Good morning to each of you as you tumble out of bed and into the village.

I used tumblin' due to the fact that it is to be windy today and the tumbleweeds will be tumbling. Saturday we had high winds and at dd2 new house they had a deck full of tumbleweeds that were as high as the top of the sliding doors. Dsoninlaw bought a burn container to take care of them. The bad thing is that yesterday at the farm, they were fighting a neighbors fire and he couldn't get home to mess with that. Their deck is the length of the house and has 3 sets of sliding doors off of the kitchen, living room and master bedroom.

Still haven't moved a thing. Yesterday I bought groceries and when I came home I had to deal with a low bs episode. I ate an early lunch and dd2 picked me up so I could go with her to look at furniture and help wrangle the little girls. She ended up with a pub table and 4 chairs, 4 barstools and a chair for the den. After that I went to the house so that the inspector could see that the ground wiring is fixed in the basement bathroom and wetbar area. Someone had cut the ground wires when they finished the basement. Sunday dh worked on that and fixed it. By then it was 70 out and too beautiful to be indoors, so I came home and raked leaves. Then I decided to mow one last time to get the stray leaves. Dd2 had went home to get ready for the furniture delivery. They were running late and I ended up having to run back to the house and pick the boys up from school. When she came to get the boys, I came home and finished the yard. Later I went back and vaccumed the walk-in storage closet and wiped down the shelves. It is now ready to be moved into.

Today I need to run an errand, then start moving things over there. I have scheduled for Friday to have the ductwork and dryer vent cleaned. This company will also clean the carpets next Tuesday. I am hoping by then that I will have enough moved that I can clean and stage this house for the pictures that we will need to get it listed on the homes for sale by owner website. Everyone keeps telling us that we should not have any trouble selling it. I hope they are right. I know it has beautiful curb appeal with gray brick, white trim, blue shingles and a burgundy front door. It is landscaped nicely with a large yard. The 3 biggest selling features are the large garage that houses up to 4 vehicles and 2 motorcycles, the main bath is large with a jetted tub and a large deck. When we bought it, it had redwood flooring and a lattice railing. 12 years ago, we redid it with T rex decking and put up white vinyl railing.

Well I better quit babbling and go upstairs and do something constructive, now that dh is up.

Yep... I'm tumblin' out of bed at the usual time. News reporters keep talking about snowfall ending later in the morning.
* sheesh * I never saw any snowfall to begin with. Well, maybe a few flakes when we were leaving Wmart yesterday, but that was mostly ice.

My eyes are still driving me crazy. I look terrible (IMHO) -- I mean, people aren't stopping me on the streets to TELL me I look terrible, but it IS noticeable. Several people asked me yesterday, "What's wrong?" I guess I look like I'm sick or like I've been crying or something. I'm going to call the allergy doctor today, and see if there is any creme I can use or something. If it's the eyeshadow, I've been away from it over 48 hours now. I think I should be seeing some improvement!

Lilac -- the house sounds beautiful. I hope you are able to sell soon and get ALL of this behind you!

Lucylee, dh had what he believed was contact dermatitis a couple of weeks ago - his eyes, just below the eyes, and his nose were swollen and he ended up getting a script for prednisone to get it under control. Might ask whether this is a time you should try it.

I am in front of SAD light again this morning. I need to be out of here at nine a.m. or earlier to pick up dmom for a 10:30 dr appointment. I'm getting eyes checked at 4:30, and in between am supposed to see houses with our realtor friend. (I need to call him.) Meeting at temple at 6 p.m. although I could choose to skip - it's a group that drives me crazy anyway. (Although, for all I know they may not be meeting tonight - it's on the calendar but they may have rescheduled w/o telling anyone...)

We have a dusting of snow this morning but none on the road. Approximately an inch of accumulation expected.

I'm in front of the SAD light too. The rain is pouring down. If I had nowhere to go today, I'd almost enjoy the coziness. But I have to volunteer and should be leaving in 15 minutes. I have wet hair, still sipping my tea and haven't eaten yet so that's not gonna happen!

