Tuesday at Tara

Post by Twins' Mom »

Lucylee commented last night that she would would....
I'll think about that tomorrow, at Tara.
So let's pretend we're at Tara today and work on all those "put-off" jobs!

This southern belle won't need a parasol today as we're getting rain today. I'm trying to decide whether to go out this morning in the rain to look at clothes and perhaps purchase something dressier for services at the conference next week.

I have to be back here before one for the online CPE this afternoon which will last two hours.

I hate to think about all the housework Tara would require!!!

I'm up and very successfully at it.

Leave in 20 minutes or less and just have to finish my cereal and brush teeth before heading out the door.

I'm under my SAD light while I eat and I've done all my exercises.

It really helped to set the alarm for 8 hours after turning off the light although I don't think dh was thrilled that the alarm went off at 5:35! But that meant I could lie in bed for 40 minutes listening to the radio and still get out of bed with enough time to do everything I needed to do.

Good Morning!

I am up an on task, although not on schedule. ;) Last night I was up/down several times during the night. LO was dreaming and talking outloud and it woke me up. Then he has a cramp in his foot so I rubbed it until he went back to sleep. I'm happy that I can usually return to sleep quickly after each time I wake/get up.

OHHHH I just love the thought of living in Tara. :)

I just turned down a gift offer from DSon/DDIL. There is a newer type monthly delivery happening for little ones. DSon/DDIL asked if Babbabox would be a good fit for LO because they want to give a yearly subscription. I hope I didn't offend by as-gentle-as-I-could-decline. I'm sure it probably a good thing, but it just didn't feel right for us......beside being too expensive (IMHO). ARGHHHH....double thinking my reply......maybe I should have said Yes, just to not hurt anyone feelings. >>>>drumming fingers<<<< Well it's too late now because the email reply has been sent.

Nothing like a little second guessing ones decisions to start off the day.

Scarlet needs to get going here at my house. I remembered I hadn't done SAD light when Kathryn posted so sat down to do that, and I'm still sitting here. My best bet is to go ahead and s2s, and do a.m. routine when I get back...while listening to the webinar? ;)

Okay......ready, set, go.

This northern belle :) is trying to fight IGAD syndrome. I am looking at about 5 hours at home by myself right now, and my main task is to be ready for my final exam tomorrow. I'll have some time to review tonight and a little tomorrow a.m. too. . .I'd also like to get caught up on laundry; I have a huge pile (2 full loads) of light-darks (tans, pastels, etc.) that I had forgotten about - and I try to do towels and bedding on Tuesdays as well. Everything else is pretty much on hold until after my final, though I do need to pick up dd13 from band practice (they're rehearsing with the composer of several of their pieces today!) at 4 and take her to her oboe lesson 4:45 - 5:30. I've started frequenting a nearby coffee shop during dd13's oboe lessons so I'll have a large table and a mug of decaf to support some Hebrew review later this afternoon. Tonight we're eating leftovers for supper.

I am at the moment living in Tara! Everything possible was put off while I finished that gift for dbaby, now done and sent off.

So I am focused for as long as it takes to move ahead, do all the things I've been neglecting. I did keep up with dailies, but no focus work and certainly no extras.

OKay, never heard of that service, but I'm sure you know best!

Kathryn, remember Tara had all those servants (s laves) doing all that work. Never saw Scarlet do anything, until the war!

The little bits of puttering around I do on a continuing basis, picking up, putting away, little chores I do automatically certainly do make a huge difference. The little chores keep the paperwork personal and business going smoothly also.

List yesterday was too ambitious. I was exhausted at the end of the day and only half was done. I am continuing those and adding other chores.

Desk day done.
Today: need to
finish up picking up the house
floors need swept and mopped
my cartload of leaves needs raked up and dumped.
yesterday's laundry needs folded up.
porches need cleaned. I don't know if I'll get to that chore or not.

I'm up. That's about it. I slept in some, which I needed, but there is still much to be done before heading off to work in 90 minutes. I have to bake at least one batch of shortbread (hopefully two) for the cookie exchange/potluck tomorrow, deal with all the critters, have a shower, etc etc etc. I need to get moving, or things won't get done! Yep...once again, I'm feeling rather like the White Rabbit

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date, yeah me too bittersweet. Got stuck to my office chair here in front of computer.

Does getting rid of 70 emails count for decluttering? For sure answering a bunch of those and sending a couple emails and checking into my FB messages and account counts for anti-procrastination chores!

Though I'm still sitting here in my PJ's. Going off now to dress and go out and rake.
