Hi, I'm back!

Elizabeth, that sounds smart to ask a money pro about wise choices.

Dee.... wow. Complaints should be directed to the ones who pay MedCo or who got MedCo this work, in order to be threatening. In other words, your ins co ? or the work/retirement-plan folks? For me, if I got irritated with MedCo over my one thing I ever deal with them about, I would call BCBS (for whom I understand MedCo to be a contracted entity) and expect a listening ear who is on my side. I think I would ask, is their any advocate for me, is there anyone whose job is to make sure MedCo is doing right, that sort of thing. Your posts here will help you document, but good grief, it's not your JOB to have to go to all that trouble. Nobody is paying YOU anything.

(OKay) how are LO's grandparents doing - I hope this doesn't hit them too hard. I've learned that so often the ones in the family who have had the longest time to be exposed to the most bugs are the ones who are least troubled by "new" bugs.

Harmony, you are inspiring with your scheduling and calendaring of paperwork. Maybe you will inspire me to get early appts for taxes this year.

Glad dh is feeling better, Lilac.

helia, whatever you can do to keep the children feeling there is plenty of room for them, DO IT. That's my best advice.

I had a small apple and
after Morning Daily Card I did outdoor chores.
While outdoors I cleaned the vacuum cleaner
and went on a walk with my ddad.

He just insisted it was warm enough to go, so off we went, on about a 1/3-mile walk. He felt well enough to pick up and toss small branches along the way. I think he's really tired now, though, and I'm happy he's napping, but it changes my vacuuming plans.

I'll declutter next, then.

Had a fun, busy weekend & am looking forward to several busy days this week starting tomorrow. I'm home today erasing footprints, catching up, doing laundry & prepping for the upcoming week.

Pulled pork chops out of the freezer for dinner & found the last two frozen meals I had put in there in case I needed a quick, already prepared meal between Thanksgiving & Christmas. I had a total of five & they came in so handy last month. I pulled out the lasagna to thaw for dinner on Wed.

Spoke with dfriend this AM --she is hoping to visit here next month & stay a few days :) . We'll firm up plans over the weekend.

Have a wonderful day, everyone! :D

I love having meals in the freezer, Dove! Right now, we have several dinner portions of different soups in the freezer and a cooked chicken, but that is it. With 3 teens in the house, it feels like I need to cook for a small army to end up with enough for a 2nd meal. I should just bite the bullet and plan to do that sometime, however.

I am FINALLY going to the groc. store. I did call re: painting class for the girls, which they said was OK, which i thought they would as it means higher attendance and more $$ in their program. I later emailed to ask re: registration and payment, especially since dd13 is visiting the ceramics class with dh tomorrow and so may not stick with painting. I also made sure ds was OK after a small spat he had with dd16. Dd16 was fine. . .

I'm not thrilled with this, but tonight we will be scattered and dinner together will be impossible. Dh and I won't be home before 5:30 after dropping off the van. It needs to go to a village about a half hour away, and dh is not available until late this afternoon - maybe not until 5. Then, dh and I will try to go to the visitation across town at 6; the art class for the girls runs 6-9, and Ds will be going to robotics 6-9. If I make the pasta sauce early enough, maybe the kids could cook the pasta and serve themselves before they head out the door. . ..

I must get going! I also need to spiff the house for the meeting tomorrow, not to mention prepping to lead the meeting itself!

OK - up early and got the shed scrubbed and the tile replaced. Then came finding the septic tank for the inspection. We had how far it was from east to west but not north to south. I finally called the builder as he was the one to inspect it anyway. He brought his helper with a water pick. We finally found it about 4 feet south of where we thought and the measurement to the east lid was really to the west lid. Anyway it passed and all the holes are filled again.

About the same time the new people came to move into the 5th wheel. Then 2 other neighbors came to help them AND to move in their chairs. Then several others stopped by to see what was going on. It was like a circus.

Now I have to go up to President of HOA's house for a meeting. After that - I'm going to take a nap as I was a little geared up last night and woke at about 2 again.

Yesterday was DGrs/9s birthday so we spent most of the afternoon at his party. Dh and I napped a little in our chairs when we came home. Dh had spinal surgery not long ago where they removed C5 vertibry and fused 4 and 6 together! Surgery was because he had very little spinal fluid around that area and without surgery would have become a quadraplegic! Since I am in wheel chair part time when my Parkinson's tremor is going haywire we told Dr. they didn't make wheel chair for 2 like strollers so he wanted the surgery!! He still gets a little "tired" sometimes!

I awoke at 4am and worked on Dd/39's quilt! the blocks are coming along great but have to be careful to keep points straight!

I did some puttering towards going away. Got the gps receiver from the car and tried to get it working with google earth but that didn't work (besides it works best connected to the internet and we won't have fast enough connection on the ship.) Discovered my Streets and Trips has maps for Africa so I'll just try using it with that. It will give us lat/long, speed and direction. I thought it might be nice to have a paper map of Africa so we could have a look at the big picture and realized I had several of the continent from National Geographic so I went through my collection and we are taking three of them with us.

Also phoned and got 4 days added to our out-of-country health insurance.

There were a flurry of phone calls about the funeral. Yes, there will be a choir. So I called all our members and let them know. Our church musician will be playing. My music friend will just sing in the choir (since she doesn't feel well enough to play for the funeral even though it is in her church.) I'm to make a loaf of ham & cheese sandwiches.

Tomorrow is a snow storm so I'll go out tonight and get the fixings for the sandwiches. Dh is getting Chinese for dinner so I'll go with him. The snow has sort of started already but just a flurry here or there.

Ordered meds refills for dh today (his were due) mainly to see what happened. Sure enough Med Co called me while I was out to tell me his refills were not covered under our plan. Came home and called Med Co and the person I talked with discovered we have TWO plans -one for M V P & 1 for retirees which should be our prescription coverage. Aha, beginning to make a little sense. (Although it makes NO SENSE TO ME AT ALL!) Sure enough our meds were covered under old plan. But then we tried to change back to our old number which is now under Excellus (that really has me baffled) but the site wouldn't let me. Med Co rep transferred me over to web support and I was disconnected. Going to try again later. Talk about DPC!!!! Meantime I had called dh's dr office and she was fit to be tied (re insurance companies) but was giving the message to dh's dr tomorrow. I called back and told her to erase at least for the time being. We'll see.

Went to Wally world for paper plates/cups on the way to pick up dgd from school. We ordered pizza for supper since we don't want to do dishes. All of a sudden the water filter system is not working and the water is AWFUL! DD called them and they were hoping to come today -maybe tomorrow since they haven't shown up today. She also called the oven repairman and they're supposed to bring the parts tomorrow and install them. If this doesn't work, they'll replace the oven. Never realized how much we depend on it until we haven't had one at all for nearly a month. We have to be here for the oven guy tomorrow, so dh is planning to go walk early & I'll wait here. Picking dgd up from school today, tomorrow, Wed & Thurs and taking her on Friday.

Going to the church office on Friday to see if I can glean more info on the bulletin so we'll be ready the next time.

Think dd is going to take dsil to urgent care in a little while. He's still not good and even if he goes back to work tomorrow he should have something to show his (jerky) boss. Guess that leaves dh and me with dgd for the next few hours. At least it won't be as long as ER is.

Found out today that dgd's 'behavior analyst' is coming tomorrow evening. He's suggested to dd that we may need to 'provoke' dgd into some of her behaviors, since she'll probably be on her 'good behavior' with him here. Wonder how that's going to work ;)
