynthia Ewer
Deadline week! Week Thirteen, Dining Room Week, sees us move into the holiday season, and it's time for a reality check.
Thanksgiving Day falls on Thursday for our American friends and ushers in the holiday season, so this week's cleaning and organizing focus is the dining room. Holiday prep chores center on Thanksgiving and turn to planning the celebration ahead.
Ready? Let's get organized with Dining Room Week in the Holiday Grand Plan!
Deep Cleaning/Organizing Area:
Dining Room
•Dining Room
•Dining Room cleaning checklist form
Holiday Prep:
•Deadline Week: If homemade gifts are not done, put them away. After Thanksgiving weekend and go buy something. This is not a contest, this is life.
•Get everything out for Thanksgiving Dinner and prepare everything that can be done ahead of time. Make sure enough dishes are available.
•Stock bathrooms and first aid kit.
•Wednesday: Use one of the Freezer Meals, buy a salad at the store...
•Friday or Saturday: Have children make/set up Advent Calendar. (from me: menorah, decorations, etc)
•Set up the Creche area and add figures each day as we read from an Advent book. Continue until Jan. 6 when the wise men come.
•Read "Christmas Comes Once More" by Mildred Correll Luckhardt.
•Let kids get out and inspect Christmas decorations; test tree and other lights, replace bulbs

Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
I guess I am catching up with all this. Major heavy cleaning is now done for a while. I have my haircut and I've colored it the other night, so I won't scare people when they come to the door. We got the leaf in the table last night and I put the chairs around. Plan is good, with 13 and the kids being little, we can fit everyone in one place. Have a plan for last shopping (Tues.) and cooking (Wed.) so all this is somewhat under control.

Re: Holiday grand plan 2010
Yesterday realized I have a tree up
last week dd gave me one that's ceramic and sits on the table. Maybe I can de-clutter one of the others in the basement that takes up more room.
