Oh how I WISH, Harriet! There is an OPTION but the option is to get it at a local pharmacy and after 3 one-month refills, (they deny 90-day ones) we get to pay the entire thing and the insurance won't cover it. Now there's a "choice" for you.Dee, are you locked in to doing business with Medco?

Ditto THAT, Okay… how well I can relate to that thought.Oh the joys of a close family.
(((Dee))) Sending lots of good wishes & prayers for dgd to have really turned the corner this time and that you will have a much better stay this winter! And hope the Med problems are solved SOON!
(((Elizabeth))) You know, I was never really at a loss w/ds, but already I am thinking, “What on earth will I do to ‘entertain’ a grandchild???” But I think Harriet’s idea to “let her entertain YOU” is a good point. I think that is mostly what I did with ds when he was little…I just let him take the lead and I tagged along. Provide some stuff she enjoys reading, or working with, if she’s into crafts and stuff… maybe let her help you cook something. (Wow – I can’t believe I said that, either!)
(((Kathryn))) Hope you feel better soon!
Waving to all y'all!!!
My little snafu @ school, w/committee e-mails back & forth, sorta simmered down. I told them I thought I'd done about as much damage as I could do, so I would try diligently to shut up from here on out...
I have sooo much I need to do. Christmas is just coming at us with the speed of a freight train, isn't it? I don't know WHEN I will do my shopping. I guess I'm always like this... but boy, I certainly do feel at loose ends right now. No idea what to get ANYONE. I really need to sit down and THINK and PLAN and talk to dmom for ideas, etc... and I just cannot seem to get myself started with this at all. I was going to follow the six-week countdown plan... yeah... famous last words. * sheesh *
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Monday, Monday
AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH! Just had another call from Med Co: "Unfortunately we cannot fill the 3 prescriptions because they are not covered under your plan". I'm sure they've entered the wrong insurance ID AGAIN! Another call tomorrow to the supervisor -hopefully she can straighten that part out now that they have the new scripts directly verbally from the dr's office. Yi, yi, yi!!
DGD13 has been extremely polite tonight and I can only hope that her attitude continues. My new credit card arrived this evening -now to just activate it (tomorrow).
Guess I'll go out and watch TV for a little while.

Re: Monday, Monday
My document has finally passed muster at the office and is off to tech editing. I realized I don't have DD this weekend. I was wondering if she would be entertained by taking my car to get washed and vacuumed. I realized she probably would be, just like she was entertained by the vet trip of Saturday. I also realized I was a bit disappointed that she would not be with me, so maybe I am not so un-mom-like as I thought. Fortunately, there is an all day craft event, so I will not be tempted to sit around and MOPE on Saturday.
Tomorrow is Girl's Night Out and I am prepared. Tonight I have dinner figured out and will be going to Toys R Us to do some Christmas shopping. Anything that does not ship well becomes birthday stuff (February). I have less than 30 more minutes to go at payroll.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HARRIET & HRH!
Oh, Kathryn, I'm so sorry your vacation lodge burned. It really looked like a lovely place. I hope they can rebuild!
Dee, I hope your RX will be straightened out this time!
Lilac, hope your day has been calmer today!
Well, today was desk day so bills are caught up and papers filed away. We made a big pot of cabbage soup this afternoon and had that for supper. Mmmm, was tasty!
Thanks to MT for the updates on Indiana. She is missed!
Hello to Everyone! There was a long list of posters since I started mine then went off to take a nap

Re: Monday, Monday
We have had a busy, busy day.
First off at 8 am we joined about 15 other people and worked in the common area of the park. Mostly raking leaves, pine needles and "stuff". Some of the men were trimming trees and we did dig out a few dead cacti and transplant others to their place.
Then we headed to our post office where we had found a notice of 2 packages in our PO box. They were the comforter set, one of the lamps, an area rug and my pony planter. After putting them together we headed for groceries.
But first - we stopped at H4H. Found a 6 ft. tall bookcase and 2 bedside tables all for only $77. I'm going to paint the bedside tables ala Harriet's recommendation. (BTW - Happy anniversary!!)
Then we got a bunch of groceries as today was the last day of the sale. Because I now have 3 freezers again - I stocked up on meat - it makes meal planning so much easier.
Then we made another run to the Post Office and another big box. DH also took me to a very late lunch/very early dinner at the cafe.
This box had the other bedside lamp, drapes, shower curtain, bed pillows, clock, planter and bath room accessories. And everything matches or blends. I purchased an extra shower curtain so I'm going to make valances for the kitchen window and door.
One more box to come with towels, wastebasket, canister set and wall art. So we are starting to come together.
Almost time for football - Tomorrow will be another long day as we are going back to the lot and pack some more from the sheds.
Think I will go take some pain killers and read my book. TTFN
PS: I will put pictures up on my blog on Thursday.

Happy anniversary to Harriet and HRH!
Elizabeth, heavens yes. Washing and vacuuming a car is always entertaining. My kids liked the kind of car wash where you stay in the car and it looks like snow on the windshield.
Tomorrow a.m. I need to be in Atlanta by 8 or 8:15. Will need to be up early.

Re: Monday, Monday
I worked on a church project (updating our brochure from almost a decade ago) and putting all the dates on the website calendar. Now I can cross off church work from my to-do list.
Next two challenges: tidy kitchen, and refill vitamin container.

Re: Monday, Monday
Dee, I think I would be threatening some sort of legal action if they keep denying your prescriptions. M-Co is not your insurance carrier, are they, aren't they just the people who fill prescriptions? Can't you go through your insurance carrier and explain what's been happening to them and have them intervene? It's too bad you don't have a lawyer friend who could write them a pointed letter...
After all, you can't be the only person going through this sort of thing there. Their whole way of operation needs to be changed, it seems.
Elizabeth, just a thought, but I think little kids need to see real life most times, not constant entertainment. They need to go to the grocery store, they need to see a house being cleaned, or laundry being folded, and in between all that there needs to be fun times. Otherwise they grow up with no sense of responsibility. Maybe sometime she might need some school work done or need to work on a science project. Those are all things you could do together. I'm sure you're a better Mother than you think you are.
I had to go out once more to take helper to where he switched vehicles. It sure was one day of running around. I got some laundry put away and I got kitchen cleaned, then I gave up for the day. Sometimes I'm just not real productive.

Re: Monday, Monday
Thanks to everyone for the kind mentions today.
Wow, Emptynester is really settling in - lots of excitement and creativity.
We. too, had an eventful day. Finally were able to settle and watch a bit of tv. My last few chores included helping with kitty-toilette duty
and Evening Daily Card. Time to pass out. See you all tomorrow!
