Harriet, Please look up the number for the Kingdom Hall in your area, if there is no answer there is usually an alternative. List your Ddad's address and tell them to make it a "DO NOT CALL". If you want to mention their calling is causing major problems, you can, you don't have to go into details or even give your name.

About once a year you might have to call and remind them, but they shouldn't bother otherwise. They have maps of areas and mark them if you don't want them calling there. Once a year they might try to call to see if you are still a do not call but if you call first it should keep them away.

Lunch is taken care of, but dinner plans have had to change. Normally, Wednesday is a good day to eat at church, but they are having baked ziti, which is full of cheese that I can't eat. Maybe cereal again. My office has finally warmed up a bit, it was 67 earlier, brrrr. I forgot to take my meds at lunch, so tea is brewing so I can do so. Not sure what to do tonight. I guess I could always work on the bathtub. Maybe some sewing on Bug-A-Boo. Nothing appeals, but moping is not a good option. I hate being alone at night.

Solved tonight's problem of being alone. I am going to eat with a friend at her house. We will probably play scrabble or some other game.

It is past midnight and now Thursday for me. I should be in bed but I wanted to share this experience with you.

We just sailed through the straits of Gibraltar. The sea is calm, it was windy on the observation deck (60 kph) and we are under a full moon.

The narrowest point of the strait was dramatic in the moonlight.

The Rock was also dramatic, illuminated by the moon, looming high above the lights of the town.

It was interest to sail through the Pillars of Hercules, being able to see them clearly.

My gps and MS Streets and Trips didn't let me down, providing us with both location and identification of the lights we were seeing on the shores.

It was a magical experience. I'll pay for this later today (we have an 8 hour tour that starts in 8 hours) but for now, my seafaring blood is pumping and I'm thrilled.

Kathryn, that sounds wonderful. Since it was night, were you able to get any pictures?

(Elizabeth) I'm happy for you that you have company tonight.

Some progress made around here. Watered all the foundation plants and veg. garden. Weeded the front garden bed. Helped DH unload a truck. Dinner and dishes are done. Mail sorted. Rest of laundry folded and put away.

I'm gong back to my sewing.

Not much change around here. Nothing worse... maybe better... dfil didn't get the tube in this morning, probably tomorrow.

Oh -- and the baby is declared to definitely be a boy. Week 24, I believe.

I had a good day my walk was good, got some reading done in two books both are small so I'm reading some in each of them. Dinner is done. No granny duty today.

It's been a hard day for my ddad and he still can't rest, several hours after even his latest usual bedtime. He is having bad dreams. I hope he can finally get some quality rest soon, but he's drinking water now, which, although it could be good in general, doesn't bode well for sleep at this hour.

With both dd and HRH home after 4:30 pm, I was finally able to S2S. We ate haphazardly for supper, because HRH had a recipe he'd been looking forward to, then suddenly didn't feel well and put it off. I hope we can have a better day tomorrow. HRH will be at least a half-hour away most of the day.

Sadie, you remind me we have done that before, but I would definitely say it was more than one, probably more than 2 years ago the last time. For some reason, they are respecting the request on my address, but not on my parents'.

Kathryn, that sounds like the perfect conditions for a dramatic view of Gibraltar and the Pillars. It's good the moon wasn't overcast but gave you some clarity. You're right to change your schedule if needed to enjoy the moments through the straits.

Winding down after a long day. Erased a lot of footprints, remembered to gather up & put out all the recycling, & worked on & off in the office throughout the afternoon & evening. Feeling satisfied with the progress in there so far, & I thanked dh for putting up with the mess I've been making. We share an office, & if his stuff was all over the room the way mine has been lately I would probably be bugging him to clean it up.

Praying that OKay hears some good news soon.

Hope all is well with Indi; I don't remember seeing a post from her in several days. Or Lilac & some others, too.

((Harriet)), I hope your ddad has a long & restful sleep tonight & a better day tomorrow. Do you think a No Trespassing sign near the entrance to his house would help?

Dove, that's what they say -- definitely a boy. I still can't quite believe it! LOL.... I think I have just been a little bit in shock ever since ds called that afternoon, asking in such a mysterious tone if we were both going to be home (when they came to share the news.)
But the doctor says he looks good, good size, everything appears to be right on track.
