Tuesday -can we continue our thoughts on awareness of time?
I'm running late and have to go. Have a meeting in 31 minutes -takes me 22-25 to get there. DD and gd are still in bed. DH went to Anna Maria Island with his DB to look at a job at a dr's "mansion" this morning. Can't believe my dbil is still doing this kind of work at 78.
GD's therapist and behavior analyst were both here yesterday. Analyst has them "IGNORING" everything she does or says. Somehow I doubt that's going to work.
I am excited to be going to see my old 'best friend' and maid-of-honor tomorrow! Discovered yesterday through the internet that she's only 27.7 miles from DD's. Maybe we can make this a once-a-month occasion!
Harriet, if you post first, please feel free to cut and paste. See you all later.......>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I'm making tracks!
Need to be aware of time here, too. As I work, I "charge" for my time, which is charged to client. Yesterday I was pretty unproductive, leading to me not being able to charge all the time I was here in this chair. (Could have charged it to "unclassified" nonchargeable, but I really shouldn't have much of that this time of year, except for working with guy I'm "mentoring" and taking care of tax software questions where I'm the designated "expert.") I also spent a little time online looking for accountant gag gifts for our "Nine months to Christmas" party later this month.

Dee, I had no intelligent thoughts at that moment, and you did fine!
Hey, a "tweet" from Leonard Nimoy - not to me but I read about it this a.m.
“Spock on Big Bang Theory on 3/29. Stephen Hawking the following week. Logical.”
It made me think of Lilac's phone call in the last minutes of her fav race driver Tony Stewart's win the other day, so perhaps I should be proactive! I may take my phone off the hook at 7:55 the night of March 29th. LOL. Nobody's going to be buying anything big from me anyway, so I won't have Lilac's responsibility! I've already emailed the children.
HRH is showering and we will be taking my ddad to bloodwork together, then PO drop off of charity gift then grocery for a few things and home.
Ah, I have no intelligent thoughts at the moment, either.
Dinner started in the crockpot.
Looked at stuff on my desk. I need to write a few checks.
Speaking of time, I did sleep in almost an hour past when I get up, and I think that's because of the time change. I was deep, deep in sleep that last hour, not even hearing the racket DH makes when he's around here. I guess I needed it.
Beautiful beautiful day here. Nice, but we need grey and rainy.

I have a dilemma here, spring break is next week for 2 DGSons and they want to come down, also bringing other 2 DGSons while mother and last DGSon go off on jr. high spring trip for a few days. Fine except end of that week is nephew's wedding and I still don't know if anyone is staying. These are the people who have all called DSiL and DNeice asking if they can stay with them....but she's full up with people and said no. wouldn't you think people would let you know if they're planning on bunking here? We're talking about 7 people (2 families) coming for wedding, and 5 kids and 1 adult wanting to spend a few days of spring break here.... DH is so disgusted with whole thing with his family he doesn't want to call them and ask - are you staying with us... so I'm in the proverbial space with rock and hard spot. He says, "first come, first served" but I have visions of people standing on the porch with suitcases...ah, no room in the Inn kinda thing....
I hit the road early this morning taking new-to-us puppy to the vet for his surgery today. They had questions how they should proceed because it seems he is missing one of his....uhmmmm...parts. They wanted to know if I authorized exploratory surgery to find it. How do I know what is best??? I told them to do what they would do if it was their dog. Poor puppy. today isn't going to be a good day for him no matter what decision is made on finding missing parts.
I need to turn my attention to getting us ready and out the door for DH DAunt family gathering and funeral. It will be many hours of socializing. Good thing we all get along.
DH and I will drive separately all day because after the grave service we need to go opposite directions. He has a not-for-profit board meeting and LO and I will pick up Buddy (dog) from vet.
I'm not looking forward to the funeral drive from church to gravesite. It is about 40 miles on the Interstate. We did a similar drive for other DAunt and it was crazy! The traffic was backed up for miles behind us. 99.9% of the traffic was respectful of the funeral procession but there was a couple of cars that ignored it and just weaved in/out of all the cars until they reached the head of the line where the police car was leading with lights on.
Endless questions/answers are the norm for us........LO just pointed to his big toe joint and asked "What's this?" Why do I need it? What does it do? It cracks me up how the simplest of things are questioned and explored until they are explained and understood.
