HRH got back tired after a long meeting. I think things went fine, just, as helia said the other day, nerve wracking. This is governmental regulation wrangling, and businesses that have hired HRH to help them meet all the requirements, or get back into good graces, sometimes still try to wriggle out of their responsibilities. So he finds himself in awkward situations, arguing with everybody. He actually asked me for a list of errands because he was still trying to wind down, so he has driven out again. I'm trying to keep things very calm here, and quiet, but his mind is still racing, so he will probably appreciate driving a bit more.

I've remade my ddad's bed after washing all his linens today. He and I went for a 1/3rd mile walk. I fielded a returned DPC.

There was a front page article here about norovirus on the upswing and nursing homes being quarantined.

(((Harriet))) you make us all proud, lady. I think you are doing a wonderful job holding things together. I know I couldn't do it.

We are about 1/2 way home. DH is driving as I need to go to the washroom often. Sorry TMI. But my tummy is the first to feel the stress of the last week.

I am declaring this a dauy of R&R when I get home. I'll take my pillows and meds in but will not unpack the MH till tomorrow..

Nancy, did you guys sign another contract for your house yet?

I am doing the conga in my office. Does that count? I've always just put my chores for the business together with our personal / house chores as it's in the same space and same time a lot. Today I had big job of setting up everything for the year, and backing up everything from last year and the beginning of this one. Some problems, and some research to learn some methods, but all is done and January is logged. A little extra work because we're changing banks. I'll be glad when that part is done.

Harriet, I wonder if HRH has experienced any increase in gov't regulations recently. We have here, in 4 different directions. 2 are just annoying and add expense, 1 area is very worrisome and could put a company out of business, and 1 area has added a lot of work and expense and could result in fines and jail time. None were necessary.

I need to conga in the kitchen. It's a mess.

Good morning, I am back from my boring meetings! The first was cancelled without notice, I could have not stayed the night. That would have been good since XDH is not a good pet sitter, did not touch the catbox and there was no food when I got back. He did get the pill in DCat18 though. I did get unpacked when I got home and prepared for today, but I was tired and went to bed early. Dinner is planned tonight - leftovers from yesterday's dinner out. I have called my financial advisor about the check from the house equity in the divorce settlement, he has some ideas and I have an appointment next Wed. After payroll, I need to get blue felt for Bug-A-Boo's feet, put away things for the maids' visit Wed, and probably a load of laundry. Next week, I will get around to getting visas for the summer's cruise.

I have a child-free weekend and am planning on at least a lunch with a friend Saturday. XDH did not give me much lead time, I found out this morning! Next weekend, I get DD9 the whole weekend (I hope I survive). It's just as well, I was planning on taking her to the zoo tomorrow. Today had snow on the ground and tomorrow is not going to be much warmer. I need to conga through some diagrams at payroll today.

Harmony thanks for asking but to be honest that is sort of a sore subject around here and to answer your question nope we have not discussed it; tabled that topic, and I did not want to even think about that until after the super bowl. It's a good thing as I'm just now getting back in to the swing of my B.W.P. chores this week after that cold I had. I wanted to get the deep freezer defrosted before we did that again, and get the leaves bagged up not sure if that will happen or not and clean out the shop and shed which may or may not happen first. But at least I made some progress the freezer is defrosted!

Did a good quiet time this morning while I was the only one around. [Missed most church in Jan. so I needed it.]

I've had lunch did my exercises this morning swept and mopped upstairs  up next vacuuming. Okay vacuuming is done basement did not need it. I've swept the carport. Back from a couple of errands library books have been returned now & 1st store run done. Bummer there is an air stagnation advisory up until Tues. not far from here.

Got the kitchen mopped before choir and the foyer mopped after. Also vacuumed the stairs to the basement and the living room and family room so the house is looking rather good (except for the bedrooms which need vacuuming and dusting but will only take 30 minutes to do.)

I have food out defrosting for dinner.

Choir was fun. I'll miss it while we are away.

Home from trip to town. We rode along with DH as he hauled the big lawn mower to the shop and then we ate at a favorite BBQ place.

After LO went to sleep I went outdoors and "played" in the garden. Planted another 70 onion sets, pulled turnips and picked greens to go with them. they are on the stove cooking now. it is a beautiful day!

Earlier this week I received some dried sourdough starter from 1847 Oregon trail starter. I have been babying the starter to get it revived all week and was ready to give it a try today. I had sourdough pizza dough being prep'd for lunch but since we ate out the dough remains in sponge form. I put it into the refrigerator and use it to make pizzas tomorrow. My confidence in making sourdough bread is lacking because I haven't went through the process in a long time. However I have memories of making awesome bread so I know it can be done. :) I am going to be tweaking it to make the protein level as high as I can get it so hopefully the carbs will not affect DH BS. Making/baking bread is something i enjoy doing and I'm hopeful I can do it without ruining DH health. :(

Good ConGA Friday afternoon! I keep forgetting this is Friday; it feels like a Saturday to me!

Dh came home yesterday afternoon. I had called my dcousin to tell her about him and she was going to come visit, so I told her to come to the house instead of hosp. They came about an hour after we got home, but only stayed about an hour as they had another stop to make on their way home. Dh decided he wanted to go out for dinner and we had a script to pick up anyway so we went to a small family restaurant close to our house.

I'm caught up on weekly chores now so we're ready for the weekend. I also moved some furniture in a couple of rooms and got the baseboards wiped and carpet swept, wiped little fingerprints off doorways and walls, and gave the fish a bath!

Hope everyone's having a good day. Nice to see MT and Elizabeth home again and all those not feeling well getting better.

Dinner is done and cleaned up. We had homemade shake-N-bake and dh made up a shepherd's pie for tomorrow night's dinner.

I've also updated our Christmas mailing list so that's another paperwork chore done.

We didn't mail the outgoing mail, AGAIN. My travel grant request has to be received by the 15th and I had it ready to go on Monday but we have not had the outgoing mail with us for Tues, Wed, Thursday. Yesterday after we picked up the mail, we came home and put the outgoing mail in the car. But today when we went, the guitar was on top and dh didn't notice it and I forgot. So now we are at the weekend (unlike the US, no mail is collected or delivered on the weekend) so it won't go out now until Monday night. Sigh.....

I am done at payroll. Next I need to pick up some supplies for the stuffed Bug-A-Boo, eat up my leftovers from yesterday, then work some on the house and Bug-A-Boo. I should also do some exercise. Bye everyone!
