We've had sun all day! Still haven't taken that walk. WTG Nancy on getting your walk.

Kathryn, glad your dr. is being so thorough.

((Elizabeth))

Is your dd feeling any better, Harriet? Sounds like your dr. is also being thorough.

How are the dgd's, Lilac?

Dgd11mos has an ear infection. The anti-biotic will take care of strep if there is any. He didn't want to put her thru the swabbing. Dgd2+ was much better today but her ear had a bunch of drainage. She has ear tubes so they are doing their job. I watched the 4 kids so she could take dgd15 for her phone. Yeah that is over. I figured that she would bring pizza home because they usually have it when the boys come home, but she didn't want me to have to stay any longer than necessary. So she was going to load them all up and come back to town to pickup their supper and dgd11mos RX.

Luckily I didn't find anything on our property. I hope he turns up, alive and soon.

How wonderful to come back and find Indiana HOME!!!

Choir practice was good but my jaw is really sore now. We have 17 things to sing on Sunday. It is just as well I'm not going to the second service, that has 23 items to sing. Tonight we only sang 1 verse of about half the hymns, 2 of some of them and 3 or 4 of a couple. Plus we practiced the anthem for the following week. The anthems this week, there are 2, are hymns so didn't require a lot of practice.

On the plus side, the jaw doctor was right - it is singing that is causing this. Now I have to decide if I'm going to give up choir. It is a tough decision but I was pain-free almost the whole time I was away.

Welcome home, Indiana! So glad that you are well enough to head home!

I ended up leaving work at three today - felt yucky - lunch didn't agree with me perhaps and back hurting, concerned I was coming down with something. I slept all afternoon/evening and just now got up and ate a little.

Ddogs are going crazy, we have a strange friendly golden retriever hanging out in our garage wanting to come in. S/he has a collar for an invisible fence so hopefully we'll find the owner tomorrow.

OOOh, I hope everyone who is feeling poorly feels better soon (Hariet's DD, Lilac's DGD, Sadie,) and I'm sure glad to see DIndiana is home now.

I am in a world of tired right now. 2 days nonstop cooking, tending people, playing with children. All bedding washed and placed for 2nd set of family...and they arrived earlier than we imagined. After lunch we headed for the closer beach where 1st family had gone with a picnic lunch and the 1st 5 kids. Nice times all together. We've never done that before. Dinner was nice with 13 around the table. All the kids played well together; babies weren't cranky. Whole lot of towels washed after that! 1st family went home early evening.

Today we went out visiting DGrGdad, then an outing to wildlife center and playground and to watch the fishermen who let the little ones feel the slippery fish  and then home for naps except for me, the cook, who started dinner. 2nd family has gone to other house and we will see them at the wedding tomorrow.

DH decided - finally - to try on his dressier clothes and nothing fit, so we spent most of the eve. out hunting something suitable...got nice dress trousers, new shirt, belt, and he decided no suit since he wouldn't use it maybe ever again...I hope he is not the only guy there without a suit...but he does look nice. And I gave him another haircut.

Wow. Seems like everything around here needs laundered. But I don't need to rush with any of that.

Was joy to finally get to see DGSon, he is a good contented baby, and the middle DGSon is unbelievably cute. DGD is bright & cheerful and could talk you into anything..she got me to give her a manicure and pedicure! I made a few strides with DDiL who hasn't been all that friendly, but I told her a few of our family secrets and she seemed to warm up. I'm declaring this family time a success so far. I just need a little down time to recover.
