(((Elizabeth)))) You are doing great! Enjoy that time with DD.

Twins - WhoooHOOO!! Love it when upgrades work well!

I've made great progress in focus area and in the Awesome closet. I started out by making a mess by spreading things out on the bed so i could see them all at once, then sorted, grouped and organized them before storing in tubs. By the time I finished, I had consolidated several tubs and ended up with 3 empty ones. This organization "thing" gets easier and easier the more I do it. I'm becoming addicted to it!

Dinner was left overs - homemade beef/veg soup and pizza from yesterday.

We had a surprise Happy Hour at our house today when 5 neighboring couples came over. It was really fun. I know 2 of the couples well and got to know more about the others.

The house was in decent shape except I had dishes in the sink. If they didn't like it - big deal.

I was taking my afternoon siesta and hadn't changed clothes after working on refinishing the dresser so I looked a bit scuzzy. Again - big deal.

I was able to get all the drawers washed and the top of the dresser sanded. Tomorrow I will (hopefully) finish the sanding and be able to start the staining.

Dgd is fighting a cough so we stayed home today.
I got the kitchen spiffed again.

Stuff is out of the freezer in the basement and upstairs where it's handy. Things from the pantry are in the cupboard where I can get to them.

H. said he was waiting until tomorrow to move the extra table and side tables.

Nancy, I hope both you and dh start feeling better, and your bs numbers decide to level off into sensible, boring territory.

Sunny, sounds like you have already enjoyed big family meals.

After a surprise phone call, turns out I won't be having a procedure tomorrow morning after all, and it will be postponed. On the one hand, this is just as well with me, because it will make more sense insurance-wise. I've met none of my deductible this year. Might as well push this back to next year when possibly there will be other things to meet the deductible. Nobody seems to be in a hurry, or think it will make much difference. The frustration is that I planned my whole day tomorrow, including reward, around that rather long trip, and planned today around my not being here tomorrow, as did HRH. He postponed a meeting that we now realize he could have kept. Sigh.

I spent too much time on an online order today, but perhaps it has saved me a shopping trip. Now I just hope they will ship quickly. It really didn't dawn on me that the shipping time would bug me, but now it does. The shipping was free, but now I can't be happy about it, thinking I should have expedited. It's tough to be indecisive about hindsight, but somehow I manage to do it.

This was from Current, btw. Anyone had experience with their shipping, whether prompt or delayed?

It is pouring rain here, Twins Mom, and they think it will continue through tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to go buy a ham at the store where they cut it round and round, LOL, and I have a feeling that will be a crowded place. Ddil wants to bring a cheesecake dessert (yikes) and a cornbread casserole (yikes) for Thanksgiving, so I see no way I can be very carb-conscious. I think I'll serve veggie sticks, though. And tomorrow I will be pristine! Perhaps, considering the one-two punch of holiday followed by terrible shopping day, I should also go ahead and shop for lots of paper products for the weekend.
