Tenth Day Tuesday

Today is the tenth day of Christmas, but I'm not sure than any of us really wants ten lords a'leaping in our living room! How about if we just come up with 10 things we're going to do today (however big or small they may be)?

Dh has went to work. I didn't think he should but he said he is going to call for a drs. appt. With the outage starting next week he has so much to do but if he is sick, he is sick.

Anyway today I am determined to finish emptying that house, so I can start cleaning.

Guess I better get in gear.

Hmmm... I would take the ten lords a-leaping, if they would leap around and put up all the Christmas decorations. I don't know WHEN that is going to happen, since I let yesterday get away from me. Actually, WE let yesterday get away from US, b/c I think I need dh's help getting the boxes out. The Christmas closet has become dh's BOX closet. You'd think we were running an e-bay business, the way he hoards boxes. It is really ridiculous, but he has it all contained to that one closet. Unfortunately, no one can get anything out of the closet w/out first removing his boxes.

Anyway... heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to work I go. I've probably got AT LEAST 10 things I should accomplish today, bsweet, so I'll let you know how it goes!

Hope dh feels better as the day goes on, Lilac, and good luck w/your packing/moving/cleaning.

Interesting title today here in pwyc! My Ten Cards to begin s2s & fix hair, trash day here and it's to the curb already, email dsis, granny duty this afternoon. Tweak card file a bit the other 5 are TBA!

Crafting room is calling get out fabric for table / desk we moved in there last night for a sorting station first then to use later on. {It looks better now.} Last night I thought of the dishes that needed to be containerized so they won't get dusty and I have one to use for that! So that's up for today in a bit. I'm thinking I can use the Christmas cards for crafts punching holes in them for dgd to "sew" with taped yarn. I did some knitting last night.

Call library Hoping to get "the help" movie to see.

On general principle, I find it odd to say I would not accept a gift of men - but I think 10 is a bit too many. And since they are Lords, they probably think they are in charge. That would be a deal-breaker. If they were all handymen and window-washers, then we'd talk.

School run was handled by HRH this a.m., so I got both of them off well.
I have finished Morning Daily Card well, through to fold and put-away of laundry.
Done an extra load of dd13's black school embroidery sweatshirt, delicate, to hang-dry
15 declutter in Master closet (declutter area for me this week)
15 cleaning in Master closet, awaiting Chistmas decor storage (focus substitution for me this week; others are on entry)
Ordered a "hold" on dd13's AR reading from faraway library.

Breakfast was a raspberry coconut shake. Lunch will be a 3-egg omelet.

Hmmm ... ... Nancy, I think our garbage day was postponed one day due to observance of New Year's Day holiday. I hope so - it's too cold for me to consider getting out with the trash I've generated today! I am staying in today to start feeling better (ears aching) for super early trip out tomorrow on cold, cold day.

I'm at my volunteer job and the resource person isn't here so it is just me.

It is really quiet so I tidied, shelved the books that came back and helped someone find books for a project they are working on.

I've also checked my own email and am now reading the SHE site.

Dropped my nephew off on my way into work. I didn't bring a lunch so might leave soon to pick up something.

Hello. My one Lord-a-Leaping was out working on the plants when I got back from my trip to the bank, post office, and returning unused truck parts. We are getting a freeze tonight and he was out putting Christmas lights all over the plants! We laughed about him not wanting to decorate and now all the bushes are covered!

I helped him finish that (though don't know what that's going to help because the bulbs weren't warm at all) and we will put tarps / blankets / freeze cloths over everything. We lost so much last year. It took all year to get growth of foundation plants back to what they were before the freeze last year. So I'm not happy about this at all.

He put a couple 60 watt lights in the grapefruit tree, the papaya tree, and one in the one planter where we have a huge begonia blooming. I brought my geranium inside. Wish us luck with all this.

Been working on my total spreadsheet the year, making notes for the cpa. That's about done ready to print now.

I have church meeting tonight and I must go clean out a notebook of last year's stuff and write 3 thank-you cards for the ones leaving our group this year. I guess tonight I begin my secretary duties, hoping they aren't extensive. Also, they want me to go to the church tomorrow AM to help with that other committee I got volunteered for.

DH is out looking at a skylight for someone; I sincerely hope he is not up on a roof.
