Despite the fact that Thursday is supposed to be my heavy cleaning day, I'll be conga-ing today.

On the ship I found my conga music on my mp3 player so will use that to help me move.

For the rest of you, I hope you move - either literally or symbolically.

Lucylee has a day of mental movements in front of her while she accepts the support of community while reflecting on her dfil's life.

Lilac has a day of taking excellent care of herself to try and avoid coming down with anything from the grandkids.

Harriet has a similar day while being busy nursing dd13 on the road to recovery.

Feel free to add how you will be conga-ing today.

And remember the power of music to lighten our hearts and give us energy to face whatever the day throws at us.

Lilac ~ Seems like since you babysat 5 days this week, that should get you at least 2 weeks to yourself. Even if you don't have all of the symptoms of a cold (yet), if you don't get more rest you will get sick and then who will take care of you?

Yesterday I had meetings and errands into the evening.
Today is another apron day. I'm in the mood to spend today and tomorrow decluttering -- just need to pick a spot and get to it!

LisaB - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This morning I've been attempting to stay on schedule however adventures & other opportunities seem to abundant. Just as I was sitting breakfast plates on the table, LO said "Jack and Balaam (horse & donkey) are on the road!!!" Argh!! DH headed out one door and I took LO and headed out the other door. By the time we got them off the road a couple of vehicles had near misses with them, but we were able to get them herded back into our yard and into the open pasture fence. Nothing like a little early morning exercise to start the blood a pumping! LOL

Oven is filled with large containers of baked beans for DFriend family funeral. Should be finished cooking in 30 minutes

tees and sweats in the wash now. I just finished an omelet w/orange bell pepper - very pretty.

The paper is brought in for my ddad, plus the free weekly local paper (one each household, so 2) that they just throw in the road/driveway . I don't care for that one much (after all, it used to be my competition), mostly because of the way they deliver these days, avoiding the mail - budget, I guess. It announces to the whole world if someone is away on vacation, and this is just a different day and time. You can't do that without causing trouble.

I do hate having to herd animals back, OKay. Here they almost always belong to one cousin, but in the past we'd have to worry which farm they were escaping! Thankfully, now that the construction at the county site near us has settled down, there is less traffic, also the nearby sheep are gone now, too - they were the escape artists. Are these yours? Love the names! Oh, wait, our neighbors 2 doors away have a little Jersey, I noticed - I'd forgotten I saw that until LO saw the donkey! She's just a heifer - no udder to speak of. They have a couple tiny little girls, so maybe they are trying to eventually have milk. Wow, what work that would be. BTDT, and it's an undertaking.

TaDa from yesterday afternoon - helped HRH put up tarp shade for the hens. They were already searching out bits of shade in the corners of their run, which they don't usually do until summer. HRH said it was super hot in the house.

Thanks for good wishes. Yes... I am not looking forward to today, or really, the next 72 hours. That is when our houseguests will be on their way home, I'll be back at school, and life will return to some semblance of normal.

Of course, that is not true, b/c life is not going to be "normal" in any way until my ddad is back home from the hospital and they know what his trouble is. So far --aside from the pneumonia & general symptoms related to his chemo -- he has been diagnosed w/a hiatial (sp??? I know that's not right -- it looks ridiculous but I'm not going to look it up at this point) hernia & gastritis... everyone has to wear gloves & gown when visiting him... and his fever was 102 this morning. Hernia probably accounts for the pain that makes him think he's having a heart attack; gastritis probably accounts for reason he had to have 2 units of blood. In general, he feels miserable. Tomorrow, I may have to go sit with him while dmom comes back home to take care of a few things and get more clean clothes.

Dd is frustrated w/ school they put him in reading for summer school instead of math! Drat! Some one made a boo boo he can only do one and needs math help more than reading this year.

Alrighty! I am declaring BREAK TIME! Sitting down with a cup of coffee and timer set for 15 minutes.

Baked beans are out of the oven and on their way. DH volunteered to deliver them (3 towns over).

Jack & Balaam are permanent residents here however they don't belong to us. Jack was DBro's #1 daily horse for over 10 years but reached a point that the younger/stronger/faster horses took his place. Jack & DBro spent so many hours together that he has earned the rare spot of being kept to the end of his life. Now DBro usually sells his working horses after having them a couple years. By that time, they are very well trained and bring a high price. Balaam is here to keep Jack company and to do dog control. Cattle come and go so when the pastures are empty, Jack gets lonely. If the dogs bother the cattle, Balaam will end it with a swift kick.

Good morning! Yesterday, I went to the church meeting. I did not volunteer for the planning committee, wonder if I should have? Other than that, I got nothing done outside of payroll. I am in the process of ordering a Russian visa and it is a LONG process. Now, I need to know if my medical insurance is valid in Russia. Will have to find out, probably yes, but definitely out of network!

Today I have a lunch with some coworkers from a previous job, including one who is in from out of town. I should get back on payroll stuff now.
