Hello Ladies,

I'm opening without cuoping.

What can you do to bring a little quiet reflection into your day today? I have been reflecting on our office relocation that will be happening soon. Reflecting on the best course of action to get to the new offices.

Skippable:
If I use the Gautrain, it will cost me an extra R1200 per month (that is R60p/day or R300p/week) to use this train. Since we don't really have reliable buses from where I live to the new area, this would be my only option of getting to work. So, now a re-work of my monthly budget to add in this extra cost is required.

I'm feeling bad/weird this morning and not sure where the day is heading. Woke up with a weird/bad dream that ended with not being able to breath. I'm also feeling a major headache and the ddogs ended up in the garage last night because Macs kept waking me up. I'm hoping it's that I've been out of my BHRT meds for several days and I'll pick them up at 9 a.m. when the drugstore opens and then head on to work. Also feeling almost weepy ill.

I'm going to head back to bed for an hour, then get ready for work and run into the drugstore at 9 a.m.

Quiet reflection. * sigh * Usually it seems my day has very little time for quiet reflection. But I know that's my fault. I could be reflecting more instead of staring at computer screen... or tv screen... or newspaper suduko... you get the picture, LOL.

Yes, Harriet, I do have my sewing machine out all the time. We don't use our dining room table for eating at so it might as well serve some purpose other than clutter collecting. My cutting mat, quilting rulers, and machine are always there and available for use (although I usually have to do some decluttering to actually have room!

I've been up for an hour now, and have done not much of anything except check email and putter on the internet. Time to go deal with the litterboxes and other delights, and then get ready to head into payroll!

Want to thank Kally for her suggestion last evening. I spent way too much time looking at shoes on the internet. DD2 ran into a store while I was moaning to her about my dilema and she found something, emailed me a picture, found them in stock at a store a little ride away from he kids' school and she is going to pick them up and mail to me. I told her not to, as that is too much fuss over this, but she's a sweetie and will probably do it. I only hope they fit, and that is the "rub" no pun intended. But the picture looks perfect ...so crossing fingers here...

Off to get something besides nonsense on the computer done today!

What a difference it makes if you have company. The dishes are done and footsteps erased every day. I'll be sorry to see them go this afternoon.

The weather here has turned - from almost 80's to 60's and wind. But we are snug in our house. We keep looking at each other and saying, "I love my house!!"

Good morning! I had so much trouble getting up this morning and I went to bed at a reasonable time. Last night was Girls' Night Out with DD10, so I did not get much done other than the usual nightly routines. However, I did clean out my sewing bag that I use for portable projects. I finished a crocheted blanket square and worked on an American Girl doll dress. I hurt my back somehow, but it is getting better already. I also remembered to bring in my lunch for today.

LisaB, have you discussed with management there that this move makes a financial hardship for you? This will effectively be a cut in pay because of their decision to move your workplace. Or, another way of thinking about it, you will be taking on a new financial burden in order to stay on with them. Even if they would do nothing about it, I'd hope they would be aware of it and bear it in mind.

Wow, Lynlee, what a shock for your dmother's community. I hope the weather calms down for your country as well as ours.

Twins Mom, I wouldn't be surprised if you sleep much better with the BHRT meds.

Interrupted by the alarm at my ddad's - called ds26 to make sure someone knew, but he's at work. So I went out to just check FROM the car, promising to call him right back, and it had been the Jehovah's Witness again. I don't know why in the world they enter that porch, but they do. No other person has ever tripped the alarm - only the paper of the bill when the propane guy closed the screen door on it to hold it and the sensor "saw" the paper, and he doesn't do that any more per our request. it's a little nerve-rattling to disarm and arm again, to be worried that my ddad will realize something is going on - realize that I have left the house, even. (I had to go out the rear door and hope he didn't see my car leave.)

While I was out and feeling more at ease, a town policeman came by looking for an address number I didn't recognize. But I notice he pulled in to a neighbor's house (not dvetneighbor) and stayed. I hope everything is all right. That is a too-impressive home - certainly the fanciest on our country road - and it has been robbed before. I remember my dmother
Sorry, interruptions again, forgetting where I was in my post made the above disjointed. I was just going to say I remember my mother saying don't make your mailbox impressive, or you will get crooks thinking about robbing your house. It is true that this particular neighboring house has a gorgeous brick mailbox facade with lovely plantings, and happens to have been robbed more than any house I know of around here. My mother always looked suspiciously at all extended family mailboxes and suggested ways to make them less expensive looking! When crazy teens once drove along and hit everyone's mailbox with a baseball bat, she was fine with it, and said as long as hers still closed it didn't bother her a bit that it was dented!!! When we would use a weed-eater to trim around ours, she would say, "Don't do too good a job!".

All this and the President is coming to the county where HRH grew up, because of expansion of a semi-truck manufacturing plant there. (The plant's corporate big-wigs actually wanted to send all the jobs overseas, btw, but their customers - interestingly, Coca-Cola among them - threatened to pull their business if it happened, so really, the employees do deserve to take this bow today, but their big bosses are kinda embarrassed, lol.) So my dear aunt called to talk and talk about that, saying it isn't such a distance from us, "as the crow flies", just "over the river". I'm sure it will be quite an event for the folks who work there, and I'm happy she's excited, too, but the truth is it's really quite a distance from us. The bird who made that flight would need a lot of stamina!