The minister interfered with my music friend last night so just as I'm heading out the door to senior's apartment, I was rushing off an email to her and my church musician saying don't do anything until I talk to you. But my music friend reads her emails on her iphone so my 6 sentence email took up over a screen full and she only read the first sentence which was to my musician. Sigh... I blasted her for that since what is the point of sending her email if she won't scroll down and read it all. No wonder she never has a clue as to what is going on.

Anyway, we talked for 90 minutes after I got home which is why I'm running so late this morning. I think it is settled. It is a mess. Two weeks ago, I made a suggestion which gave my music friend 6 weeks to practice a different piece for Christmas Eve. She decided not to take my suggestion. Now, 4 weeks out, the minister made the same suggestion, except to add that joint choir should sing at both the children's and communion service on Christmas Eve. First, we won't - we aren't supposed to be at the Christmas Eve service because that's not part of the regular music program. Secondly, it is not my musician's turn to play the later service. She is playing at the early service because her kids will be in it, plus she is leading the Christmas Day service since the minister is taking that day off, so there is no way I expect her to stay for another 2 hours and play at the late service.

I feel I should get involved because this is a personnel issue - the minister is expecting far too much of people, and interfering where plans have already been made. And her timing is awful since my music friend had such a humiliating experience at the concert on Sunday. But my music friend doesn't want me to get involved with my personnel hat. Sigh....

Good Morning!

I am home for the day (I think) to care for LO while DH has a doctor appt. Today is DH first diabetic checkup since he was diagnosed. I expect the doc will be pleased with DH efforts. His weight loss is about 60lbs since his last appt and he feels so much better now. However, I think the doctor will tell DH to keep going and lose another 40 lbs. He wants him to be skinny as a bean pole.

I am looking forward to getting some things caught up and some focus work done. It has been a bit hectic here with holiday, DBro crisis, and legal doings. My mind is on overload so I am VERY thankful for the cards that gently remind me what to do next.

Sheesh, I'm glad I'm not facing snow today. It's 62° out right now.

I was up early. Doing better with going to bed and getting up at a decent time finally. I have several things done at my desk.

I have to go to church at 10:00 to help address post cards. DH volunteered us for some committee and of course he's never around to do stuff like this. It's supposed to be just an hour.

Cold and rainy here too. We're supposed to get a little snow tonight so the kids are pretty excited about that. We'll see if it happens.

Your house sounds lovely, Lilac. Blue shingles. . .I'm trying to picture that. And dd2's deck sounds amazing!

Slow start today. I have reclaimed the kitchen, checked emails, sent out one organizational email, taken dd13 to school, had bfast.

OKay, in what length of time did dh lose the 60? The dr should maybe wait to evaluate bloodwork and reconsider the next 40, especially if it would make dh particularly thin. His bloodwork may tell a completely different general health story now. I doubt VERY seriously that the dr counted on a patient coming back at the VERY next visit with so much success and 60 full pounds lighter! I would say that happens in about 1% of his patients! I don't see how you can stand not to be there!

Sunny, I hope your day is full of progress and relief.

Harmony, how can he "volunteer US"? LOL! I think you two need a separate volunteering policy!

lucylee, could you call the customer service of the eye product and ask if they changed their product? I don't know if you would get real info that way. But if I were you I couldn't use that new package a second time, unless it could be tested on your inner arm or something and expected to show true allergen reaction there. Do you have a precious package so that you could read ingredients (or does makeup even have that listing - not sure).

Lilac, I didn't know there were for-sale-by-owner sites with photographs capability. I must be out of the loop.

I've had a coconut milk smoothie. First one. Hmmm. Thin and not too sweet - it's okay.

I tumbled out of bed late today, but I am moving now. At payroll I am doing tutorials. Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD9, but she has a project due tomorrow. I have emailed XDH to see if it should be Girls Night In with homework or rescheduled. If we postpone until tomorrow, that will be interesting because I have a vet appointment with Dcat18 in the afternoon. She is a longhair and will come out a very short hair and bloodwork done. For blood tests on this one, they have to put her under general anesthesia or blood gets taken from the vet tech. My December is looking very chaotic, especially the weekend of the 10th.
