Re: Wednesday
We took a long bike ride.
Just the fact that you can type that in seriousness tells me you are in pretty good shape, Harmony.
I am just going to shut up about Kathryn's slivers project. I'm just going to be supportive. My supportive face
LisaB, I hope you have paddled out of your garden by now!!! Good luck!
((atlantic flyer)) Have your salient, brief points written down, right at hand, before conversing with agent/people. Other driver was charged by police, fault of other driver was admitted on the police record, etc. (In my opinion, either of those points sends up a red flag to any responsible agent reviewing this. Wish my opinion made a difference!)
Dd33's family left in a very anti-climactic manner, since we decided not to eat together and really not have them over to our house much at all today. HRH was worried about my ddad contracting the cold, and I don't think dd33 or I had much appetite anyway. Kinda made me sad not to have a big happy meal farewell as usual. I napped as soon as they left.

Re: Wednesday
Okay, I'm sorry about your brother. I lost my last sibling about 6 months ago. It's hard.
AFlyer, I am glad your son is not hurt, and sorry about the accident and your husband's health issue. I hope everything works out!
As for me, I finally did hem those pesky curtains today. They look very nice. I cleaned the menorah and tabletop - wax everywhere! It took quite a while. A new menorah for next year is on my wish list; one where the candles fit better and are spaced a bit farther apart so I don't knock the lit ones over trying to put the shamas candle in. I swept the floors and did 2 or 3 loads of laundry. I cleaned the guest bath.

Re: Wednesday
Harriet You should know me well enough by now to know how seriously I take being a cheapskate!
I've just made a donation to the Alberta Children's Hospital. In light of the situation with dh's cousin's child, it seemed logical to switch from supporting our local children's hospital to his. And I was able to direct the gift to neurology. No updates on the baby's status but he said it would a lot of watchful waiting. Besides, hospitals tend to shut down non-critical diagnostics at this time of year.
I need to buy Tim Horton's gift certificates and mail those, plus a gift for the baby, and a card out to them. That will be my top to-do item for tomorrow. The gift certificates will give them a place to grab either a coffee or a quick meal in-between doctor's appointments. Ds's hospital actually has a Tim Horton's in it but I checked and the children's hospital doesn't.
Next challenge: finish up the donations. I'm having trouble concentrating today plus this is a spending money task and I hate to spend money - even on budgeted items.

Re: Wednesday
I napped with ddogs when I got back from errand run. Drugstore didn't have listing ready for me yet so I said I'd run by tomorrow.
All except one of the receipts I submitted yesterday for health care reimbursement have been processed - only the last one submitted hasn't cleared.
So I need to get rolling again.
-10 (at least!) more pieces of paper gone
-fold lol and start another load
-answer a temple email
-refill meds containers
-load electronics to be recycling into the back of my car

Re: Wednesday
Donations are done. Being able to do it over the internet and via credit card is so easy. Except I over-donated by $100 (I wasn't paying close attention to my spreadsheet that tracks where our money goes.) Oh well, dh won't be upset.
I also tidied the fridge and tossed most of the leftovers. I just couldn't face eating anything that I ate the day I was ill (or the day before.) I decided I had to have the last of the turkey leftovers so that will be my dinner. We had saved enough to give everyone one meal of leftovers and I'm the last to eat my share. I still have the soup to make up (the stock is frozen out in the garage) but I'll see how the leftovers sit on my tummy before going to that work. In cleaning out the fridge, I discovered I was low on milk so dh is picking that up for me. Oops, this is when I sent him out to run errands and I didn't get the floor mopped while he was gone.

Re: Wednesday
((((Cathyy))) I'm sorry to hear about loss of your last sibling. Do you have other family?
I am working updating NTBE (need to be eaten) and on menu plan for the next few days.
I decided to stay home tonight from church and give myself a couple hours of quiet time. Being in a quiet environment is one of the fastest way for me to recharge.
