Good morning everyone! For Girls' Night Out, DD10 and I went to Chinese then Chuck E Cheese. Turns out the folks at CEC missed her last week, we are that regular. They understood about the newly broken wrist though. After that we went back to my house and XDH came to pick her up. He rehung a laundry room door that had come off. I did some trash pick up in my front yard. Yesterday's wind blew in a lot of cardboard and the city had posted a notice on my door already!!! It filled my recycle bin. I sprayed some weeds, but they were still alive this morning. I did remember to exercise for 5 minutes. I went to bed at a reasonable time, but still had trouble getting up this morning.

The first night without the foster cat was hard. He usually would lie on my bed and meow for petting (and get it of course). There is a Leo shaped hole in the house.

Must get onto payroll tasks. Bye.

I'm on a roll this morning.

I called my sabbath to begin at 11:30 so had to at least get yesterday's weekly chores done.

I did a good clean of the kitchen plus changed the bathroom towels and put away a few more of the winter decorations. I might be done, might not, I keep spotting things tucked around and about.

I'm off for lunch with our musician and then maybe some shopping or reading out on the deck.

The doctor's office called to say the mammogram came back normal. Yay! Except that doesn't explain the tenderness so I have an appointment for Friday. Could have had one for today but after living with this for 6 weeks, waiting two more days rather than upending my Sabbath seemed like a good idea.

So today the internet is intermittent at best here due to rain etc. Granny duty is delayed a bit so we had a leisurely cup of coffee and chatted a bit over breakfast. Journaling is done now. Rain turned to a rain /snow mix mid morning. 6" + is expected in mountains around us.

I'm not really here, it's an illusion.......

Yay, Kathryn, for "normal" mammograms! Hope you can find out what the tenderness is all about. Enjoy your Sabbath.

Kathryn, thanks for telling us your good news.

Progressing here. Big search for old tablecloth, found on top shelf of closet. Ironing done and board and iron put away and that cabinet locked. Cake iced and hid. Changed clothes and combed hair. Curly now that a lot of the weight is cut off. A few more knickknacks picked up and stashed from little fingers. House looks rather bare, but I admit I like that look.

Pulled the quilt rack back into our bedroom. That spot really looks bare, it's been out there so long. I got as much ready for lunch as I could. Kiddos should be here any minute and no doubt very hungry if they didn't talk dd1 into stopping. I put some water bottles in the refrigerator for us to take if we go out later. 5 thirsty kids, not a good thing!

Aspirin helped my back. Wish I didn't have to take it, but I've overused my arms and shoulders and the muscles across my shoulder blades were screaming.

Back from lunch out. Had a great time. Probably got burned since we sat on the patio for 2 hours - even sunscreen can't protect me from that!

It is 82 outside today. Unbelievable weather for March.

Indiana update
From DNiece: Nothing really yet. They are still waiting to do her scope because they can't get her coumadin levels right. She is still getting blood and vitamin K to try to get her regulated. Hoping she'll get her scope done today, but we'll see.
Same old here - carving all day. I was able to learn how to make open doors and windows today. I bought a wood burning kit yesterday to do the details on the windows and boards. I'm taking pictures as I go and will post on Sunday.

I have figured out what I need to do tonight. I am not eating at church because I don't like tacos and burritos, so I will undoubtably be eating cereal as usual. I need to set the water timer for the drip irrigation system and check that it works ok. While waiting for that to work, I should pull and/or kill weeds. After weeding, it is definitely shower time, especially if I use the poison stuff. Then eat the cereal. Then balance the checkbook. I should exercise too. I hope I can get all this done.

We are getting real RAIN! Not just a shower and quit! We are in a severe drought area and need this so badly.

I have not called the lady yet, because dh wants to talk to that guy and see just what is going on. I went out to dd2 and when I came home she (the lady) had left 2 messages. The first said the bank would loan them all but $15000 and they were sorry they couldn't buy it. Then she left another message and said that she was at work and they might be able to help them out, so don't count them out. I think she really wants it but I don't know if she is trying to get the price down, but we aren't dropping the price $22500. Nope, not happening this early in the game. We have an appraisal saying it is worth $5000 more than we priced it to them. I don't know if they or the bank are going by the county appraisal which is way too low. But who wants the county to up your appraised value because that is what your taxes are based on, not what your home is actually worth. I know that sounds crazy but that is how our state does it.

I just love to hear and see this rain!
