Oh my goodness, Kathryn! That is quite a task for a VOLUNTEER. I believe at that point I would have volunteered myself right on out the door. * whew * My hat's off to you and your coworker for sticking with it.

(((Harmony))) -- for your VOLUNTEER work, too!

(((Hugs))) to Sunny & dh!!!

Harmony, I've been sewing today, too! ;) Repaired hem on one pair of pants and fastener on another.

Hello to Lilac... helia... Indiana... Nancy... Elizabeth... (((Dcat18)))

Wonder how things are going w/Dee & family...

Definitely want to second Harriet's remarks. Poetic license is allowed and ENCOURAGED here in the village!!! We should never allow the RULES to stifle our brilliance. (Of course, I tell my students they have to learn the rules first; then -- perhaps -- they can break them!)

Re: doctor visits. Last time ddad went to Nashville to the specialist about his bloodwork, dmom could not go, so they called dmom and put doctor on speaker phone while ddad was talking with him.

I would like to read the Bible through again in a year. I have done that a couple of times, but then got bogged down the last time I gave it a try. I'm still going through it chapter by chapter... but VERY VERY slowly and sporadically. I was inspired at dgmother's funeral, (almost 15 years ago now) when I learned that she did this also.
I read my daily Bible reading faithfully, EVERY day, using The Upper Room devotional guide. I just don't get through the extra chapter(s) regularly.

I have a LOT of resolutions I need to make * and KEEP! * I guess I am trying to get a head start on December goal of daily exercise. So far, three days in a row, if one counts two miles (total) walking Sat. to/from game.

Hmmm... glad to see we're ALL carrying something for a change. ;)

(((Sadie))) Such sad, tragic news about the wreck.

BIG WTG, MR. OKAY!!! 60 pounds!!! That is something to shout about!

Thanks for the thoughts re: prednisone, Twins. I did not call the doctor re: eyes today. They do seem a tiny bit better. Dfriend @ school said dermatologist told her never to use mascara longer than ONE MONTH. Wow. I bet mine is 6 months old.
I may try to call customer service re: the eyeshadow. If I try to use it again, it will be Saturday, when I can take it off the very SECOND it begins to bother me. Good gracious, I hate to start trying to find another shade/brand. Because even the hypoallergenic kinds CAN be irritating. The worst reaction I have ever had was with Al*may. Isn't that brand supposed to hypoallergenic? * sheesh *
The suspect right now is May*belline... chestnut brown... and I have used it for YEARS. * sheesh *

Well... the washer machine is beeping... I need to do some more Christmas cards... also need to organize some stuff for school tomorrow... better get moving. * Also need to exercise. *
Tomorrow is another day.

I'm getting the place in shape and doing some rbr pick ups taking a bit of a break after dinner.
Floors still need attn. Cleaning here then going to dd's in the pm tomorrow to help her clean to get ready for their Christmas party.

Table are folded and stashed in the storage room. My storage is full but neat h. said I guess you can't ask for more than that. I must admit my heart is not really in it. There are leaves all over the place outside and it's supposed to rain tomorrow sigh! I moved a few things around in the carport so it looks a bit neater now.

I guess I should be grateful b/c this is the best motivater that I know of to get in gear and get stuff done, but w/ h. ill it's frustrating. They wanted to come today but I just could not make that happen.

I got the Tuesday kitchen chores done, wrote a short review of the concert for the church newsletter and ordered the toner for the other two printers. I also went through my zone chores list and spaced some of them out over the week and moved the ones I missed to tomorrow's list so I'm ready to roll in the morning.

I feel better now that I've done something around here. I've done a lot of stuff over the past few days but precious little of it was for the house, most was for the church.

Lucylee I have to admit that when I heard what she had done I thought about quitting because I knew this day would come. This stems from our postal strike during the time the orders had to be submitted. The orders are on multi-part forms and the central church would not extend the deadline so she got the idea of having everyone fax their orders to her, she'd combine them into a mega-order (getting major discounts for volume which will be her profit for this work) and then we'd split it. She sent that order by courier to the central church. When I talked to her about sending in the orders by courier, I meant the churches would drop the orders with her and she'd combine them into one courier package. Instead she came up with this idea in order to make more money for the Resource centre. She just didn't think it through and envision the work involved.

Two weeks from now is a Presbytery meeting night but dh needs the car that day so I'm not going to be there to volunteer for that. My work today makes me feel guilt-free about not helping out on her monthly busy day. I'm skipping the evening meeting too, because I don't think dh will have the car back in time for me to make it to the meeting. Dh offered to rent a second car for that day so I'll think a bit on it, but skipping Presbytery appeals to me.

Lucylee, it's entirely possible your eyeshadow is different. Companies change their formulations all the time. New and Improved dontchaknow!

Kathryn, wow that is a real mess. Boy, I wish I had that many sheets in money that I had to weigh it instead of count...now that'd really be something!

Nancy, I wish you great success with your house showing. It's hard not to get one's hopes up each time, isn't it? I'm very thankful now for our renters. So far they've been extremely nice and caring about the house & property too. They actually just paid us 6 months in advance. It turns out they were watching our house whole time we were trying to sell it, wishing they could live there.

I've been sewing a lot. And I use a thimble on my right hand if I'm going right to left or downward. If I'm sewing upwards or left to right I put a self-adhesive vinyl pad on my thumb. My sorest fingers from all the recent work are my pinkeys and they don't get near the needle.

But my house shows my neglect. I'll have to make this time up tomorrow.

I made the guys' lunch for tomorrow and cleaned up the kitchen. And left DH a note not to forget his lunch. I always have to remind him.
