Morning gals!
Slept restlessly finally went in on the couch to get some sleep h. Z-z-z was noisy last night so after I closed the bedroom door I was okay. We did not get up in time for church and I had the sniffles so just stayed home instead of trying to make it to the 2nd service. My hormones are all over the place today and I've been weepy. Breakfast & s2s are accomplished now! And  BS was awesome today yea!
Yea we have the flooring back in the laundry room now! So happy to have that done!

dd said her fil had "no stint, no blockage and very minor high blood pressure. His Dr. said all the symptoms are from stress. So all is good."

No sun here today we have rain in the forecast ugh!

I think dh and I will go for a walk in the sun. It is above freezing so that might be quite pleasant.

The presentation went well. I ended up staying for another part of the meeting because it involved ministry and personnel. No one had come with the revised job description for the custodian although one man had it on his phone. So I had him email it to me (I had my computer there for the presentation) and I printed off copies for everyone so they'll deal with the issue at this meeting. They don't meet again until March, the previous custodian left 2 months ago and at this point they were talking about hiring a 10 year old to do the work and discovered no-one is opening the church for Sunday mornings. (Actually my music friend gets there first, has a key and opens up but it is not her job to do so and the heat doesn't get turned on until she arrives, sometimes only 60 minutes before church is to start.)

The board didn't want to make a decision since they had no idea what the job description was, so at least my getting the description in front of them might help them get started on the task in front of them.

I also told them who to contact about children doing the cleaning. My dd and her friend did it years ago (she was 12 or 13) and then they stopped hiring kids. There was probably a reason so I gave them the name of her supervisor so they can ask him for the reasons. I'm finding I'm holding far too much corporate memory for both churches. They seem to want to be spoon fed which is fine until I'm away and then things start to go off the rails.

Welll......it seems we jumped the gun in returning to outside activities. After spending time outdoors yesterday, LO and I were extremely congested last night. At one point, I wondered if we should go to ER but managed to work our way through that episode. We drained the HWH making steam in the bathroom a couple time through the night. the moist steam seemed to help more than anything to open up the airway/congestion. This virus just seems to hang on and on and on and on. I just want to tell it..... Go away virus! You are not welcome here! :D

I called DMIL early this morning to tell her LO wouldn't be attending church this morning. The 3 generations was planning to attend with us but seems 2 of the 3 generations are now sick too. :(

I am currently reading two books. One is a self-improvement type of book and the other book is fiction. One of them isn't available on kindle so i'm reading it from paper. After becoming accustomed to holding the light weight ereader, the paper book seems awkward to hold. I typically read with a pen in hand and mark up my books - underlining and/or highlighting passages that i want to remember. I'm not comfortable using the digital marking yet, but it is something that I want to become more proficient doing.

ds26 and ddil called from the road, having questions about ds' old friend from grade school, whom they happened to see. Friend had mentioned being cousins and ds couldn't remember his last name, so I gave a quick lesson, lineage, and history, informed him that was his third cousin and provided his last name. I had no idea they had been good friends in school. Ds was always so close-mouthed about school folks. Interestingly, ds said, "I wanted to say _____" and that was the last name of the two boys' mutual cousin, so ds did have a partial memory there. When I told the 2-generations back history, he said, "Seems like I've heard that story." Sigh. Yes, I probably thought you were listening, too. Probably more than once.

Then ddil asked about a crib quilt top that had been made for her by one of her relatives but given to her unfinished for one reason or another. I had to break quite a bit of bad news to her :( that hand quilting would cost about 3 times what machine would, that just finding someone to quilt it was not the whole answer either, because usually quilters will send it back unbound, or charge by the inch to bind it themselves. She really had no idea of the extent of work still left to do. I may call her back and suggest that it could be tied - but still I know she'll want to send it off, so there may not be much savings.

Our church service was very nice. Next week we start the early service. We'll see how that goes. I think dh is actually kind of looking forward to it -- makes for a longer afternoon.

