Just read Harriet's post and am appreciating the humor in the search for the bottom of the laundry baskets!!
Um, and I'll confess, I also have laundry baskets whose bottoms I haven't seen for. . . years. One contains clothes to be dry cleaned which I've delayed taking care of, at least in part b/c I'm not sure I still like the dress and the sweater that belongs to dh has a hole in it and I'd like to just throw it away instead. (At this point, maybe I could just throw it away as he has probably forgotten about its existence. Hehehe. . . . ) Also at the bottom are place mats that had wax dripped on them 2? winters ago. Since it is dh's initiative to eat with candles in the winter, he said he would take care of them, but I think he has surely forgotten about them by now - and I'm stubbornly refusing to do something he said he would do.
Hi - I've got the cold/congestion that DH and DS have had for two weeks. I really thought I had dodged the germs, but yesterday I could tell I was getting it. Today - full on head cold and chest congestion. Glad I had no outside appts. scheduled for the rest of the week. Staying home and drinking hot water and resting.
It would be an opportunity to handle desk piles, but I have a case of "donwanna". Maybe set the timer and do 15 min. at a time.
Thinking about Okay today - the village is with you.
Home again - our temp has dropped from 44 when I left home earlier to 33 now....heading to a low of 21. I wouldn't mind seeing some snow now that I'm home!
I stopped off at grocery also as I realized earlier that we are out of bread when I made my lunch earlier. It seems like the last time I bought a loaf, ds commented that there was already one in the freezer - and I assumed there would still be at least one there, but it's all gone. We sure do use fewer groceries when he's not around! I was too late to get to the bank; actually would have probably been okay but I hate to drive up to the drive through at 3:55 when they close at 4. I did save a trip to the post office by putting an RSVP card for a wedding into the mail at the office.
I don't have the heart for cleaning up my crafty area. It seems super overwhelming and I have wire cube storage that is leaning and needs to be taken down and rebuilt. And with moving this summer it almost doesn't seem worth it. But I should.

I have obtained lunch with a friend and got stuff notarized at the bank. XDH is moving on getting my name off his house and getting my equity in my hands. I called the tax people and found out that getting my equity is not a taxable event, even if I do not roll it over into my new house. I may put part of it in my new house though, and maybe some into retirement accounts. Or I could go on a spending spree (not really, I'm too much of a cheapskate). I have a meeting at church tonight, I am not sure if I am going to simply work late or go home first. Home is not out of the way. I am curious to see if my house still smells clean or if the reality of 4 cats has come back.
Little-child entertainment - Yes, Land Before Time, as I remember, is interesting and wholesome, with big, soft-colored images. And the Franklin videos are even better for a young child. Nancy, if you happen upon any Little Bear ones at thrift store, they are similar to Franklin. This is one difficulty I am noticing for dd31 - she has the 3 boys 2 years apart each, and any younger brother will naturally be interested in what the older brother likes. So WonderBoy and now LittleBritches (who needs a new Grandma nickname here) tend to get used to superheroes and transformers extra early, and may miss some of the more age-appropriate, calm toddler entertainment. I remember dd13 used to love a Sesame Street video about Big Bird getting ready for bed - that one was so gentle and comforting before a nap or bedtime. Looking it up now, I think it was the one called, "Bedtime Stories and Songs". Dd31 sure does have her work cut out for her, times 3.
Very happy to have our inspections done, and I sent the tag money in to DMV in today's mail, too. So that is handled. (If you dare to pay before inspection, you get a bad note from the state but you can also get one if the money doesn't show up promptly after inspection ! It's been this way ever since the 2 were linked according to the calendar, which I think is silly. Nobody used to make mistakes, because the inspection due date was clearly stickered onto each windshield, and we just paid the tag bill when it arrived. Now, everybody stays confused and the lines at DMV tag offices are longer because people miss inspections.)

Big Bang Theory has a new one tonight, so maybe I'll get that wreath fixed up. Oh, they were so overlooked last evening at PCAwards - but then, many of those awards went far afield, we thought.
Harmony - Cuties are little oranges that are sooo easy to peel. They are the perfect snack size for LO (and me!!) They seem sweeter than "normal" oranges.
I solved one of our problems that has developed since giving up satellite TV reception by buying a season of Max & Ruby. It cost me .52 cents per episode - well worth it! Max & Ruby remains LO's favorite show and now he has it again. He doesn't watch much TV normally but there are times that 20 minutes of Max & Ruby is much enjoyed!
I still haven't solve the ESPN only offered football games. I had planned to just purchase a ESPN subscription but this week I found out I can't because we don't have access to any of the Internet providers that are required. Arrrggghh!
I tried Netflix and HuluPlus trials but have already canceled them. They didn't have anything we wanted that we don't already receive through Amazon prime instant videos.
I love love LOVE the Roku! What a wonderful little device.
Haha, I think DD2's youngest, now 7 missed his entire childhood, in attempting to keep up with his big brothers. But I remember when oldest DGSon from that family and I watched Sponge Bob in order to appease in his words the "little ones" who were only 2 years younger than him! Nothing like being the oldest to make one feel superior!
More desk chores done. Always a bunch when I come in from errands, receipts to be logged, copied; this time there were payroll sheets to chop to the right size and fill out for the start of 2012 too.
Dinner/dishes done. Helped DH unload his truck, just dirty flannel shirts, cooler, stuff like that. No heavy lumber this time!
Ah, cuties, great little things. Have one DGS who devours them! 2 days ago customer gave us big bag of radishes - her neighbor was cleaning out garden and she had too many. We ate them in our salad tonight.
Rough night here, I have a tooth or gum that is "lighting me up" to use the dentist's term. I've had throbs from it before but nothing like this going on for several hours. Spoke to dentist earlier and I left message a few minutes ago that I will probably want to see him tomorrow. (Don't think it is cavity or abscess as I just dodn't get those, however, I do have issues w receding gums.) I found some of the Tylenol 3 that I didn't need after last summer's surgery and we'll see if that helps me get through the night.
We have a dusting of snow.