Good morning! I am on day 2 of spring break and so far have survived. I got DD up and out of the house and me to work. What with the time change and having to get DD10 where she needs to be, I am sleepy. Yesterday, I made crockpot chicken and DD did not like it, calling it overcooked. So I had to make a run to the grocery store to get something for the rest of the week. I can eat the chicken for lunch at work. We got two movies at the grocery store. Today is Girls' Night Out, so I know what is for dinner (Chinese), but don't know if we will be doing Chuck E Cheese. It depends on DD's wrist and whether she can do any of the games at CEC. Her arm is feeling better. I forgot her tylenol this morning, I hope she does not need it. Tomorrow the maids are coming. I should get back to flowcharts.
The weather sucks here today wind warnings out for high profile rigs and it's raining pretty hard out this morning. I'm up on time yea! Got trash is out to the curb. Coffee is done. Had my granola bar bs was good today. Dogs next door are not out in the weather so it's quite one good thing about the day any way! I may have to walk or ride ex. bike indoors for my work out. Got laundry up from the basement needs folded. I am grateful to be adjusted to the time change now! Granny duty after while a store run is on tap for us as well. So we said we could pick dgd up from preschool.
What is the movie hunger games about anorexia or vampires or both?
I so wanted to go to a meeting at our church last night but just could not get it together. Dgd was here a bit later than anticipated, then dinner, walk and I was out of steam it was cold and dark out by then. I got the laundry finished and paid attn. to hot spots so my time was well spent at home. Maybe I can get there to the next one in two weeks.
Wind has quieted down outside hoping it stays that way. There is snow on top of the hill now.
Yesterday I took the stuff out of the play house that was on the floor and swept it out. Found a play plastic tea cup for dgd to use & brought it in cleaned it up.
Went to the county appraisers office. I had taken our appraisal on this house. She called awhile ago and there is a discrepancy. The county has the house listed as bigger than it is. She wants to come and measure. I also think that she wants to see for herself that there is no basement below the kitchen, therefore the upper floor and basement have different sq. footage. Problem being the mess where she needs to look. I always do dishes at night but didn't last night. Those need to be done before I can work on the basement.
Nancy, I can give you my minimal knowledge. Hunger Games is a teen novel that later ended up becoming a trilogy. It is about a world in which some young people, called "tributes", are singled out and groomed to become fighters and fight to the death (one on one, not armies). There is supposed to be some higher, nobler purpose in their fights but in the course of the book some learn that it is not noble and their society is flawed.
As far as a review, this is what my dd32 emailed when I asked her about dd13 reading it.
"The Hunger Games trilogy is great. It is like the last three books in the Harry Potter series...a bit dark and people die a lot. I think she will be fine with it. My main issue is that the books are on that Accelerated Reader program, but the level AR gives them is targeted for younger kids, for whom the books are not appropriate."
Btw, I checked out the level after reading this from dd32, and found out it's low enough dd13 may not even be allowed to use the book toward her reading, and she really can't afford to give it time if it won't count, because she's swamped with homework as it is.
We got back from taking my ddad for bloodwork and from the grocery and I immediately left again for appt with our family dr. I hadn't mentioned it here, but I've been hearing that extra breathing in my chest again. Turns out I am back on 2 inhalers again. He waves at the window when I ask him why this is happening, and says he believes 90 percent probability just allergies. I ask why at this time in my life because I used to not cough up a thing (TMI, I know) and he says he literally believes there "is more out there now" (waving again at window) because the list of patients he has in similar situations is growing, regardless of age. He says he has 11 patients now who must get daily email advisories about upcoming changes in pollen count so that they can be proactive if necessary.
Poor HRH continued staying here with ddad so I could go, and ddad decided this was the time to demand his toenails be cut. HRH had never done the chore before - I always do it. He says I owe him bigtime. Yes, I do. It is a formidable task!
Waiting for dh and dd to return from the auto sales place (2 cars in for oil changes). Then I guess we're going to a park at Disney for a few hours. I've been rather in the dumps today so maybe it'll perk me up a bit.
Had a nice time at women's meeting at church this morning. First I've gone down here. Last night's church council meeting (from up north) went fairly well. Dpastor and I used our cell phones on speaker phone for the 50-minute meeting. Worked fairly well. Internet here is so spotty that I can't use S kype in confidence.
Day 2 of Spring Break (here) -only 3 more to go and then the weekend. Tomorrow we'll go see dfriend about 30 miles from here. Haven't decided whether to go with dd to Parrish for euchre tournament on Saturday. Perhaps dh and I will go northward and try to see a few friends and my db & dsil. Haven't managed to get up there all winter. Seems like the days fly by -especially since we go to pick gd most days.
