Conga? Oh I KNOW what my conga will be. Congaing through all these annual reports. Just emailed off the minutes for December's meeting to our church secretary. They need priority! :?

Heard dh doing dishes. I'll be so glad when he feels better.....seems like everything I say is somewhat wrong when he's not feeling himself. Just more snappy than he normallyis.

Off to clean the living area. Hope to have it ship shape before the weekend. DD did talk to dgd's case counselor this week and mentioned how many footprints/fingerprints she leaves. Counselor had no idea what she was talking about. Not so much that she leaves footprints -it's how and what she does as a 13-year old that's maddening for all of us.

Better run before dh decides I'm lost in here.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Good morning, villagers ~
Only time for a mini conga here, I'll do more over the weekend.

Thank you everyone for your words of comfort & kindness in J&C. DNiece's funeral was yesterday, interment is this afternoon. (Delay caused by the cemetary office being closed for the New Year's holiday.)

I've been going up to DSis's each day since Saturday to try to help. Of course there's very little I can do from long distance, but while I'm there I can help with food, clean the kitchen, hold babies and put away toys. DCousins drove over from Colorado and DSis insisted that they stay with her. There's been a constant stream of visitors to the house, so there's always something to be cleaned and I am happy to do that.

It occurred to me this morning that they will need to send hundreds of thank you letters. I'm going to buy stamps and take my netbook with me today. Maybe DSis will let me start the list of checks received for the fund they are setting up to donate to children's cancer research. She and her 2 older girls were very careful yesterday to write down the info from all of the beautiful flowers and gifts. I know she is concerned that the thank yous be sent out immediately. She and the girls want to write the notes themselves, but I can do a spreadsheet and address envelopes for them.

Dee, I can tell you that two 19 y/os leave a ton of footprints, fingerprints, and trails showing where they've been!

I am really working toward not spending today out of the house. I think I am going to skip the Friday night dinner at temple tonight (dh is not feeling well and said he didn't think he would feel up to going) and that will leave just groceries, cleaners and gas for today. (The last two undone from yesterday.)

Okay, interrupted by a guy coming by to hopefully do some work here at the house. Went through a li$t of what we have at this point. The last experience using a person from dh's business network was not a good experience, so we're just doing enough work with him to see the quality of the work and his work ethic first.

Dd is helping a dfriend move into the dorm at the local university today - she had lived at home for the first semester - so dd is up and gone for the day already.

Need to get rolling....
-clear kitchen counters
-move dd's clean laundry to her room, preparatory to starting laundry today
-bring down dirty laundry
-start a lol
-give Macs meds

Booksaver, I can imagine that management of the thank you note list including addresses would be a load off of your dsis' mind right now - good thinking!

Booksaver, that is a wonderful thing you're doing in helping that way.

Conga! I have been doing the dance in my office as usual, but I am wrapping up loose ends and there are a bunch of them. I've done a couple spreadsheets and cleaned out 2 files; filed away some stuff from 2011 and set up some for 2012. I have a sea of papers both in the office and out at my desk. Need to get that organized next.

It is really really cold here. Well, really for us. It is barely 60. I don't know what makes Florida cold so much worse than cold up north. Partly it's because our bodies aren't used to it, but it seems to be more than that. 60 / windy down here means winter jackets, scarves, gloves, hats, socks. Up north 60 is an open jacket. I remember.

I'd like to get all my paperwork cleaned up, then do a clean in the house.

Waving at Sadie and Harmony, since I'm still stuck to this kitchen stool. Pass the BGS!

Good morning y'all! I have made a long conga list for the weekend. Here it is: LOL, hobby room work, quicken update, donatables to Goodwill, clear stuff from MBR, bills, mail portrait to parents, mail stuff to Maria, groceries, replace light bulbs in LR, hang curtains, move pictures from camera to computer. That is not in any particular order of importance or time. Last night I got oil topped off and washer fluid. Washer fluid still does not work. I SO don't want to have car repair bills. I will ask XDH about it when he is over to help me hang curtains tomorrow. In return, I am feeding him dinner. I also have to research shore excursions in Warnemunde, Germany. We have decided not to do the Berlin excursion from there as it is a 3 hour train ride there, then 3 hours back again. How much could we see?

Good Morning! Beautiful here today and we will be off to lunch with friends soon. Saturday night is a "Cownkie/Sweetie Night" - burgers and car cruise night. You would think we are teenagers again! It is a fun get together though.

TWINS - I am really anxious for you to get that house going. I'm sure you have wonderful plans for decorating your new home. I am envious.

We are enjoying our winter here as it is 19 degrees at home this a.m.

Got that round finished, although I found a lol from yesterday still in the washer with the lid open, so it's been soaking since yesterday morning. It's going again now.

This round:
-call dmom
-email the designer we met with yesterday
-clear kitchen table
-two emails regarding temple biz
-call dmom's old doc regarding a script

Thanks, Norma, we're excited about it too. I was amazed at all the decisions that we got through yesterday!
