Re: Make it Fun Monday
Dee, I'm sorry to read things aren't going smoothly. You don't sound super happy this winter, but that might just be the way I'm reading things. (Hugs).
I've been keeping up ok with everything. I reconciled another account. My last tax thing came today, so I'll be going over everything to see if it's all there tomorrow, and might take it down to CPA if he's going to be in.
Kitchen's cleaned up. DH watered the grass tonight; I watered the bushes and planters. Remade bed. Folded another LOL.
House looks pretty good. I'm a bit brain-dead from figuring out my sewing. I don't do well with numbers and measurements.

Re: Make it Fun Monday
Dh came home feeling like he is coming down with the same virus that he has already had 2 bouts of.
Dd2 stopped by for a minute tonight and I think part of her problem is that she realizes she should have stayed put and it is too late now. She is always commenting on things she misses about this house. On top of that there are days that she makes at least 5 trips to town. That is time consuming and expensive. Of course, she will never admit that but I know her and how she is. When she had asked me about the cons of living out there, that was my biggest argument. She will never admit to me that I was right. But this is what she wanted. Dh and I just know that they will move from there, instead of staying put. She has said they aren't moving again but if she gets a wild hair, they will move. In fact, last week she was bringing me home after the basketball game and there was a house that she had always liked for sale. She was so excited. Dgd15 told her that if they move again during the same school year, then everyone will think her mom is crazy.
Dgbaby9months is almost walking. She will let go of things and stand or else take a few steps and sit down. She just wants to be able to run with the pack. She has a certain howling sound that she makes every time one of the other 4 mess with her. Whether they are teasing her, taking something away, whatever, she lets it be known they are at it again.

Re: Make it Fun Monday
Woohoo, Indi! So happy for you!
Thanks for checking in today, Lucylee. Thought of you as soon as I saw the reports & awful videos of the destruction on the news tonight. Immediately said a prayer for you & your family & community. So glad you are safe!
((LO))
Sending get well vibes to everyone who is sick or not feeling well.
So good to see you, Sunny
. How is Mr Sunny doing -- all healed now?
Enjoyed reading your cardfile post, Bookie.
My brain is mush tonight. Did a lot of physical activity & am tired so will sleep well
. Responded to everyone in my head again as I read.
Sweet dreams, everyone.

Re: Make it Fun Monday
Ooohhh... Lilac... that just made me think...
by this time next year, I'll have a dgbaby 6 months old!
And by the time I retire next May...
that dgbaby will be probably beginning to walk like your dgbaby... This is going to be sooo amazing.
(((HUGS))) for dd. * sigh * I can sooo relate to her uncertainty. Can't relate to the moving, though, I must admit. I can't imagine what it would take for dh & I to pack up and move out of this house.
I was watching Hoarders tonight, and they were talking about the floor rotting away under one of those houses. I kept thinking about dh's bathroom floor -- we are NOT hoarders, I PROMISE -- but there is DEFINITELY water damage around dh's shower and he is just in denial about getting it fixed. Doesn't want to deal w/my ddad... says we can't afford it right now anyway... says it's not that bad. It's going to get bad, I know... but ddad told us once about doing a repair where someone had actually had their shower stall fall through the sub-floor.
Someday he'll be telling that story about US. * sigh *
We also probably need those Oshan people to come out and jack up our foundation... have a crack in the sheetrock over the door in our study. * more sighs *
Other than that, we're good... and we're staying put.
Hope Mr. Lilac feels better soon, too!
Oh -- btw -- I told ds to please call his ddad before ddil gets a chance to post baby gender on FB! He said he would. Said the job posting was nothing big -- they'd already told us she had the job; it was just a formality to get the background check & drug test clearance. I guess that was right. He knows how his ddad can be, though, so I'm sure he understood.
(((BIG HUGS))) for (((Dee))) re: dgd... and of course, re: rx snafus, too. At least I am able to deal with local pharmacy when things go crazy here. I don't know what I'd do if we had to switch -- and our insurance company almost made us do that a year or so ago. But we could have used CVS or Wmart pharmacies, even then. The question for us was whether or not insurance co. would allow us to stay w/independently owned pharmacy -- which eventually, they did, thank goodness.
Good news, bad news here. I reconciled my checkbook/statement.
Good news -- I'm balanced to the penny again.
Bad news -- found a $300 atm withdrawal I had failed to record.
Other ta-da's for the day...
-- Got most of my grades in computer
-- Got lesson plans posted
-- Exercised
-- Gave test and have 3 out of 5 sets of classes graded, thanks to very sweet student aide!
-- Washed two loads of clothes
Waving to Harmony... Kathryn... Elizabeth... Harriet... BookSaver... sher... Twins... helia... MT... Dove... Sunny... OKay... (((LO))) and the Most Important Person!!!
Dove & Harriet -- and others I might have missed -- I wanted to thank you all for thinking of us & saying a prayer for us w/the storms last night. And Harriet -- maybe your ddad will get to enjoy some sunshine tomorrow. We've had a beautiful day today -- too warm for January, dh says, and it may bring more storms before the weekend... but still, it certainly feels nice while it lasts.
Maybe I should consider going to bed before 1:00 a.m. tonight. Yeah... that would probably be a good idea.
Good night, all!

Re: Make it Fun Monday
lucylee, I know that you and your dh will make wonderful grandparents to a very lucky baby. You are so right, it is amazing having another child in your life. For some reason I just keep feeling like it will be a little girl. Dd2 told me tonight that it still excites her to watch another baby learn how to clap, high 5, etc. I have always said that anyone who has seen her with each of her 5 babies would be convinced it was her first because she is always so nuts over them.

Re: Make it Fun Monday
Thank you, Lilac, that was so sweet.
EVERYONE thinks it will be a girl! Ddil's mom & a cousin & I don't know who all else who has dreamed it was a girl.
Hmmm... I don't know what in the world we'd do with a girl around here -- this is such a masculine, sports-minded family... but I know we'd figure it out! LOL -- dmil was REALLY shocked when dniece came along. Dmil of course had two boys, but out of the eight grandchildren in dh's generation, (dmil's nephews/niece) there was only one girl... and only two great-granddaughters in the next generation! So dmil was really afraid she was out of her element. Now, when I see what a wonderful relationship she and dniece have, I think, yeah... we could figure out what to do with a girl...
I just pray it arrives healthy and happy. Well... we can work on the happy part -- I just hope it's healthy -- and that ddil has a reasonably easy time of it all!
