I'm up and at 'em after a solid 8 hours sleep last night. While I'm not quite as hyper as yesterday, I'm definitely feeling more alert and energetic than usual.

I have almost two hours before I need to leave for payroll, and there are some things to attend to first...

- pay rent
- critter care
- laundry
- housework
- clean out car

Of course, those pretty much all need to be broken down into some baby steps, but I'll do that after I clean up a few emails and have my coffee.

I totally understand about kids running up debt, Lilac. A couple of years ago, we paid the rent one month on the apartment DD and her fiance were living in (he wasn't her fiance then..LOL), plus we spent several hundred dollars here and there helping them out with groceries and gas. Altogether, it came to at least $1500. She's made a few small payments on it, but I know money has been fairly tight for them, so this year for her birthday present, we decided to just wipe the slate clean. She thought that was a pretty awesome present!

<soapbox>I also understand the whole "your name isn't on the account" fiasco. Technically speaking, if the person who calls us isn't on the pet licence account, they shouldn't be allowed to make any changes to the account. However....one has to have some allowances in there, for heaven's sake! If the husband registered the pets in his name, but the wife calls in, can give all the pertinent information on the account, etc....I've always made the changes they request - add a pet, delete a pet, spay/neuter information, etc Some people, OTOH, seem to have a policy book up their butt, and use it as almost a power trip (how far can I stonewall this person before they totally snap? sort of thing). While we do need to be careful of releasing information due to the privacy laws, we also need to provide a high level of customer service! </soapbox>

Hmmmm....my coffee's almost done, so I'd better figure out what I'm doing next!

- get dressed
- flip laundry
- write rent cheque
- take ddogs for a very quick walk to pay rent
- bring some things in from the car

Yes, Indiana...I had thought it was something related to your breathing issues! Wow, but it sounds like a scary experience!!! I'll check back later for the next chapter of the story.

Indiana glad to see you can post again!

Several have mentioned about banks and payments... hubby said they have some new rules in place from the govt. he had to confirm some stuff for the farm yesterday also. So you are not alone. What a headache!

H. has the flu had to get the sheets in the wash and do a quick change so he could get back to bed. He was arguing about water I was firm with him and he had some more did not want him to get dehydrated.

Coffee is on my bs is good today one of those nice boring #'s Harriet mentioned last month. It's hard to believe that it's December already. Yesterday I helped dd get ready for their Christmas party I folded clothes and helped her re-pot some plants. Some were 2 person size ones that took us both to move they are lovely but imo makes it a bit cluttered looking I'd take out the smaller ones and smaller pieces of furniture but that's just me.

I'm going to have dd "help" me with the creche' to build on the memories and tell her how I did it in ceramics with my grandmother when I was a girl we had fun painting in that class together. Now there's an idea if you need one!

Indiana, I said mold's previous effect on breathing, yes. Thanks so much for the posts to let us know all this. Smiling at you around know-it-alls but then you weren't quite on your game to help them understand their limitations.

Good job helping dh, Nancy. Glad to hear how boring you are this morning (not). :)

lucylee calling someone as you walk out from a quiet nighttime building is VERY smart.

Dove you gave Elizabeth fun ideas last evening. I just mentioned in A,C&N thread that creative supplies could be a good choice for gifts for children or adults.

Lilac I'm glad this last part of transitioning into the new house has been smooth.

Lynlee, thanks for mentioning med - I need to remember, too.

We had a terrible night's sleep. Slower start today. Just now getting food into my tummy, but then that often has to happen. Morning Daily Card's laundry is still spinning and it's after 11. Already had to chase out the door today with worry.

I am pleased with a helpful online site for children's educational toys (posted in HGP thread) and therefore potential finish of gift shopping for party of the 17th. Hit a snag with photos but can probably get around that.

