TaDa Tuesday

Post by Harriet »

What TaDas have you tallied up to tell us?

Quoting Indiana from July 24, 2008, about what is a TaDa?:

A tada can be taking a few extra minutes on looking great.

A tada on taking care of something that has been put off.

A tada on drinking water and eating healthy.

A tada on spending some quiet time.

A tada on anything.

What are your tadas?

Thanks Harriet for starting us off today! Waving to all who follow.
I'm up coffee is made, h. is getting ready to head out jury duty process starts today day.
I spiffed a bit in the kitchen before heading in here to check on my email and cuop.
It's trash day here h. rounded that up last night and it's ready to go out he will take that to the curb before leaving.

I'm down a half of pound yea!
B.S. was up a bit this morning again still fighting the crud. But I do not feel to bad so I'm glad about that. I got a letter off to my dsis yesterday happy about that progress.

I need to get the sheets off the bed today so it's not made.
I have granny duty this afternoon.

I'm going to try to vacuum at least the rest of the living room this morning and then maybe the rest of the upstairs while I'm at it.

Yesterday was zooming around here at the village way to go gals!

Good morning! The pet sitter got my message and all was well last night. The dentist went ok and I balanced my checkbook. I did not do any sewing, but I did get to bed early. Girls Night Out with DD9 is tonight, she will probably want to play at my house. The prizes at Chuck E Cheese right now do not appeal to her. This morning I have sent a prescription to the mail order place. I need to call the other pet sitter. I also need to get some stuff to the mailbox and do some document work. We are having rain with a little snow, but nothing is sticking.

So far today? Not a single one - I just got up 20 minutes ago! Once I have a cup of coffee, I'll get moving, and then I'll have something to report. It's my late day at work, so I have a little over an hour before I have to get myself dressed and out the door.

My foster furbabies are all still at the vet. Although they were booked for surgery yesterday, something with another animal must have taken extra time, because when I called at 3pm to confirm a pickup time, they'd only done Herman! With any luck, the girls will be done this morning, and DH can pick them up this afternoon. The house sure is quiet without them!!

And now that I've wandered off, fielded a phone call from DD, cleaned all the litter boxes, etc...I guess it's time to hit "Submit" on this post and go get ready for work!

My Ta-das so far:

Exercise

emails (lots and lots of emails)

made my lunch for volunteering

volunteering (still there)

left my kitchen neat and tidy (despite deciding at the last second to make a lunch)

figured out that the church statistics book I need from our church office, is also here so got the statistics portion of the annual report finished, saving myself an extra errand today.

I'm having my lunch now and then will head on to the jaw doctor to be fitted for the night guard. After that, quick groceries and home.

Hello everyone. It is quiet here this morning.

Not in my house, that's for sure.

Tada's so far:
1 statement typed
1 long proposal typed
1 short proposal typed
Some bookkeeping done. Going through files for CPA.
Kitchen tidied up.
S2S with hair in rollers

Missed breakfast/ need to eat and take vitamins.

Biggest tada: getting through all the office work with a less-than-cheery DH. I think he's stretching to keep going and he hates paperwork, even on his best days. He's out making the rounds with all my paperwork neatly organized on clipboard. I can't imagine what would happen if I didn't do this stuff.

Hoping to have some sewing time this afternoon. I figure if I get all the office / house stuff done first, DH can't gripe about all the time I'm spending in the dining/sewing room!

I had a LOT of tadas yesterday. My husband and I ran errands and did desk work jobs we had been putting off because something more important was going on. But yesterday, we not only accomplished all those deferred tasks, but I even cleaned out my filing cabinet.

Today I had my checkup and cleaning at our new dentist (remember, we moved) and I am good for the next 6 months. My husband had 2 cavities, poor guy. But it has been a few years since he had any, so it's not too bad.

My husband has a huge tada today! He got an email telling him he has got the piano teaching job he applied for. He spent weeks practicing for the audition, and he is so happy and excited!

Back from hospital where DH flunked another cardio test. His heart rate was too high to do the test. We are now waiting for Dr. office to call back with script for him to take before trying the test again.

Of course, this throws a wrench in all our timing of going to lot, playing in the desert and the closing on the lot.

I am going to send PDF via email to buyers of our lot - so that will keep them at bay for a while. Just wait for the rest, I guess.

Of course, my healthy eating has gone out the window as when I am stressed - the desk with a bit of salt looks delicious. :o In other words, I eat everything in site - whether I like it or not.

Dh is home sick!

My tada is that I am at the other house deep cleaning the living room. Figured I better get it done and carpet cleaning for that room scheduled.

I came home to eat lunch, check on dh and I am now waiting for an Airborne to dissolve for myself. I am feeling a little sniffly and I don't need whatever dh has.

Better go and head back over there.

Good morning to all in the village.
Harriet - In response to your question yesterday about sunshine making the day seem more like a "day" than night, we got a little light yesterday and fog today. But maybe the sun will peek through this afternoon. No rain predicted for the next few days - we got 6 inches in 3 days - lots of trees down and power out in the county.

It worked for me yesterday to write down my top 3 items that were most important to accomplish by the end of the day to feel "TaDa". So I'm doing that again today! I'll post this evening my TaDas. Thanks for the accountability.

Tried to post and Empty and Lilac posted at the same time. Empty - sorry to hear about DH's test results. Hope it will resolve with meds.
