Helia, we had our card compromised recently too. Someone in England used our number and credit card company caught it immediately and called us. We got a new card too. I asked them how that could have happened and she said they get into a big data base somewhere and just check to see if the card number is an active card.

We got a call an hour ago, DDiL up north has had her baby 2 weeks early. Little boy, 6 lb. 14 oz, 20 3/4" long. So! Happy news! This makes 3 for them. I had to remind DH that 12/2 is also his DMother's birthday and she's gone now but there is another birthday on her date to remember now.

Last night my headache turned into a bad migraine. Aspirin didn't help but my stomache was so upset. I ended up sleeping on couch to be near sink and not wake DH. This morning I am 95%, but that's enough because I have a boatload of stuff to do.

Harmony and Mr. Harmony - Congratulations! How meaningful that a baby is born on great-grandmother's birthdate.

Happy for Norma and Cowinkie and menfolk - tell each other "Hi" for us. Ya'll should tell Emptynester "Hi" too. (I think of you as right there together, lol.)

MDCard lol was a mini-load, so I need to get a real load in the wash so I don't fall further behind.

My Later-on:
When dd gets out of school, she doesn't know it yet but she gets a trip to WMart to pick up photos, batteries, other. WMart offers matte finish paper, and no other Snapfish outlet here does. I'm glad to pay extra to pick these up personally (BTW Snapfish is offering 1-cent prints right now and half off most everything else.) because there are a few ways this order might not satisfy and I want to have time to insist on re-do. It's already dawned on me too late, I want a larger size for my ddad for his room. Plus, the batteries (heavy sigh) are for the camera to take shots of that antique portrait that was given to me literally falling to pieces before it disintegrates more AND the antique Christmas quilt if I can EVER get it hung, and prepare photos of both those heirlooms for extended family. But I'm not busy.

Today our annual card from Ordell Daily (neighbor)arrived. This year, she had rented a beach house for her entire 17-person family, had them all dress alike, and had a professional photographer meet them on the beach. She sent a custom folded card with one photograph printed on front and 2 printed inside of different groupings. The perfect Christmas letter was also inside. She does all this in the summer, I think, and then just has her dh drop by the PO Dec 1.

OK, yesterday's house blessing is finished.

Dinner smells amazing. Although, with garlic and onion in the crock pot, how could it miss?!

I've tweaked the Christmas light it went easier than I thought that it would.
I've raked the front yard it was warmer than I thought it would be so much more pleasant than I was anticipating did 3 mi. on the ex. bike too.

Might get in a prayer walk this afternoon some concerns on my heart this week previously mentioned on the boards. We are starting to wonder if the only thing that will cause dgson to wake up about school is the lesson of failing 3rd grade.

H. was in a much better frame of mind this morning when he got up today slept well too yea. I'm enjoying some solitude what a gift for me to appreciate today!

Harmony - CONGRATULATIONS!! Such a joyous occasion!

I've been on the phone either talking or txt'ing with one family member or another all morning. Plan A was for me to stay at hospital today. That plan was scratched when I realized 2 Grandboys will be here along with a dozen DFriends (FNG is meeting here) tonight. Plan B was for DH to go to hospital. That plan was scratched when DBro got moved from ICU to a room this morning. Instead of having a RN totally devoted to him, he will share an RN with 2 other patients. No more standing beside his bed since there are chairs available now. There are 4 family members staying today so they will hear results of brain MRI. The decision of what to do next depends on that test results so DBro is semi-stable and in a holding pattern for now. So, as DNephew put it - "Today is a good day".

I've been putting Christmas decorations up and little here and there. It is a slow process because LO has to inspect each decoration and be taught how NOT to break each one.

Lunch was hot links, chicken, baked beans, fresh salad and salsa. I also prepared turnips for the first time (that I can remember). I usually only pick/cook/eat the turnip greens and let the turnip compost in the ground, but I got brave and decided to give it a try. It turned out better than I expected! i will be doing it again.

A timed break. Won three games of Gin so brought my average back up a bit (still over 92% but it was edging down there for a bit!)

Next challenge is either a grocery and gas run or polishing silver while watching a movie. Or maybe walking for the mail. It is just below freezing here and has been snowing all day so the village is looking rather pretty. (The snow will melt tomorrow.)

Hello Dear Ladies,

It is cold and raining here today, temps in the 40's.

They are predicting winter weather for us beginning this coming week. Even predictions get major headlines in our corner of the world. I'm sure WM will be busy this weekend with people doing "the white sale" before the storm.. That's milk, bread and tp.

Got a low burning wood fire going and it feels wonderful. Sometimes WM is so cold, I try to store up the heat feeling while I'm home.

Going to do a bit of writing before heading off to work.

-put dry cleaning, insurance id card, and check to cash later in my car
-clear kitchen table
-get rid of 10 pieces of paper from my "hot" kitchen counter (File, trash, recycle)
-put away big basket of laundry

Hi everyone! I am just back from lunch where I overstuffed myself. The past two days I have not eaten enough, so it is ok. As usual this week, I am sleepy. Could be the cold windy weather, or the overcast sky, but it is not that I am getting to bed late. At payroll this morning was more slogging through documentation. This afternoon, I have to integrate some changes into a set of documents. Tonight, it is imperative that I thaw some meat for tomorrow's guests and get gasoline for my car (BRR!). This weekend I will try to get to the store to order curtains, my kitchen has large windows and sliding glass door and is very cold now.
