Hi everyone! I'm sorry for the spotty attendance on my part. I guess I'm taking Post When You Can quite literally.

Ooh, I remember that song, bittersweet! I guess I was 9 that summer. I remember my cousins who lived on a farm in SW Kansas really adored that song.

We're having a mild winter so far too! Lots of sunshine, barely any snow, highs in the 40s - even up to 50 last week. Kids are pretty disgruntled, but it is great for jogging! I have been jogging outside with dh the last couple weeks. We went jogging along the river yesterday afternoon. The path was pretty muddy in spots and even icy in one spot, but the scenery sure beats jogging around the track in the gym. I have the feeling we'll be paying for this weather later, though. . . . .

So far, I have:
-started a.m. routine
-fed ddog - b/c ds didn't do that (his chore) this a.m.
-fed and watered hens and gathered eggs - b/c dd13 didn't do that (her chore) yesterday.
Grrr.......
-had dh help me with a problem with MS Word
-sent off 2 copies of letter + a couple photos to friends via email
-met dh for coffee

Next:
-finish my a.m. routine (reclaim the kitchen, start laundry)
-prep pork medallions for dh to cook up tonight
-prep more letters for the snail mail

Main goals for the day:
x coffee with dh
progress on mailing out letters
progress on translating Ruth 2 for class tomorrow
driving marathon with dd13: pick her up after synchro. swimming practice at 4:10, take her to her oboe lesson 4:45 - 5:30, take her out on a dinner date
laundry catch up

Waving to all!
I'm up and my bs was down this morning 65 was my # today. I had a cookie, did one mi. on the ex. bike and light duty work out on the total gym mostly to help my back I'm hoping that's the case any way.

Granny duty for a few min. then we have to take dgd to school & I have a few things I need at the store so this works out well for me. So I'm joining the errand day convoy today. {She just had a melt down having a rough morning so far hoping it improves.}

Second round is done...and had DH not decided to get up and turn on some Star Trek movie that he's not even really watching :x I would have had time to do a quick workout. However...this provides me with the incentive to take the spare cables upstairs to try hooking the VCR and DVD player back up to the TV. They were all hooked up nicely, and then the kittens chewed through the cords! Hopefully, the new cord will work, and I'll be able to use the upstairs TV sometimes for my workout.

By the time I get everything working (or decide something else is the issue), it'll be time to get ready for work *sigh*

Sorry, Bittersweet, I didn't have enough time to post this morning.

I did get off on time and arrived on time at the jaw doctor's although the highway was still suffering from rush hour (at 9:20?!)

That appointment was easy (to make the molds for my new appliance) and then I finished up the errands from Sunday and gassed up the car.

Now I'm having junk food and wifi for lunch before heading into the Presbytery office and then a Presbytery meeting tonight. The meeting will actually be interesting tonight and is in my area of competence. Yay for my courses requiring me to study the item under discussion!

I'll join the feeling good convoy.

Harriet I should have been clearer on "normal" jeans. Sometimes I forget you can't see what I'm talking about.

Before I dropped my 140 pounds my jeans had an elastic waistband and no pockets. I kept a pair. Now I wear jeans with a zipper and button and pockets. The reason I said my current jeans are my normal jeans is only that I wear them currently. The elastic waist I call my big jeans. I couldn't get my leg into my normal jeans because it was so swollen. My normal jeans aren't tight - it was because my leg was so swollen.

We have had a warm winter with no snow. That will change this week. Cold and snow.

The moon has been awesome the last two nights. The first it was covered lightly with a thin cloud so it looked eerie. Last night it was orange/gold as it was coming up.

Good to see you posting again and we're glad you are feeling so much better.

I've loitered here enough and really do need to get to 'work' now. Will see you all tomorrow unless I peek in from the Resource Centre.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Wonderful to see you posting (((Indiana)))! :D

It is cloudy here with rain moving in, maybe snow? coming later in the week.

Been really involved in detailed dusting, like throughly cleaning vertical blinds while listening to audio books. Finished "Tale of Two Cities" yesterday. Today I'm listening to Jane Austin's "Persuasion". So far it has just been one English lady reading each chapter and has made it quite enjoyable. What is the difference between English and British? Are they the same and interchangeable?