I want to go through our weather forecast for next 15 days and add little sun or precip icons to my December calendar. That will help me decide which days to plan what, especially getting the tree.

lucylee, I have current Upper Room right here in front of me on desk right now. I was interested to read about Devozine, their teen pub. Do you know much about that? looking online it seems too grown up for dd??? But then, she is probably exposed to a lot of too grown up negative stuff, so maybe we should actually try to counteract that with positive. I was also considering Susie, the mag that replaced Brio, although I would have thought the publisher that does Upper Room would be a smart choice. Do you have (or hear) opinions on these teen mags? Maybe helia's teens do...

helia, see above paragraph, LOL.

I need to flip flop laundry. Maybe start another load of our bedspread. Then continue calendaring, maybe make online order today. I really don't check with anyone except dd on the 5 child's gifts we buy outside immediate family. She is final authority on girls gifts.

Got that round done, and now it's time to get ready for work. The upstairs critters are done, but I still need to do the two downstairs litter boxes. Then I'm out the door!

Good morning everyone! Last night I did make it to church for dinner. I ended up with a half shaved, all angry, Dcat18. She is over it now. I remembered to bring in the trash cans, reorder medicine, return library books, and even unpacked a few things from boxes. I checked the mail and there are no bills. Where is my auto insurance bill? Today I need to recheck the book I am not finished with and mail some things. Tonight is art class. At payroll, I am reading more documentation.

I, too, have had to explain a company name to the bank. Of course, the name was "The Other Woman Fan Club". (The Other Woman is an airplane and the fan club was the flying club for it).

Dove: Thanks for your Girls' Night Out ideas. Although if this continues, I will have to rename it Girls' Night In.

Gotta run before CUOP so this is a post and run.

Got the main floor vacuumed and dusted, cleaned off the dining table, started to set it for dinner, washed the floors. S2S, started the roast in the oven on time bake and have had a light lunch.

Ran the payroll cheques and now am going to dry my hair and fly out the door. I have to be where I have to be in 28 minutes. It is a 10 minute drive.

Busy place today!

MT - you might start a new fad with that new shampoo smell. :)

Indiana - Yes, I thought it was due to breathing. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

I've been busy doing normal stuff - working in garden, cleaning house, LO care, etc Feels simply wonderful to be able to do this.

Waiting on COB to know the outcome....today is a deadline in our legal proceedings. Papers are due today by other lawyer. I talked to paralegal at noon today and nothing has arrived yet. Either they are taking it down to the very last moment of the very last day..... or they are not going to do as the judge said.

Okay, I am praying that these legal proceedings favor you.

We now own 2 homes! Yikes! After we closed we went to the utility company. Dh then headed back to work and I went to the grocery store to pick up prescriptions and some groceries. Came home, ate lunch and here I still sit. I guess I think this stuff will march over to the new house. I wish!!!!!

I am seriously thinking about a nap and I don't normally nap.

I haven't mentioned this, I don't think, but I feel so funny over at the other house. In 2 plus years I have spent a lot of time there enjoying my dd2 and the kids. They were always there, either all of them or I was babysitting but I was never there alone. The last 3 weeks since they have moved it was still their house. Now is is finally ours and I feel odd going over there. Isn't that crazy? Once we get things over there it will start feeling like home, I hope.

Well off to do something, even if it is wrong.

Indiana, you've been through quite an ordeal. I thought it was your oxygen level too.

I've had the same problems with authorization nonsense. With Cell phone companies. With electric company. I remember at other house they didn't want to set up account in my name (I was the one who went to the office) because previous one was in DH's name so technically the deposit was his.... gal at the office looked the other way and opened the account. I told her I am the one who pays the bills religiously every month, never late, etc., so she did it.

I can see their point, though. Say a disgruntled spouse leaves and starts up new account..... but there should be some way of including both from the very beginning on these things... and certainly at least accepting money from whoever wants to pay the bill.

Busy day here. One trip to supply house and jobsite with coil nails. 2nd trip to HD to buy 2X4's and deliver out there. 1st trip out I stopped for groceries and a stop at the bank before coming home.

Crockpot of beans & ham cooking. My own recipe. I hope it turns out, anyway, that is dinner today. It was cold this morning and house was chilly. At grocery store I also bought a pair of sweats and a flannel pj set. I'm now set for winter.

Lilac, congratulations on the new house. Much success in making it "your own".