Ddil didn't come to church this morning -- ds said her bp had dropped really low yesterday @ work, and coworkers urged her to go home early, but she didn't, and she was feeling better by the time she did get home, but she just wanted to sleep this morning. I told him that was all I was worried about with my busy-body remarks -- I just don't want her to push herself too hard and get sick here when she's just started a new job!
I think they will go out and eat with us tonight.

I've had my nap... now to get busy with some of the Sunday chores.
-- allergy shot
-- write check for newspaper man
-- wash dishes from lunch
-- double-check grocery list
-- s/s bathrooms
-- some other things I can't think of right now, but they are on my checklist. I think this will work better than the cards.
I'm still using the cards to remind me of things that don't come up every week, the focus zone, etc... but I have the whole week (w/dailies) printed out on an Excel file, and I think I like that better than anything else I've used. I can pull the cards, write in the zone of the week, add odd chores that don't even have a card, and I can see it all at once. When I'm just using cards by themselves, I want them ALL laid out constantly, so if I don't like what's on the top card, I can go on to another job. I also like marking things off as I do them, but even to a list-lover like me, it seems very redundant to make lists that say the same thing over and over.
Tomorrow is another day.

I finished up that round, then dh and I sat down and went over all the info and I've composed an email to the design person with questions/comments. I've saved it, and will go over it again with my notes before I send - trying to be sure I get everything.

DH and I agreed we take the dogs for a short walk in a bit - that will mean I'll get out of pajamas and dh out of his robe, LOL.

Never got this posted earlier.....watched some HGTV with dh, then we took the ddogs for a little walk - what happy boys. We stopped to talk to a neighbor whose dog is a little older than dMacs, when he was a puppy he used to love to stop there to play with "Leigh." At 12, she is going strong.

Sundays are my planning days.

I started first thing this morning and came to post and read. Harriets's post triggered some things I wanteed to think through and do a little planning.

Each time I came back the next post had the same results.

Dh and I had a great, long, walk. We took poles and I had on my grippers and we walked along the nature path in the village. I took some pictures since I thought to bring the camera and it is very pretty. We do love living here because it is very bucolic.

The tenor dh sings with was at the second service and I was able to get an update on his mother who had both a stroke and heart attack this week (and she was already in the hospital.) We didn't know at the time but while he was updating me, she had just died. I'll be baking this week. And singing. I'm very sad because she was a wonderful woman and a great booster to my self-esteem in the early days. She was at one of the Christmas concerts we did at her building and she was in great spirits that day, teasing her son something fierce. So that is a wonderful memory of her.

Today is Sunday so the funeral will likely be Wednesday.

CI: I'm having a semi-productive day.

* Got up earlier than I'd planned, did some work, resisted the urge to go back to bed.

* DH and I went to the truck stop for burgers, came back to do another set of chores, resisted the urge to take a nap.

* Went over to the fabric shop. Will report purchases in AC&N thread.

* The owner said several members of my sewing group were there earlier. She thanked me for helping to advertise the sale. (I sent out a couple of Email reminders because I don't think she was able to afford to mail any ads this year. It's a win-win for both of us, because not only does she give us discounts, but she offered to give us a free class later this spring.)

* Still resisting the urge to take an nap. Since we had such big burgers for lunch, I'm just going to heat up some veggie soup for supper.

* Tonight I'm planning to watch TV while I cut fabric to sew tote bags for preschoolers. Hopefully I can get it all cut tonight and set up my sewing machine, so tomorrow morning I can sew while doing laundry.

We have moved into the MH that is parked on our Eden Park Lot. I have done a few things in the old 5th Wheel and packed away a few things from the shed.

DH has the TV dish set up so we have TV. I'm very tired from packing/driving/unpacking. We went to church this morning. As it is the 5th Sunday the Pastor was off and we had a music service. Very nice.

I will go do some more in the sheds soon - but resting right now. Then tomorrow I have to get things set up for some inspections and then for the HOA meeting on Wed. I also have to call the Electric Co. and turn in a change of address.

I'll be glad when this is all over.
