Normal Day Monday

Post by Twins' Mom »

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return."
-Mary Jean Iron
Today may be your "Back to Normal" day or you may be waiting until tomorrow. (I have a bit of both going this week, and the real normal doesn't hit until dkids go back to school.) Either way, this is the week for getting into the new normal routines and back to normal working, eating and resting habits.

Yea for NORMAL!

I would have slept in after I let the ddogs out, but dcleaning lady regards this as a normal day and is coming today. Will be interesting, as dh is watching TV on the couch, and I don't know what his plans are. Anyway, I need to get things straightened up for her.

-kitchen counters
-reboot laundry
-straighten up family room
-straighten "Hot" kitchen counter
-clear kitchen table

Okay, Dcleaning lady called and isn't coming until tomorrow. I'm good with that except that we have dfriends coming through here to spend the night this evening...OTOH, if declutter and straighten up today that should do it, except for changing sheets on guest bed.

Not normal here. Still have 3 extra bodies in the house. Dd flies out at 2 so we'll leave for the airport around noon.

We'll take dnephew with us because he left his student card (which is the access card to his residence building) at home so his dad has sent it by bus. That means we'll run into the bus station to pick it up. If it isn't there yet, we'll go back tomorrow on our way back to the university.

Ds is here too. At least I think he is, I didn't hear him come in last night. He has the day off.

We'll take down the main Christmas tree this morning.

Not sure about plans for the rest of the day. Stores are open but post office, banks, government, schools are closed since it is the day off in lieu of the stat holiday because New Years fell on a Sunday.

So it looks like normal will need to wait until tomorrow for me; dh is underfoot, dcleaning lady isn't coming, but we are having overnight house guests tonight too. I've made a grocery list and a list of somethings that dh can do to help today but haven't even finished up that last li$t.

I hope I don't live to regret what I just did. I tried to post some things on my local Freecycle group - one item the 24th, and another item the 28th. Both items are still awaiting moderator approval. I tried emailing the moderator a couple days ago, and got no reply. So now I just emailed the state level person, volunteering to moderate if there is no active moderator for my local group. I have the time, and the group has new members joining but no posts at all, so the alleged mod has been not doing anything for a while.

Not a lot going on today. It's curl up and stay cozy time while it snows.

Good Morning!!

Normal is wonderful!! I am having a great normal morning along with a few challenges to keep me on my toes. :D

I'm following scheduled cards as best I can. As the new hour or 1/2 hour arrives, I am leaving undone all the cards assigned but not completed to that time frame. I want to stay with them and finish them to completion, but it is a lesson for me to not dally and see if I can keep as close to my planned "normal" time table as possible.

Breakfast = Breakfast burrito (sausage, egg, onion, cheese, salsa, diced jalopenas)
Lunch - jambalaya & sausage, green salad, dessert .....can you tell sausage is top on my NTBE (Need to Be used) list? :D
Supper - chicken fry steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert
Desserts - choice of orange or green jello, applesauce, vanilla or chocolate pudding, diced peaches.....all served with whipped cream
