I'm finally up. This is a stressed filled day for me - my last as Sec/Treas of the HOA. NSD (not so dear) builder won't be at the meeting so I'm not sure what can be accomplished.

I need to go to clubhouse and print out agenda and some reports.

I woke last night at 3, sweating and very sick to stomach. I took off covers and and nausea went away but I didn't sleep well after that. Think it was just nerves but it felt like when I had food poisoning. Feel ok now but don't want to eat.

Dr. office finally called (1 week after they said they would) and DH needs to go to downtown Phoenix for tests. Call got me away from my calendar - so I just said I would call them back.

Time for a shower and some toast and getting on with the day. Hope you all have a good one.

OH!! We close on the lot tomorrow at 10!! Then I can go home!!!

Helia - I love hearing those Happy Puppy Dance moments with DChildren. It makes my day to hear how well they are doing!

MT - Hang in there! I see the light at the end of several of your projects. You can do this! (((gentle HUGS to upset stomach)))

Last night was another long night with LO coughing. 3-4am found us sitting in the bathroom breathing steam from hot water shower running. Poor fella - he was so sweet through the whole thing and just wanted to return to sleep. this morning you wouldn't know there is anything bothering him. Happy and full of energy.....and HUNGRY. Maaayyybe he is about over it. hoping so!

DGS14 called early this morning to confirm our plans for this evening. I'm glad he is looking forward to it!

Congratulations MT for selling your lot. That is a huge accomplishment.

And Congratulations Helia for having such smart kiddos. I'm sure that's a reflection on their parents. Thanks for sharing.

(LO) boy this has really hung on...and on...

Everybody stay safe out there. Driving on ice, yikes. Ice is for ice skaters, not cars.

Well, I'm having a lazy morning here, but it is right that little chores done is progress. I am focused on finishing what didn't get done yesterday when I was sick. All the washed laundry has been folded and put away. LOL spinning now (work clothes) and I have cleaned up the kitchen and washed dishes that were left. Mail sorted, nothing to do there today. I think I'll sew a bit.

Sometime today I'll have to go drive DH to pick up a truck and perhaps (or not I don't know yet) help him finish yesterday's job. He was in such bad shape yesterday when he got home, I felt really bad for him. Our customer called to say she loved what he did yesterday, but I got the impression she called just to make sure he made it home ok because he "looked so tired".

I guess he's ok now, he's outside helping neighbor cut up big huge pine tree he cut down. I guess we'll have more logs for our outside pit.

Good morning everyone! I survived Girls Night Out with DD9, which as predicted became Girls Night In. We at at a Chinese restaurant, got her homework done there, and came back to my house to paint dollhouse stuff and watch Hogan's Heroes. Then XDH came to get her and I showed him where all cat stuff is so he can take care of them while I am out of town. After DD left, I packed for the trip this afternoon. I remembered to call XDmil on her birthday. On the way to work I spilled cereal all over the drivers side of the car, bummer. XDH delivered the mortgage settlement check yesterday, so I set up a Fedex delivery to the bank.

This afternoon, I have to deliver the letter to the Fedex place, get lunch, drive 2 hours, get a badge, and check into my B&B.

Congratulations to helia's crew!

Morning girls, well it's still morning here.
Have had a horrendous week, so need to get plugged in and busy, congratulations! Nice mommy moments, still plugging away with schooling and paperwork,

Question: does anyone homeschool?

Hello Dear Ladies,

Congratulation Helia on your scholarly trio!

Been meaning to tell you about the donkey thing of listening to David Copperfield. On the ones I listen to, it wasn't emphasized that much. There is a variety of readers and some are really awesome while others I might have to get the printed version out. Like going around the room reading.

Kathryn thinking of you during your ice storm. When we have those, it gets really bad with power outages. Stay safe.

We are having beautiful weather, almost 70 degrees. Sunshine.

Have finished dailies. This week is a week of not getting weeklies done. Oh well they will be there next week.

Am learning a lesson of doing all the right things and still not getting the right thing back. Has happened twice this week, so is really driving it home to me. Will explain sometime.

Off to more adventures.

Stay strong, Sadie!

Hi, c2c, I think OKay discussed it - don't know that she will herself. LO (little one) is not quite school age yet I don't think. Sorry about the horrendous time - Totally believe the adjective, btw. BTDT.

Hope your travel is safe, Elizabeth!

helia, I have come here to wail that 'my child is struggling', I have come here to brag that 'my child is excelling', and EVERYTHING in between, and I agree that this is a non-judgemental, affirming, safe place BETTER than sharing IRL sometimes because the reaction might not be as ideal. WooHoo in triplicate, btw!!!

HRH also has a nerve-wracking meeting. It's Friday but today and tomorrow are partially prep for it I think. It keeps anyone a little antsy when a spouse is facing a tedius or frustrating time, especially when others are involved and there may be unknown "agendas" in addition to the stated ones.

Well, I am through with doctor's appt, yay. My worry was for nothing - he was completely disinterested in my 3.5 pound loss since I saw him 6 months ago. (I'm just so glad there WAS a loss - I couldn't remember - and the kind nurse bragged on me.) But he was frowning big-time about that mix-up in which I was changed somehow from the surgeon gen prac sent me to see (thyroid) to another person who mentioned surgery. He also recommends the first choice of my gen prac and gave me a prescription slip to take to my gen prac with her name on it to add his own vote that I see her and only her if I ever need a thyroid surgeon visit again. (gee, she must be pretty good) He says surgeons are like hammers. If there's a nail the hammer hits it, and in the same way a surgeon thinks he/she is supposed to operate, but a good surgeon considers all other avenues before cutting. I like having these advocates against incisions into ME without judicious thought! :) I like me the way I am for as long as I can keep me altogether! ;)
