Magical Monday
It's a Magical Monday! Magical for me because I'm not at work.
What will you do to make your Monday magical?

Re: Magical Monday
It will take magic to get my day's work done!
On the other hand, the stage is set and I have my magic wand warming up and my cape and top hat sitting beside me, waiting for my light therapy to finish. Then I'll don them and start the show!

Re: Magical Monday
I hope to wave my magical wand and have the living area of this house spit/spot. Otherwise I may run away to Lilac's dd2's house. DD & DGD are working on dgd's room -meantime the rest of the house is more than disaster!
Right now I'm going to switch LOL to the dryer. Then I'll get 'winter beef stew' going in the crockpot. I've had the meat marinating about an hour so it's time. First up for that will be getting potatoes peeled. The rest isn't too bad to throw together. Come tonight dinner will be ready at the wave of my magical wand.

Re: Magical Monday
HRH told me so. He said it was bad news that my ddad insisted on going to bed early last evening. Sure enough, he was up very early and already rummaging through every cabinet before any of us knew it. So we did not have a good early morning and he stayed frustrated through breakfast. He's been wanting to go to walk, and I've had to remind him to look at his watch, it's way too early and cold. He wants to watch a football channel, but suddenly neither the guide, channel buttons or on/off switch are working on the remote, so I'm sure he's pushed something wrong. I'll have to go channel by channel now until HRH gets home, which he doesn't understand, and gets frustrated. So a magic wand, tv repairman, time machine to take us back to last night - or anything distracting - would be helpful.
I've decided to copy my menu from Saturday for myself, so I've just finished a veggie omelet. I will definitely be on housework today, but my problem is I can't know what I can spend time on. I want to vacuum in the rear of the house but I need to keep an eye on the front, and certainly don't need anything in the way of my hearing. So we'll see.
Oh, and I just found dd's bag of phys ed uniform clothes, left behind. Sigh. I don't know whether to get my ddad in the car and try to carry this to her, or wait for a call... ...

Re: Magical Monday
Dee - what color are DD and DGD painting?
This morning was the first time in a week that everyone was able to eat breakfast (and keep it down). PROGRESS! Hopefully that stomach bug is gone for good.
We are expecting rain today so it is a maintenance day at MPB. DH has parts on hand and has been waiting for a rain day so he can shut equipment down to do maintenance.
I'm starting to see that our home now is switching to maintenance (instead of my forced stash/dash/panic cleaning ways of my past). Every closet, drawer, cabinet & room has been gone through during the past year. They have been decluttered, cleaned and organized. I realized this point has been reached as I am rotating through room focuses each week. The room focus used to take all week (and still didn't get to everything), but now I'm completely finishing each focus. Now I want to incorporate inventory into the room focus (2012 goal). It feels WONDERFUL to be doing maintenance instead of panic catch up on our home.
My biggest trouble spot is the paperwork and keeping the financial accounts updated. I have a plan in place and am tweaking it, but I all the cards are not current for that focus......yet

Re: Magical Monday
Harriet do you have a red and green Christmas apron? I was thinking of you last night
when I was putting up some Christmas things that would be great fun!
I'm up ~ bs is up too took meds. no breakfast again sigh fighting a bit of the sniffles.
Coffee is done.
I've changed the table cloth and spiffed up the kitchen counters this morning.
So the house looks acceptable this morning.
Last night got the tree and holiday stuff up in the basement rec. room.
I need to find a thing I used for the tree skirt hoping it's not been decluttered like the door wreath they were just too big.
Up in a bit is
Living room final spiff x
sweep & mop kitchen x
vacuum upstairs x
dump trash x
make bed x
spiff bathrooms x
