Yesterday, I ordered curtains for my kitchen, sight unseen on my Dad's recommendation. (He has 50+ years experience as an interior designer). I also bought my first snow shovel. However, XDH shoveled my drive and walk before I got home with it. I did almost nothing yesterday otherwise, I slept about 15 hours, including sleeping through dinner. I want to move in with Harmony and her 87 degrees. It is still cold and snow is still on the ground today. I am not sure what to do on this Girls' Night Out with DD9, but I know it cannot be videos anymore. Though what else it could be in this weather, I am not sure yet. I am going to suggest Chuck e Cheese or library.

Kathryn: Thanks for the tip!

IGAD - I Got All Day - aka procrastination

One batch of shortbread made, critters done, meds taken, and dMum commiserated with on the phone - she went for a bone density scan yesterday, and it seems she may be losing yet more height. She was - 'back in the day' - about 5'10". Yesterday's measurements had her at 5'5.5". She wants me to measure her again to see if they measured wrong (or converted wrong from cm to inches).

Now I need to get dressed, get my lunch together and get out the door!

We may get a few flurries today. Not having a measurable snow by now is unusual for us.

My breathing was very bad yesterday. It was from the change to high humidity. Today it is fine.

I'm going to take Jake out for a walk.

Elizabeth IGAD is I've got all day.

Trash is to the curb today.
I have a plan for meals, chicken and pumpkin are cooking.
BS was a great # today.
I shared a recipe in fitness thread.
I'll repost later in the recipe section.
P/c is giving me fits so that will wait.

I dug my 2 timers out to keep me to schedule. For ease of repeated use, I have one time set to 15 minutes and one timer set for 45 minutes. this brings back such comfortable memories from doing challenges on the old SHE board. :) 1 minute and 37 seconds left of my 15 minutes update SHE cards and GMAT break. *POOF*

We were up early today and worked with about 20 others to clean the 2 miles of road in front of the park. It was "crisp" out this morning but walking along seeing who could find the most interesting type of trash was fun. Then coffee and goodies at the club house after that.

When DH and I came home we attacked one bed beside our driveway. It had a silver cholla, angel wing prickly pear and two BIG agaves. The cholla and angel wing are now gone - there are some dead pieces and the big root left to haul off but we have hauled 4 - 30 gallon trash barrels off. Next is to get all the little seedlings, the dead pieces, and a lot of rocks that have been buried by rabbits and ground squirrels digging under the cacti. Then we will trim up the agave and rake the ground smooth. I was given some desert iris to plant yesterday so they will go in there. I think it will look good and won't be stickery.

I don't remember if I told you we were able to pick up a desk at H4H yesterday. It looks almost like a sewing table with table legs at one end and drawers at the other. Since we both can sit at it at the same time (one on each side of the table leg end) it works well for us. The lamp fits on the end with the drawers (next to the window) and I still have room to work. I think I will probably bring my drawer top from the MH to put over the top drawer here to make space for papers I am typing from etc.

OKay - I have to get a couple timers for me. DH stole the one I had and uses it when he BBQs.

I've got butter and lard out softening for my MIL's sour cream sugar cookies. But I'm waiting for the glue over some cacti stickers to dry so I can pull them out. One of the chollas bit me on the heel. Found out if you spread white glue or melted wax over the stickers - when it dries/hardens - they pull right out.

IGAD - I Got All Day - aka procrastination

Closely related to IGAW (I've got all week) or even IGAM (I've got all month.)

I'm linked up for my webinar and listening along. Clicked "OK" on the first participation pop up. :)

Successful shopping trip - found a dressy yet different black swing jacket marked down (and 40% off of markdown price) and and a black and white houndstooth pencil style skirt that will be 50% off on Friday. Left the skirt, and a couple more items on hold to be picked up after 50% off event. :D

Twins - BWTG on finding required clothes and on sale!!

We are going to try again eating protein/carb/veg meals. Both of us are leery about doing this, but are going to give it another try and watch DH BS and weight. Lunch today was fish sticks, mashed potatoes and green beans. jello & Whip cream for dessert. I measured wrong on the potato portion and my stomach is complaining that I ate too much food. i'm marking it down to "Lesson learned" and not to be repeated (hopefully).

My challenge for the next hour is to update DDad medicine list for him. He has an appoint with pulmonary doc tomorrow.

Twins, your new clothes sound very pretty.

Boy, I just don't know what to do. There is so much work arouond here and I don't have 1 shred of energy. I can't seem to muster up the strength to "get into my groove" and work away. I've been doing one thing, then I sit down, over and over...not getting much done this way.

I did go out and rake leaves. Determined I am not going to stay ahead of these leaves with just 1 cart load a day. I did 3 today. Maybe that's what's making me tired. It's a lot of work.
