(Indiana)

I see most all of you are getting things accomplished. Don't you wonder what kind of holidays there would be if the men were in charge of them?

Wouldn't be much....I'm guessing pizza and a beer, delivered...

Anyway, I keep adding to my list. I am so behind

Done so far:]
bank deposit made (half hour in drive through lane)
Grocery, ice bought (another long wait)
Alright, I'll stop with the faces. Things are getting done.
Car gassed up.
Vacuumed car. was still full of plaster crumbs from last work trip.
stopped to pickup birthday present for DGS to take up with us.
Wrapped present.
1 LOL folded up.
Clothes stacked ready for suitcase
Several phone calls made and plans done for business up till Monday. Engineer letter picked up. Will have to take that up to jobsite.

I've started in on my going away checklist. Some of that done.

Okay, I'm back to work now.

It's raining, drizzling a bit. I hope it doesn't rain whole way up there.

I just can't seem to get motivated to make pies. I am sooooooooooooooooooo thankful that dd1 is having the dinner tomorrow.

When I was in Sams I ran into an aunt of dd2 ex. She told me that his mom had filed for a divorce after she found out her husband was cheating on her with a 20 something yr old girl. The aunt said that dd2 needs to call and give her ex mother in law a pep talk like she gave dd2 when she filed for divorce after catching her dh cheating for the umpteenth and last time. Her ex mil told her not to let the green eyed monster get her and to just suck it up. The aunt said that she had always thought that that was a terrible thing to say to dd2 when she had been so hurt by him.

Well I have to try and get those pies baked.............

Well, I have a 2nd computer on my desk now. My desk is somewhat crowded, but it is the least cluttered area in our office. (Scary). Now I need to download and install a program. While I am waiting for it, I am here. I have not heard from my friend but am assuming that our dinner plans are still on. I'm not very hungry and have not been the past few days. I hope I can do justice to the Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. It will be at XDH's house in the afternoon, interesting situation, but he did volunteer.

I did get my kitchen chores done and even cleaned out one cupboard, tossing some things and putting two kitchen items I haven't used in years in the give-away pile. I cleaned the cupboard while pulling out some winter things I keep up there (tea pot, jug and candle holder plus our snowflake napkin rings.)

Made myself a healthy lunch and cut up veggies to have as a snack after choir.

Choir went well. Dh and I picked up movies to watch over the next 5 days. Saturday will be our Hoodwinked day (we got both movies!) Tonight will be No Hand For a Lady (with pizza to eat while we watch it.)

I've edited the Christmas newsletter and sent it back to the kids for perusal and request for a photo from each. We have just enough room for three pictures.

Just remembered today would have been my sister's 63rd birthday. Now that the stuffing has been knocked out of me, I'll try and find something to do that doesn't involve thinking hard. Maybe tidy up the dining room and take down the fall decorations.

*GULP*

**Double GULP**

I just finished cutting DGS16 hair. It was almost shoulder length and he wanted it cut like neal caffrey. I've never watched that show, so I googled some pictures of him and did my best. There was sooo much hair to cut off that I kinda got lost where I was in shaping it. DGS16 is in the shower.....we will see the results when he gets out. I told him it might take me 2 -3 times to get it shaped right.

Fingers took just a short vacation. I am so resourceful - I figured how to type with 8 fingers 5 on my right and 3 on my left. Way cookl.

Check google logo. Click on featherss. Click on them more than once to see all the changes. Click on the head to see those changes.

I am reading all your posts but I just don't have the finger power to answer.

Waving to Indiana & everyone! The village smells great with all the baking going on rolls, pies, cookies & more.

First five done.
Breakfast & a.m. spiff.
H. got the folding table out and cleaned it off. Carport had been swept.
Store run done & food is put away.
Make bed x
Bake cookies done.

I'm on a coffee break ~ Jell-o is made yea! I've cleaned up after lunch today. Dgd & I went on a walk after lunch of bean soup the fresh air revived her up and she seems to be feeling better it's a no nap day so far any way. She woke me up when I dozed off in the chair after our walk too saying rather loudly "grandma wake up" so now Gpa is taking a turn entertaining her for a few min. now.

Squirrels have been busy outside here today.

Indiana, you can do it! Remember, I sewed a quilt with my hand in a cast!

OKay, I'll bet the haircut is just fine. I just did a GI (not intending to by the way).

The more I do around here the more there is to do. Packing car. Cleaning up kitchen. Made DH a dinner. Had shower. I'll never be ready.

I want to wish everybody a peaceful Thanksgiving. Sometimes we aren't all happy, but peaceful is something we can all hope for.

Lilac, I picked my pecan pie up from the grocery and that is that. I absolutely cannot work with sugars and flours right now if I want to lose weight at all, and I almost wouldn't even buy one to have in the house. But HRH wanted to be sure and have dd33's favorite kind here so that she'd be pleased with something done for her sake.

1) invite dcousin to Thanksgiving supper
2) upload last of new photos, consider order
3) order from fabric store online (to hang Christmas quilt)
4) make appt with doctor
5) shopping/library trip two towns away

Recommendation - Eleanor Burn's company, "Quilt in a Day" just provided some of the best customer service I've ever had. Making order with CA main location, the lady stopped me and said let's try to get the item on sale because the KY location is having an in-store sale right now, plus I'd get it faster. With Ky location, I was further amazed at the extra attention and a promise that it will be boxed and go out today, even though this was an hour before their closing time. Super nice, competent people, and one hand DOES know what the other hand is doing. Too bad they don't ship prescription meds as a sideline.

Harmony, you sound like you are leaving already and I haven't nagged you about taking a probiotic capsule! Feel better.

Indiana, I will pop over to Google. What a great job someone has (a team has) there, sending creativity out into the world every day.

LOL, that is cute - did you click on the wing?

I spent an hour fussing over the dining room. Put away the fall things, pulled out some winter blue things. They'll only be out for a week or two before switching to the Christmas decorations but I was tired of the fall stuff since it has been out since September. I've also put my Christmas wreath on the front door.

Found a butter cream Yankee candle tart and my evergreen one and refreshed my two warmers since neither had any scent left. Must buy a couple more. The house smells rather good right now since I had to have both lit in order to melt the wax in the warmers.

Dh has headed out for the pizza which is good because I'm starving right now.

Here's a to-do list for Harriet (and anyone else ready for a laugh or a nap.)
