Thanks HarrietWe are back I can't tell any one has been here no card but it is nice to have it cleaned up all at once! We talked of plans for the rest of the day over lunch. I did some brief errands. I've been reading a book on sheep farming! LOL! The Shack a novel before that this week. Tried to focus on things I missed for the Tues. Realor's tour.
Finds included; yarn in various colors for puppet making project this is fun b/c they are colors I did not have yea! Got a new to me skirt for church and mirror so cleaned it and hung it up. A stuffed bunny.
Got a bag of jelly beans for part of grand kids Easter and few other things at the store that I forgot the other day.
Weather is nice so I need to head out and do some leaf raking. H. said he will help me when he's back home we took separate rigs today it was a nice change for me to get to drive. I need to spiff the car it needs that still.

Elizabeth, when I broke my wrist and had my arm in a cast, it was awkward, but I managed. I could still do things. This was my left hand, and I think I could have still been able to write, but it depends on how the cast is formed. Hardest thing was showers, I found bathtub easier. I hope they caught the man in school and he did no damage to anything / anyone.
I think our bobcat got our quail, have not seen any for a while.
Still cleaning. Bedroom is done, every square inch. No focus needed in there for a long while. Hand washed, laid out, shaped a bulky sweater. Worked on spots on a shirt and have that outside drying. Ironed a shirt, a nightgown, an apron. Working on kitchen next.
Jake and I took a walk early this morning. We sat at the pond. No crane yet. The mallards are in their territorial phase. The woodpeckers were busy. Last night the owl was busy. The hawk was looking for food early this morning. In the morning I hear a bird but don't see it. I have heard the song before but can't come up with the name.
The best is watching a black cat stalk the mallards. I'm not sure how it thinks it will get them. The banks are very steep and covered with tall grasses and the ducks stay on the pond. It is fun to watch.
Harmony I'm reading Heaven is For Real. It is an account of a 3-year-old boy's going to heaven and meeting Jesus during surgery. It is delightful. I'm also reading Thomas Fairchild - my 9th great grandfather who founded Stratford, Connecticut in 1610.
Thank you, Indiana! I enjoyed your description of the birds around the pond. I have a pair of house finches looking at the downspout under the eave of my house as a potential nest spot. Birds have nested there in the past & made quite a mess. I'm being mean and encouraging them to find a better (for me) spot.
I need a "do-over" today. I've just been so tired the last few days, maybe it's a bug of some sort. Tomorrow is another day as they say.
We are having gorgeous weather, maybe if I went for a walk I would feel better. Can't wait until it is warm enough to open some windows.
Harriet, I was thinking the other day that I hadn't heard a quail in forever - I do recall now and then hearing one as child and young adult, especially when we were camping. Yes, may also be coyotes and their shrinking habitat.
I also loved hearing Indiana's description of the pond this morning, and I'm hoping that Elizabeth's dd doesn't have a bad break. Will complicate your week for sure, next week, Elizabeth.
I'm home from work early - actually to the point that I need work now. I have a tax return to work on tomorrow and hopefully some stuff will come in on Monday. I looked at everyone's inventory and we're all a little light on work right now. I suspect it means that much more work later.
Dh was going on to temple tonight, I'm kind of lovin' being home alone.

Fantastic weather here today. The neighbors were gone and their dogs were really awful to me while I was trying to do some yard work along the fence line, one was charging the fence and barring his teeth and overly aggressive the other neighbors came out to see what the ruckus was and were bothered by these dogs barking as well. When the owners came home I told them what had been going on so they put them right inside. Too bad his dad is not well in the hosp. end of life stuff. ~sigh~ but the dogs were disruptive and if the grand kids were out it scares them too.
Hubby had tire probs. so was not here in time to be much help but listened to me and liked the progress I'd made. Said he would grill dinner tonight for us here.
I was happy to get as much yard work done as I did I worked until I ran out of steam the 2nd time and came in. Leaves have been picked up by the patio and west fence, just two more beds
to clear out and one to trim weed in.
Came in to catch Dr. Oz some of the segment on labeling interesting but not really new to me.
I am loving reading today.
Have enjoyed my trip with Kathryn and Ken. You write an amazing travel log. I see medieval bits on tour de france footage and I am drawn to it too.
OKay - love your first post today. I have tried to keep clear of being sucked into soaps. Also to the cops and murderer, pathology and hospital shows.
ATM - this year I'm watching "my kitchen rules". Couples cooking vieing to outdo each other, and wow the judges. The judges are nice - not crazy/nasty - that helps. I've surprised myself by enjoying it. Diverse characters. interesting pairs. This week major talk them self up pair were left seriously short of time unable to plate what they could have done well. Interestingly they took their loss - out of the show - well.
Books - I'm trying to get gentler books out of library to read.
Indiana - nice to read your post. The pond sounds nice. Glad you and Jake can get out and go sit a while.
Elizabeth - prayers for dd's healing. Ouch and hugs for your dd. Realise that constant entertainment isn't a parents role. Maybe ask her if there is a few things she would like to bring with her ? The first few days are usually the worst. Hope between you and X you can cover whatever her needs are atm.
my dd had a broken wrist that age - and had school camp so was sidelined for many things. And dgd9 needed surgery on her break just before beginning of summer holidays so that was a blow to her normal activities too. 3 mths later - I must see if she is back allowed to do "things" yet. (like ride bike, go to circus class) When the cast came off and the doc stil banned many activities she looked at her mum and said "SEE - I told you!" lol. my other dd at 11 broke her arm at shoulder (falling of back of couch) which took an age to heal as it was never splinted - well beyond a plaster weight on elbow initially to drag the bone out of the ball joint it had poked itself into. I think dgs was 9 when he smashed his elbow falling on one of those ride on things - nor a skateboard. (?rip-stick?) Hugs to all kids having misadventures. May they live to not repeat them or do worse.
I need to move. yesterday I found out I can get my car fixed (carpark bingle) next week - and I still need go back to the scene to note any signage etc for an official form. also need draw a mudmap. then ring and tell ins co its on its way. So I want to do that this afternoon - which is now.
washing is probably dry so I'll bring that in first. I need unfuzz my brain too.
Also to do this w/e - cleanout , vac , and wash car. I dont think theres a lot in it beyond what needs vacuuming.
