First of all - I'll repeat what I typed in yesterday's thread:
I just realized that I mis-typed in my excitement yesterday. We sold out 5th wheel and the lot in the desert - NOT our house. DUH!! I should read what I type before I hit send.
We now only own our MH and little pick-up and our lot and house at North Ranch. We have finally sold the big truck, the 5th wheel and the lot at Eden Park. Hope that is as clear as mud.
It is 5 am and I've been up for 1 1/2 hours. Thinking of all the stuff I have to do - and so little time to do it all.
I am making lists so I don't forget anything. It doesn't help that it is the weekend - or maybe it does as some things just can't be done.

I was up early because I left my alarm set when I went to sleep, and once it went off The Beast (aka Macs) wanted me up and moving. Speaking of The Beast, he does have Cushings disease, and will need meds and frequent monitoring but it is a treatable (but not curable) condition. He's had meds this morning already, also something for his anxiety about the thunder this morning. (Cushings is the overproduction of blood cortisol - I wonder if he has less going around he will be less anxious about thunder and less high strung?)
Tonight dh and I are going to the black tie affair. I think I posted that I found a suitable dress. Today's jobs are to shave legs early on and rub in a little self tanner, and to get a pedicure. I am planning to go bare legged and am hoping I can "bear" the new strappy sandals.
MT, whatever it was that you posted, I knew that you were talking about the lot in the dessert!

MT, I too assumed that you meant the 5th wheel and lot. When you said house, I just thought, well the 5th wheel has been their "house" the majority of the time since they hit the road, so that's how I came to that conclusion.
I went to bed after 1 and was up a little after 5. I couldn't think of a title to start today, but MTs way would have been appropriate for me also.
Dh has went to work for awhile but plans on coming home as soon as things are in order.
It is suppose to be very windy today and tomorrow. There is a chance for rain tomorrow and we sure need it.
Well, I knew she wasn't selling anything that had that lovely new bed Mr. Emptynester made! Btw, have been meaning to say TERRIFIC job on quality storage underneath that. And it doesn't look as if there's any particular storage at all, with the dust ruffle. If you hadn't mentioned here a stool to hop into bed I wouldn't have even thought it was particularly high.
I was up a little late but thankfully my ddad was up later, too, so nothing got too far ahead of me. I do approximately 1,000 little things every morning and they all got done. LOL.
Then outdoors with dd to do some extra henhouse work. Poor thing, both she and I forget how tall she is now - she clunked her head on the top of the doorway. She only had on a thin hoodie.

Twins no black tie for me tonight. We are having a beach party clam bake. They brought in clams, shrimp, craw fish, andouille sausage, new potatoes and corn on the cob. We are to wear beach party clothes in 20 degree temperature and 12 inches of snow on the ground.
Doing the Happy Dance for MT!!!!! That is simply wonderful how your hard work has paid off. You have done an outstanding job of getting things ready to sell and going through the many steps of getting them sold. VBPOTB!!!!
TMI warning....don't read if your queasy. LO continues to be congested but it is less and less each day. Yesterday, he only got sick to stomach 3 times due to being choked by the excessive mucus. I got up twice during the night to give him medicine so we wouldn't get behind. I was up another time to just hold him upright while he slept so he could breathe easier. His fever is still going up but like the congestion is getting is less and less each day. This is a lingering type/tough virus. I've heard of it hanging on in other people for weeks (my DSis has had it since mid December). Hopefully LO will be able to get over it much quicker than that and DH and I won't get it!!!
I'm so very thankful that my schedule can be easily slimmed down during the past few days and the cards are keeping track of what is being skipped and will be there to get me fully back on track ASAP.
I'm off to the Pet Expo this morning. Last night wasn't quite sleepless for me, but I'm still very tired after pulling a 12 hour shift yesterday. It was supposed to be the regular 10 hours, but an hour before closing, we had 30 cats brought in from a house fire/cat hoarding situation. They all had to be processed, kennels gotten ready, cats transferred from carriers to kennels, etc. There were only two vet techs on duty, and rather than see them struggle with the overload, another co-worker and I offered to stay (on our own time, since we're not actually supposed to handle the animals) to help out. We got kennels ready, moved cats to their kennels, and generally played gofers. It was very much appreciated by the techs, since even with four of us, it took about two hours to get it all done!
Now that my coffee is done, I really must get myself moving here...I have to be at the Expo in an hour!

I have been sleeping great this go around with dh out of town! I have also been going to bed earlier, so I have not been as tired during the week as I usually am. That has been wonderful! However, I made the mistake of telling dh how well I was sleeping w/out him while talking to him on the phone yesterday, and I hurt his feelings a little. Last time he was out of town, I slept awful.
I am not needed for soup kitchen work this afternoon, so that is helpful! Ds is going with a friend anyway. I think he needs the volunteer hours for NHS.
Our Sr. pastor called yesterday and will not be able to make our lunch with the missionary tomorrow b/c he is doing the baby's funeral tomorrow afternoon. I had wondered about that. I think the lunch will be very very small, I can count 7 right now, including our family. Ds will not be there, so only 2 others besides the missionary. I called and downsized my sandwich order this morning.
We got another inch or 2 of snow last night. It is gorgeous outside with the snow, blue skies, and sunshine! I may shovel the driveway (I don't like the snowblower), only b/c small group kids will be at our home tonight and friends will be here for lunch tomorrow. Small group kids will be here tonight b/c Dfriends S and R are hosting small group this time, and as a young fairly newly married couple, they're not well-equipped to entertain 8 adolescents in a separate part of their house. Since we only live a couple blocks away, we often have the kids at our home during the study and prayer portion of small group time. The kids eat with us first, of course. If not for the guests, I wouldn't bother shovelling as it is not deep and will melt on its own as we're supposed to be up in the 40s tomorrow and Monday; no forecast for real snow for us yet. Dh and kids are a bit disgruntled. They want that big snowstorm! I know the kids want a snow day, but I'm not sure why dh wants it. . . . . It must be the adventure of it all.
I got my cards out this morning so I feel good about that! Now, I just need to do them. . . I think I'm going to do double duty: shovelling snow (I made a card for that) will also count as exercise for today.
I stayed on program and got in a jog yesterday, so that felt good. I'm getting out of shape, though; I was more tired than usual by the end of my jogging time.
I have pancake batter resting, so I'm going to cook those up for the kids and get going on my day -- now that it is approaching noon.
Helia, I understand your dh's desire for a snow day as I'm the same way! For me, tho, it needs to be January or early Feb or it presents more stress about working getting done and less ability for me to stay home in front of a fire.
Indiana, do you still get your weekly mani-pedi? I've mowed my legs and am heading out to get pedicure. When I get back I need to do laundry and some clean up rounds as this has been a crazy week. Also need to get some groceries and stop at the drugstore at some point this weekend.
For tomorrow afternoon, dh and I are going to walk through the builder's house that has few interior upgrades. We still haven't signed off on the exterior upgrades as dh is freaked about the dollars. He's worried that we'll also want a lot of interior upgrades and that we'll exceed by far what he has in mind to spend on this house. So hence, he's trying to get into his mind what is standard; he's very frustrated 'cause he feels that every little tweek is $$$$. Somehow I anticipated that, but it has him thrown for a loop.
Also I have a meeting at temple and then am staying for a bit to work on purging a closet of old temple records - shred, send to archives, save in closet, etc.

TwinsI'm getting my manicure every 2 weeks and pedicure every 4 weeks. My hair is every 4 weeks too. It is so convenient going down stairs for everything. They both do great work.
