Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
I love a good reunion story! Thanks for sharing, Harriet.
I'm still making little progress. Put away some of the laundry and a few things from our travel. Wound the clocks. Made myself lunch.
Dh is out sunning and I think I might get out in the sun too. The windows are now all open upstairs and the fresh air smells wonderful. Still, it would be better to be outside in it.

I remembered to bring in my lunch today, but forgot utensils! Fortunately, my office mate had some. I found out I don't need to bring shampoo and hair dryer on my July cruise. This month I have got to get my visa for Russia. I have a little more info about drip irrigation systems and how long to water, but not much.

Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
Elizabeth, you're going to Russia? How interesting!
Such a nice time of resting here to sit and read about productivity and happy dog stories.
I've been busy, cleaning up the house, desk chores, trip to pick up Rx, go to bank, and 7 books at the library
(quilt books again) and a stop at H-D for gardening stuff. After changing into garden clothes we spread and dug in a couple bags of manure compost and peat. Our soil is mostly sand and needs generous additions to produce anything; I hope this helps. I planted a couple new tomatoes and peppers, zucchini and bean seeds and another batch of broccoli seeds. I want those up and producing before the ones out there get too old. Sometimes we get a couple seasons from our broccoli, but you never can tell.
Off to do dishes and get supper...then I must run to grocery for the mother load of food.

Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
Hello dear ladies,
Been busy today doing battle with Monday house.
Went with Dbrother for check up, he is doing well.
Had trouble with my back and legs all weekend. DH called chiropractor and set up an appointment for me on Wednesday. Of course now both back and legs are ok but think I will go anyway.
We have lots and lots of rain here, predicting floods all over.
Ran out of my usual floor cleaner so mixed up a little dawn and water in a bottle, the kitchen floor looks extra clean.
Back to the scrubbing.

Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
It is very spring-like here today, temps in mid 80s. I love Mondays; everything is still neat and clean, so it's quick and easy to pick up room by room.
I took a little while to cuop the last couple of days. I hope Indiana is continuing to improve and will be back with us soon. Thinking about Elizabeth's dd and hoping she's getting along well and MT'sdh, hoping he continues to feel better. Also keeping Lucylee's dfam in my thoughts for dfil's improvement and ddad's answers. OKay, I'm sending much sympathy for the loss of your dear ones these past few weeks. It's never an easy time, but you've had more than your share of concern.
Looking forward to hearing about Elizabeth's trip. How soon do you leave?
Harmony, you are going to be really busy this week with everyone visiting!
Harriet, it's nice to hear there was a happy reunion with dogs and owner.
I had a gift card for Chili's so we went with dfam#2 for dinner yesterday. This is dgd10's favorite restaurant. We had dessert at home afterwards. Ds#3 called last evening, so he got to talk with his brother also. They are coming to visit us on their spring break and will be here on Apr 6th. We can't wait to see them again.
Dh just had his left over sandwich from yesterday for his supper; I ate my salad for lunch, so I think I'll just have cereal, fruit and a cup of tea.
Thinking of everyone here in the Village and waving hello to all!

Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
Harmony: I am going on a cruise that spends 2 days in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have always wanted to go there.
Sunny: The cruise isn't happening until July, but I am trying to get everything done as far in advance as possible. I even have a pet sitter and cat boarding arrangements already.
I probably won't be doing a wonderful travelogue like we have been enjoying recently. I probably won't have internet connections. Progress so far: have been doing lots of flowchart work, made a list of pending things I need to do, took care of my tax 'homework' (recharacterizing IRA contributions), and made a list of what I need to do tonight.

Sadie, that's what I use on my floors too, a little dishwashing soap in water. I don't put much in or else I'd be rinsing forever.
Supper done (we had big salad from all the stuff I took out of the garden tonight).
Cleaned out refrigerator and wiped.
Brought in the sheets that were hanging up to dry.
Next up: remake our bed, S2S, go get those groceries. I'm running out of steam.

I'm off to the grocery store, then home for dinner, which will be cereal again. Not very original in the dinner department am I? Cereal is kind of like People Chow for me.

Elizabeth: you probably won't have internet. We buy the cheapest package available and it works out to 25 cents per minute for a connection that is as slow as dial-up. We have a business that we are still running, so we need to be connected. Real human beings don't need to be, so save your money for souvenirs or postcards or something else to remind you of the trip. I do recommend writing something for yourself each day in a travel diary. I love rereading my travelogues. While you guys are my motivation for writing each day, I'm really doing it for myself and dh.
I haven't got much else done but I spent a while on the back deck in the sun, doing my devotions for today and tomorrow.
The Silver Shadow (the favourite of 'my' ships) struck another ship in Vietnam last Friday and the news is just now being sensationalized. The facts are it was a run-in due to fog and quite likely a local ship with no communications or radar, quite similar to our near miss last year in Hong Kong. And while there is superficial damage, there is no structural damage as far as I can figure because if there was they would not have continued the trip and gone on to the next two ports. But that has kept my attention today.

Re: Spring Has Sprung Monday!!
Kally - autumn officially started here 1st March. Winter -1st June. Spring starts 1st sept. Summer 1 December. Already there is a forcast of snow in the southern highlands this coming week. Meanwhile in the north the monsoons are at work in a big way with some places getting 12" rain each day - 3ft of rain sometimes. In a few days we are expecting that full on rain here too. At the moment there are showers each day. The ground has at least lost some of its squish and slosh factor from the last week. Here it hasn't really been as hot this summer. Expect flooding this year again over there (USA) if our weather is any indicator. There has been a lot of rain everywhere except SW corner of WA - Perth - as it is not effected by the Pacific water temps. I'll hope they get back to normal winter wet season this year as it has skipped a few years.
Kathryn - I'm glad you could get an earlier appointment time. Prayers for the results. I hope theres a simple fix for any problems you are having.
Harriet - Glad Sammy and the hens helped reunite dogs to their owner.
I have been way off my diet finally opening chocs I got at christmas. Feeling ill and deserve it. I seem to have no moderation button. Not a good day yesterday but did get the bed sheets washed /away, bed remade first thing. Then slept on the couch - never did have the detox in epsom salts bath. I will need that today. Bin day here today. If I have sence dog and I will walk earlier than dusk showers. and bin will get full early too.
Broken sleep last night and dozed in. Missed yoga. Sigh. Maybe - hoping for tomorrow.
