Good morning and Happy Pi Day! Also happy day 3 of spring break. Girls Night Out was different. DD10 did not want Chinese! Apparently soup is hard to eat with her left hand. Also, no chuck e cheese because the games require two hands. Instead she invited a friend over and I fixed them (and me) pork chops, corn, and rice. I had to do laundry so DD would have short sleeved shirts that will go over her cast, but the washer kept her awake. I did remember to set a check out for the maids who are coming today. I have my first board meeting for the animal organization tonight, so DD will be at XDH's house for that. I hope it does not run too late, I have to pick up DD and take her to my house and I don't want her staying up too late. Also, when I take a shower in the guest bath, it keeps her awake. (I can't use my bath because I have not finished the resealing project). I need to update Quicken, but that won't happen until DD is gone.

Harriet, I hear you on the "endless errands". Today is my errand day, but I'm not counting on being able to stay home the rest of the week. Something always comes up that can't be postponed, it seems. (((dd))) Hope she feels better soon.

Harriet....my headphone system is called the unisar TV777 Listener system. I bought it about 3 years ago. The headphones have an on/off switch on it, and I use my remote to control the tv. If I want to watch/listen to the tv without bothering Sweetie, I switch the tv remote to "mute" and the sound only comes through the headphones. If I don't then the sound comes through both systems.

this morning has been........uhmmmmmmm....interesting. I got Buddy home without mishap in the car, but he is one pitiable looking dog. He ended up having major surgery. He has to wear the huge e-collar for the next 2 weeks. The vet office told me several times how important it is to not take it off him. And to keep him quiet. That has been a challenge with a 3 year old who wants to love on him and our other dog wanting to show him who is king of our place. Throw in 3 phone calls from DMom who is emotionally struggling (today is DBrother-who=recently-died birthday) and i want to think about someone else life instead of mine this morning.

Did you know that this SHE group is my "Calgon moment"? When i am at my wits end (like now), I can come here to CUOP and relax. Ahhhhhh - simply wonderful!

I'm interested in wireless TV sound device also. Thinking....pondering.... I remember seeing MT's speaker system which moved the TV sound next to chair (instead of coming from TV across the room). I am leaning toward that instead of people having to wearing headphones. I'm not looking for absolute quiet like headset, but would like an option to project the sound for a particular area.

MT - thank you for the Angel on board book recommendation! I started reading it last night and am enjoying it immensely!

Poor (((Buddy))). Hope he gets along ok. My sympathies on the loss of your DBrother. Hugs to your family as you remember. I lost two brothers within 6 wks in 2008. It gets easier, but the special days are still hard, and always will be, I think. Their absence leaves a void that nothing/no one can fill. Bless you for "being there" for your DMom.

I am swing a pick ax and playing in the dirt. Whewwww this is hard work.

I know about those dog collars OKay...been through it a number of times with my Sadie TWD (the wonder dog) and Willis. Just how are you suppose to keep a wiggly high energy dog still??? After bumping into many walls and furniture, Willis finally learned to navigate the house with his on. Took him a few days and the same with Sadie.

Then I had to do followup on several things for the council meeting tomorrow. Jake's trainer was here.

I ate lunch with XDH and DD10. It was SLOOOW. XDH is going to take DD tonight for the board meeting. This is good in case it runs late. We are not sure how the transfer of DD back to me will go tomorrrow, but we will figure it out. I am still doing massive flowcharts. This one is running 45 pages so far and has at least 17 more to go, probably more.

We've been watching the squirrels on the deck next to the window trying to get nuts out of a can.

I've done my ex. for today 5 mi. on the ex. bike. The rain the fell in the night was frozen when I got up today. I could not see the hill and I think it was snowing in the near by mtns. east of us today to cold for walking w dgd. Speaking of ~ Dgd is here enjoying some of her fav. toons, then story time & now down for nap on time for a change! Yea she will be up for when parents pick her up.

H. got a call about new jobs that are up to apply for the new techonology is a great thing if you can negotiate around all the dang ads! This is great I do not have to say a word he's is getting nagged by others to apply!

Today I thought of going to the church to help with clothing exchange free clothing on Sat. but dgd is here so that's fine.

Yesterday I wore a winter coat and today no coat. It is 80 out.

Yes I agree this is a great place to come for hugs, motivation and support.

I'm currently working on eating. I sent 22 pounds packing. Don't know where it went but I'm not carrying it. None of the 22 pounds is water weight. I was going to wait until it was 25 pounds but thankfully I have slowed down. I don't want to get rid of only 2 pounds a month.

I find I'm eating differently and healthy for me.
