Dee: I'm fed up with MedCo. Go get the scripts filled at a local pharmacy because you are out of them. Then sue MedCo in small claims court. Everyone there is lying to you and endangering your health. That is not acceptable.

At work this morning - will look in later during the day, I hope.

Long day yesterday, worked until seven.

Congrats to Harmony for having her return done so early!

I'm with Kathryn, Dee! This utter BS has gone on far too long, and needs to be dealt with by someone who has some clout. I've missed some of this latest go-round with them..have you contacted that supervisor who was so helpful before? Another possibility is to take your concerns public. Do you have a troubleshooter at a local TV or radio station? Sometimes the threat of having their absolute incompetence made public for the world to see is enough to kickstart these idiots to straighten things out. If all else fails, send a registered letter to this fellow:

On to other things.....

Herman and Tabitha were dropped off at the pet store yesterday, and Jiggs was brought home yet again. I'm not sure if she's allergic to something there, or what her problem is, but her eyes were puffy and red. It's not a change in litter - they use a recycled newspaper pellet product, and none of the other kittens that have gone there experienced the same problem, yet Jiggs has had this happen both times she's gone there :( DS suggested putting her at the other pet store the rescue uses, so I'll suggest that to them, and see what they think.

Today has already been changed around a bit. It was supposed to be working at home on various things - housework, laundry, sewing, etc...a trip to the local farmers' market when they open this afternoon (there's a man there who makes lovely cat climbing structures, and he offered me "a great deal" when he found out I foster for rescues), and then a volunteer meeting for SFE (Sustainable Food Edmonton) this evening to work on setting up a new volunteer working group. However......Mum's car wouldn't start yesterday (she had the same problem about two weeks ago), and so she got a boost and took it to the shop. They said she needs a new alternator, the battery has been ruined by the present one, so must also be replaced, and something to do with replacing front/rear control bushings. Altogether? $1100!!!!! :o  This is a financial blow to a senior on a fixed income! Anyways...I'm going to put half the bill on my credit card before I go to pick her up to go get the car this afternoon. I've already spent more than I planned on DD's wedding stuff, but between DH and I, we have 3 - 4 times the income dMum does, and can more easily absorb the the financial strain. I just called them, and I have to make the payment in person..they don't do credit card over the phone, which is fine by me...not the most secure way to do things.

Alrighty...DS is getting his things on to head out the door, and I'm going to get myself moving. There's critters to care for, dishes to do, laundry to deal with, dog bombs in the back yard (the melting snow has exposed a lot of them  ), and I'm hoping to even fit in a bit of sewing before heading out the door later. This will, of course, all happen AFTER I have another cup of coffee and answer a few emails...LOL

- downstairs critter care
- set dishes to soak
- vacuum living room
- water indoor plants
- sew three kittycat pads

((bittersweet's dmum)) ((bittersweet's pocketbook))

Back from dr's appt to discuss MRI results. The most important thing we have is the assurance that no permanent damage has been done and physical therapy will bring range of motion and strength back. He (this is our general practitioner whom dd loves) was really ready for dd, having already reviewed the images on computer and developed her therapy plan himself.

Because bicycling is half the recommended regimen for this injury (grade 2 sprain of the medial collateral ligament), when it is a child the first/best recommendation may their own bicycle rather than a stationary bike at a therapy facility, for better compliance. (In other words, maybe it will be less intimidating.) So she has a regimen of at-home physical therapy for now. She got a lesson in the proper way to extend/not extend her leg when riding for therapy, and a lesson in some other exercises while holding a ball between her knees, and an assignment  to read his new favorite book on the psychology of exercise (becoming a self-starter in your own physical therapy, among other things - this is the Japanese "Kaizen" concept of disciplining yourself to gradual increases). In one month he will reassess.

I am really doctor-office-d out. Sigh. Yesterday with the MRI and the Vet visit shocker, I was so mentally drained. HRH was pretty sick over Orphan Cat, angry with Vet's office because, said he, if he didn't stay angry he would have to admit how sad he was. I took the night off on my own exercise. Not a problem, I needed to break anyway, just realized I was doing it mostly because I couldn't face more responsibility, couldn't get my brain in gear.

Wish I could stay and properly cuops. My thoughts are with you all. I'm heading out the door to class right now. I got 19 verses done, so I think that is probably OK - we'll see. I have my lunch made. I'm going in a little later than usual, so I hope I can find a parking spot in my usual parking garage. Dh wanted to chat with me this morning, so I took 15 minutes to do that. We have been having trouble finding time to talk between his working late evenings, the kids, the things I need to do. . . .

Maybe I'll post later today. I need to get caught up on some things.

Good morning everyone. We are already at the halfway point of the week. Last night, DD9 decided to go back to Chuck E Cheese for Girls Night Out. I got some hand sewing done there, which was good. She used up twice the number of tokens as she usually does, not so good. But she did win a lot of tickets. Afterward, I did some exercise, updated Quicken, and picked up a few things. Today the maids come and I have an appointment with the financial advisor.

This village appeared in one of my dreams last night. Someone had posted "Lots going on in Elizabeth's corner." Maybe I have too much on my plate?

I'm amused that while Americans have a reputation for being litigious, it is the Canadians in the Village telling Dee to take this dispute to the next level!

I'm s2s now. Before doing that, I finished the data entry for one of the investment accounts. Unfortunately, we have 7. Of what is left to do, two will be super easy, two more are the same level of complexity as this one and two will be tricky.

I'm fast running out of time here to get things done. Poof!

Only read back a few posts so far. Glad to read no surgery in sight for Harriet's DD. Bicycling, maybe good therupy for DH's knee here too? I hope so, having been to no doctor about it...

Really tough morning here. Yesterday was horrendous, completely wearing me out with concerns and work and details. Today is no better, worse if one could imagine. Have been working in office with DH. Trying to snag some work with place we haven't work for quite a few years. Very detailed work going on here with paperwork, engineering, ins. requirements, bids, and hoping to not let down sub who wants / needs to snag this work, but it hinges on us being able to put this together.

TMI I'm sorry. But this stuff is consuming my life these days. Thinking of Sadie's DH trying to get work also....

Between DH's phone calls, I'm working with him but keeping busy so I don't go crazy. 2 LOL done, 1 to hang out still. Broke down CPA's taxes which means putting copies in files, just lots of sorting, etc., so that's done and i cleaned my desk along with this process. Maybe that will clear the cobwebs in my brain, my thinking is muddled with all I'm trying to do.

Be back sometime when I can cuop.
