I haven't done a thing towards a conga.
I did walk over to the church with our musician (she parked her car here) and we pulled all kinds of music for the season of Easter and our Anniversary Service (the congregation has been in this community for 150 years but the building is only 117 years old) and filed all the music we had already used. She doesn't like being in the building by herself; it is so old that you can feel the energy of those who have served it over the decades but she just says it is haunted. Sure enough a door slammed while we were in there. So we had a good visit.
And my sister called asking to revoke her refusal of coming up for Easter so she'll try and come on the Saturday.

Hello Dear Ladies,
We've got sunshine!
Got up early this morning to go to the chiropractor.
He said my spine is looking better. I still have leg pain but it isn't so severe, so I am on the mend, have to go back next week but will do my exercises in the meantime.
Sending hugs to (((Indiana)))miss you lots.
(((Lucy Lee & Family)))
(((Lilac))) Take some time for yourself.
Work day here for me. Came back and worked on my dailies. Now I'm going to read and rest before heading in to work.
Have a great Conga Friday all!

Re: Conga Friday
Easter thoughts......I've bought Easter basket & fillable eggs for LO, but otherwise have done nothing to prepare for Easter. Need to start the prep.....
Lunch is done (home made LC pizza). supper is prep'd (hot wing chicken) and will go together with about 10 minutes of effort. tomorrows lunch is in the makings. While cooking lunch today I boiled eggs to put in chicken salad tomorrow.
Garden harvest this morning - 2 types of lettuce, radishes, green onions, asparagus & carrots. I am enjoying the garden soooo very much after going through the extreme drought last year. It certainly has made me appreciate the fresh vegetables.
Thinking of ((((Indiana)))) and hoping she is having the best medical care possible.

The sun is shining! This will be the first day since Sunday that it shouldn't rain. Can't say that very often here on The Great American Desert! We are grateful for the rain. The grass went from just a hint of green to blooming dandelions and will need to be mowed soon.
I don't plan to go anywhere today, except maybe for a walk. Yesterday my dsis invited me & our dmother for lunch. Her youngest was home on spring break. After lunch, my dbil went back to work & dnephew, dsis, & dmother and I played dominoes. Dnephew got a phone call from one of his buddies & told him he was playing dominoes with his mom, auntie & gram. Some 20-something males wouldn't want to admit that!
He is a sweetheart & I'm glad I got to spend some time with him.
Harriet - love the feet! So cute.
Congrats to LisaB on the weight loss. Twenty-five pounds is a huge accomplishment!
All this talk about herding livestock & chickens makes me nostalgic for my childhood. I grew up on a farm and farm animals are both some of my worst and some of my best memories. Even though I live in a small town, I miss the country. It just isn't the same.
Lilac, hope you can avoid catching dgd's cold.
(((Lucylee & family))) Sorry for your loss, and I hope your ddad is better soon.

Dgd11mos is not running a fever but has a rash on her tummy that feels warm. Dd2 said she still acts puny. Dd2 is taking her in at 2:20 and I will watch dgd2+.
Went and bought some groceries this morning. When I came in I listened to my messages and there was one from the lady who wants the house. She said they can come up with the money and as soon as the guy does what he is suppose to do, then they will get the show on the road. She didn't mention a contract or earnest money. Suits me. We will just keep showing it and if someone wants it, I will give her a call and let them know that it's now or never.
I better go. I just received a call which is an Amber alert of sorts. The 19 year old guy has been missing fo 24 hours and has health issues. He was last seen 1 block from our other house. So I will go by there and make sure he isn't in the yard and not able to be seen.

LOL, Nancy! We can tell you are movin' on. I hope somehow dgs' class can get straightened out - he needs what he needs.
Kathryn, that made me smile to hear the door slammed while you and friend were discussing the venerable building!!!!
Made me think of the various ghost-hunting reality shows. My personal opinion though, is that without rodents as their stars, those shows would be out of business. I think the squirrels overact, though.
I neglected to say to lucylee, Bravo for caring enough to edit your dear father in law's obituary so that it is right, not only to honor his memory but to offer future readers respect as well.
I would think that might be a helpful trip, Lilac. You may have a different vantage point.
The dr's office called to say the long-term strep test was negative, but also to ask info about symptoms. I volunteered that the back of her throat is obviously red and bumpy now.
Then, a half-hour later, I got another call from the doctor who said he was concerned about the potential this could still be bacterial even though the test came up negative, so he wants her on an antibiotic. He explained to me that an article in JAMA he read recently brought up the possibility. Best I could understand him, there is now suspicion that even Fusobacterium, which is a "normal inhabitant" or "normal flora" can inflame tonsils/pharyngitis (sp) and with certain symptoms it's best treated. So, whether suspicious of the strep test or of other bacteria, he is taking these new symptoms seriously and I appreciate all the thought he put into it, plus the explanations to me.

I am back from lunch. I was 30 minutes late, I forgot that I was supposed to be there at 1130 not leave at 1130. Oh well. There were plenty of others there. None of our jobs is very secure right now. I had to tell people about the divorce and now I am sort of mopey. Best cure is to get back to work!

Re: Conga Friday
Back from doctor's appointment, visit with a senior, and grocery shopping at 6 stops. Sigh... That took forever. The first two were quick but the third had a super long line-up and it went downhill from there until the last.
I called dh to ask what was supposed to be for dinner (I vaguely recalled fish and knew we didn't have any so wanted to know if I should pick it up.) He said ds had invited him out and did I mind? Nope, I could have leftovers and evening to myself. Yay! Got home and while unloading the car, dh realized we have choir tonight so he can't go out until later. So now I had to come up with a dinner which is now being made. Except dh is dragging his feet which is going to make us have to eat and run, something that is a really bad idea right before choir.
I have many pork tenderloins and ribs to freeze.
The doctor's appointment confirmed the mammogram showed nothing, not even a cyst. But the doctor is pretty sure she can feel a cyst so is sending me back for an ultrasound to rule it out conclusively. She is currently under a malpractice suit for not investigating breast cancer closely enough so my timing is great, she is being very thorough. I've booked my annual physical and after having to wait 9 weeks to get one two years ago, was able to get in next Friday. Hmmmmmm, I wonder what that says.

Re: Conga Friday
Back from town I'm glad the test strips that I use for bs have gone down considerabley
and I have a bit of help now with state card for non ins. folks these days.
Got the groc. home unloaded after h. dropped my off 1/2 mi. from our house so I could walk. Did some laps inside at w-mart too. So I may have made up what I did not do yesterday. My
attude is better today as well yea!
Dgson showed up so h. is helping him with math. I did snack time.
H. & I had a good talk over lunch.
I ripped out a knitting project that I started last night. The yarn was more like rug yarn so I'm crocheting a bag with it instead of making a hat out of it.
