Dh has started his US visa application process so I'm busy rounding up corporate documentation he needs. The actual application form has such useful questions such as whether or not one has procured the services of a prostitute (in the past ten years) or if one is coming to the US in order to undertake terrorist activities. It seems to me people that are doing that don't apply for a visa!

I'm not being productive today. Must change that, ds will be here in about an hour and all chance at productivity will end then.

Edited to add: All of the stuff dh needs has been printed off and is collated and sitting on the table for him to add to the 100+ page application.

I've also written and sent a biography of myself for the housing board. They are doing a grant application and needed it.

Thinking about the crazy government questions asked and wonder about the validation of the answers.

Buddy is doing better. He has had a really rough 4 days since surgery. He is starting to wag his tail now but is using a female position to use the bathroom (IYKWIM) so i know he is still extremely tender/sore. He slept through the night last night without any problems and is doing much better during the daylight hours than he did yesterday. 4 days down.....10 more days of wearing that ecollar he hates so much. :) I guess we will find out just how tough it is - he repeatedly drags it on rough surfaces on purpose trying to scrap it off.

What could they possibly be doing to our riding mower?? We took it to be serviced SIX weeks ago and it isn't ready yet. We have mowed all winter but are now in super growing season. Spring mowing using a push mower is better than any exercise I've done recently. Yesterday I mowed about 3 hours with some of the grass being a foot tall. I kept having to stop and clean out the mower because it gets plugged up easily when mowing thick/wet grass (uhmmmm.... weeds!). I also kept having to stop and care for LO. I also kept having to stop and check on Buddy. There were many many stop/starting while mowing but it was still an intense workout!.

back to mowing. Hope to finish it up before the predicted multi-day rain start tonight

Good night everyone. I am headed home from payroll. I have gotten a fair amount done. I hope DD10 wants Chinese, because otherwise, I don't know what to feed her. See you Monday.

Dee, our ins sent a letter saying they no longer have MedCo (I only used it for thyroid pills anyway). They have switched to "Prime". Who knows.
You just reminded me that when we walked into the house this afternoon that dd was on the phone. Med Co had called to tell her of all their 'wonderful options'. She was giving the person on the other end quite an earful of my adventures (not so grand) with said company. Her co-worker also has a horrible time getting her arthritis meds through them and they are extremely expensive or she'd do it on her own. There are times when she goes weeks without them and she has an extreme case. Think she's around 40. DD did tell the rep that she knew it wasn't her fault but had watched the throes I have gone through script after script. AND if it was up to her she would never use them. Well, I guess she got that off her chest.

I went out to do dishes but then remembered it's gd's night. So I'll see how that goes.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Dh is doing our dishes now. His turn because I cooked the dinner, although I also kept loading the dishwasher as I cooked. I did a big roast beef dinner plus the hamburg chowder for tomorrow's pot luck lunch.

I went to the basement to show ds how to turn the water on/off in the house (he was out here to sleep one day after an overnight shift and made sure not to use water because he knew it was off.) Discovered that it wasn't the hot water tank that leaked because there is fresh puddles in the basement. The area around the pressure tank and the HWT are not puddles so that leaves the two water conditioners (one is softener, the other sulfur filter) as prime suspects. I mopped up with a towel and readjusted the fan towards the wettest areas.

We forgot to start ds' second load of laundry so that is running now. He'll have to take the second load home wet because I need to go to bed soon.

Ds has left with 90% of the laundry fully dry. We got talking about his trip to Australia. He paid me off the day we left North America and since then has made it 1/7th of the way to his monetary goal for Australia. Of course he's been working his butt off taking every shift possible but still, I'm impressed.

He really missed us on our trip, especially because he couldn't skype us. I missed that too.

I should get to bed now. Must remember to start the dishwasher first and lay out all the things I need for my course tomorrow. A map to the church would be a good idea too since I'm not sure where I'm going.

Lots of concerns weighing on my heart, of course, but have gotten a lot more done this evening. I think the early hour I had to get up had something to do with a productive day, and so I'm thinking early to bed, too.

Also I read today that studies seem to be more certain these days that early exercise is best so I'm considering trying that again. Emptynester knows that I have gone back and forth on that issue a long while. They say before breakfast if a person can handle it so far as blood sugar. Of course, my problem has been concern about stiffness and my back potentially not being ready for morning exercise rather than bs. At least it is a different idea than that completely inaccessible (to me) concept of 30 grams of protein within 30 mins of arising. I just know that can't be right, since I can't do it! Anyway, I'm ready for calling it an early night.

Have placed a new reading book on hold for dd13 and we'll probably try to get that tomorrow. Will make sure Kindle edition is not a better idea first.

HRH and I spent the late evening scrubbing down the 2 molded lawn chairs and rinsing, so by tomorrow they should be nice for guard duty during chicken excursions and for reading.

Now if we can just hear good news from Indiana at some point, things will be good. :)

Indiana is improving but still very sick. Meds went out of whack so they are keeping her to get them where they should be.

She is still in ICU but is stable.

We had a great time at the "Jamaican Me Crazy" cruise at church tonight. The boat didn't even rock. :o Of course, maybe this is because it was held in the Church Fellowship Hall.

I am very proud of myself as I drove up and down the big hill (down in the dark). It is much easier to drive than ride as a passenger. Now that I know I can do it - it will free me up for a lot of stuff at church that I want to participate in that DH doesn't.

DH's back is hurting more tonight. Don't know why. I was able to get a hot patch on it for him. Hoping that will help.

Dgson & I took a walk and I was much better after that; dgd napped and dgson played outside with the neighbor kids. I started knitting a dish cloth. Also tryed the med. sized looper knitting loom thingie so I could show the younger two dgkids how to use it. I had dgd show me how to start it. Grand kids were picked up at a good time for us. We did not spiff the house much before we left I just needed a break. Back from errands this evening an abbreviated version of 'em. We've had dinner. The thing h. wanted to do was not happening until today gun & antique show so he will have to go back for that. Tomorrow is a busy one for us so well spiffy up the house before we head out for some activities.
