Ides of March Thursday
A little humour to start your day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR_5h8CzRcI
I have NO idea why I'm up so flippin' early today. Yes, I went to bed at a reasonable time, and yes the bed was crowded with critters, but I actually feel somewhat rested! Since it's my late day, I've got time to squeeze in a quick nap if I need to.
I'm off to find some coffee!

I need to get in the shower and get ready to head out. My track record of getting to work close to 8:30 has fallen by the wayside this week, not surprisingly.

Alrighty...time to get some things done around here! I've fed the cats, had a cup of coffee, finished filling in info for the seed donation spreadsheet, and researched the price of a new coffeemaker. Our current one (about 2.5 years old) seems to have developed a leak *sigh* I seem to be hard on coffeemakers.....within a couple of years, they always seem to either develop a leak or the power switch dies.
DS is already up, and has put on fresh coffee. However...in the interests of being productive, I need to get a round done before I can have any.
- fold basket of clean laundry
- downstairs critter care
- upstairs critter care
- put away clean laundry

Re: Ides of March Thursday
My goodness, the village is quiet this morning!! I've gotten that last round done, and am having another cup of coffee while deciding what to do next. Part of me is clamoring for a nap, and part of me is wanting to do some sewing. DS has headed off to work, and I'm hearing sounds that may indicate DH is getting up - he has a doctor's appointment this morning.
I'd better find myself something to do here, or I'll find myself sitting, wasting time, and probably dozing off *sigh*. Off to set the dishes soaking and do a bit of sewing!

Mornin'! Et Tu Brute! Funny video, Romans with New York accents. Brings back boring memories of Latin Class in HS.
I'm up like a flash this am, got morning chores and dailies all done. Waiting for audit gal to call, having my last insurance audit for 2011 today. Late this year, she cancelled last month. Paid particular attention to the kitchen where we'll be working at the table. It looks nice in there even with stack of papers.
I guess I'll have to stay around the house today and wait for her call. Glad to have this done cause now I can file away a big stack of papers.
Our coffeemakers don't last very long either. We got one at thrift store just for the glass pot which was same size as one we dropped...then when the base unit went bad we pulled that out and started using it. We're on our 3rd set in 4 years.
I'm going to be sewing a bit too until my auditor comes.

Re: Ides of March Thursday
Yes, it is the "Ides of March" -had forgotten that. March 15th holds much better vibes for me -it's 'birthing day' of dd -our first born. She's off with dh to go walking. They let 'sleeping girls' lie. GD isn't up yet and it's nearly 10am!! Okay with me. I see dd didn't leave her meds for morning either so that could be interesting by the time they get back home. But, I'm staying in here and working on our taxes anyway.
Spent some time this morning trying to get a refund for the airline tickets I had bought in July. Credit card company has instituted a 'bill inquiry' and the $338 should be redeposited to our account -we'll see how this goes. As I understand it the airline had to hold so much in 'escrow funds' and once it's gone -it's gone. Did get dh a new one-way ticket a day earlier. Feel fortunate to have done that since it's just before Easter and the amount of people who will be headed north. Know this particular airline (Direct Air) had a LOT of Canadian residents flying into Niagara Falls or Plattsburgh, NY. I can just imagine all these people scrambling for tickets and asking for refunds at this point.
My job -should I choose to take it- for this morning is to try to get our taxes done. AND I guess I have to take it at this point so I can get things sent up home.
Visit with dfriend went very well yesterday. She's less than 1 hour from us -probably about 45 minutes. So there's no excuse not to see her once in a while. Tried to go visit my db/dsil this Saturday but that won't work. DB is a retiree from Kodak (same as dh except dh's dept was bought out about 6 years ago). Kodak is dropping health insurance for retirees and they're scrambling trying to get things done before then.

Re: Ides of March Thursday
Within 10 seconds, dh recognized the Wayne and Shuster skit from just the audio. It is one of their classics.
Dh is on the phone right now with the hotel and they will mail me my pillow. Yay!
I've put all the plants back where they belong and watered them. That took 30 minutes. I have too many plants! Most did fairly well and my orchids are still in bloom. They tend to go into hibernation when we are away because the house is so cold so that extends the blooming period - they were just starting to bloom when we left. The Christ cactus is also in bloom but has lots of buds and my violets are almost always blooming so there's lots of purple, pink and white on display right now.
I'm having my tea and chocolate.
My weight is up 9 pounds so there's a reason these jeans fit so poorly. I can't explain why the too-tight summer pants never gave me an indication of my weight gain, though. My travel skirt sure did, though. I'm hoping 4 pounds of this weight gain is the travel dehydration/salt plus my TOM is due this weekend. Of course, that's nothing one can set one's calendar by these days.
The first load of laundry just buzzed. I think I have 6 to do. Dh says the fan I put in the storage room is doing a great job drying up the water on the floor and there is no clue as to where the water came from. That's not actually good news, I'd rather have an idea of where it came from so I can work on fixing the problem.

Re: Ides of March Thursday
I have enjoyed cruising with Kathryn for the past several weeks, however I am REALLY GLAD she is now back home and posting again.
Received phone call from Spr*int last night confirming the early termination fee being waved. They recently lost their contract for cell towers in our state so we had no choice but to choose a different carrier. I think everything is now set up with new carrier and phones with exception of DH and my address book being populated. I need to research if there is a way to sync google contacts and at&t address book.
Tuesday was microsoft monthly update release. There are 9 updates for Windows 7 operating system this month. I haven't checked on the other OS updates yet. Main laptop done.....need to start the updates on other devices.

bsweet I never understood the ides of March I guess I should learn about it.
It is another beautiful day once again. We went from winter to summer. But I like spring - I would have enjoyed a few weeks of spring.
I was wrong on the ducks she hasn't laid eggs yet.
OKay I love seeing your cards accomplished.
I'm sure you will be happy when you audit is finished Harmony. But then it does give you time to sew while waiting.
Dee it is a good things you hopped on the ticket refund right away.
Glad to see you pillow is on its way home Kathryn.
I was doing updates last night OKay.