Have gotten my dailies done. DH is off working at a call so I can work along better. Dbrother is watching TV.

Have started doing taxes too. Did my easiest one yesterday. I do taxes for 3 sons and then DH and I.

Had to spend some time on the phone for Dbrother over an insurance problem. Seems to be a code problem for lab work done in October. Code used says it was not medically needed, but it really is something that is needed. Called Lab and they were going to fax primary care doc for new code to see if that will take care of it. Have to call Lab back in a week. It is always complicated.

Going to take a shower and then do some more work around here.

HOORAY!! Indiana posting. So glad you are feeling better. We are getting better here, too.

DH worked on making new bed yesterday and finished it this morning. I had to help when he was cutting big plywood sheets and when we had to flip it to put on legs and bracing. Also helped carry it into bedroom.

Then I pressed bed skirt and got it on the bed so we are ready to go when the new mattress gets here (sometime between 3:15 and 5:15) this afternoon. So we will sleep in a REAL bed tonight!!!! :D :D :D

Now I have to tackle the pile of clean laundry on my chair and dishes in the sink. I've done all the dishes and just have pots and pans now (from about 3 days) that really make my kitchen look bad.

Time to apply the BGS and move. I've got my breath back now from putting on the bed skirt. It will be nice to have a tall bed so I don't have to bend over to make it and get all out of breath!!

PS: There will be pictures of the bed as DH was making it on my blog on Sunday.

Oh, that seems right - it's a feeling-good convoy, Indiana! I've had other convoy thoughts, like, if we were convoying, where would be be heading? I thought: Eddie's Villa Del Weenie, of course! :D (P and P's brainstorming spot)

Where are you choosing your audiobooks, Sadie? Great way to multitask. I think Britain is the whole island, England, Wales, Scotland.

Does anyone else think the Emptynesters have been so honeymoonish lately? I mean, he's making her a bedstead now. So romantic.

helia, it's great that you and dh have been able to get outside to jog until way down in January!

helia's post remind me that Nancy had asked about our hens. We're getting 1 or 2 eggs a day - most often 2 - from 3 hens, Nancy. For January that is the picture of health, and a testimony to the honesty of the lady from whom dd and I bought the 2 pullets (6-month-olds). They were so large and strong, HRH suspected her of selling us older hens, but obviously they are first-time layers, and along with Fay, the 3 are really producing.

Hello everyone! Long time, no see. I feel bad that I haven't been able to visit here with you all. The last week of so have been somewhat of a challenge! It will take a while to cuop, so for now I will just post without reading.

We had a quiet New Year's Eve just the two of us.

Last week ds#2 told us that ddil's dparents gave them a new tv for their living room. It is too big for their entertainment center, so they offered it to us (the ent. cent. - not the tv). They will give us their older tv also. We've had their stereo record player cabinet for years (ddil's uncle gave it to her) they did not have room for it in their house. So we'll swap it for the e.center and they will mount the new tv on the wall above it. Well dh wanted to get our living room ready by moving the furniture around. Well we still had the Christmas tree up, the chairs were pulled out of place and we were moving the two display cabinets to a different wall when dh tripped over his own big feet and fell against one of the chairs. He's had sore ribs again. But we have the living room ready and I was able to clean the walls before furniture was put back. Ds said he will bring the new cabinet next weekend. He was surprised to see the room changed around, but dh is determined to still do heavy things like that.

Sometime last week I felt like I was getting a cold - headachy, runny nose, tiredness. (Moving heavy furniture didn't help either  ). That all went away, but my right eye got sore. I have developed a sty on my right eyelid like I've never had before. I finally got some otc ointment which helped with the itch and soreness. My eye is still blurry and it's hard to focus to read, watch tv, etc. There were a few days when I didn't even have the computer on which is really unusual. It felt better just to keep my eyes closed! That's really boring!

Anyway, I've got all the decorations down finally; just have to get the last two totes up on the shelves in the laundry room. I've got my calendar ready for the year and dh's pocket calendar for all his dr. appts. is set up also.

We've had nice weather here in central FL since our little cold snap last week. Temp is 71* and sunny. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow evening.

It's almost time to think about getting something ready for supper. Bbl to roam about the Village.

P.S. Mack Truck, beep beep! I remember the "Convoy" song, too.
Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. --- Francis of Assisi
