Good Morning! (Well, for a few more minutes anyway ;) ). Love the theme for today, love that song, & love seeing Indi posting :)

Peeked in at last years pwyc & had to laugh as I was behind on village happenings then & I am 3 days behind today!

Company's coming! Dfriend will arrive for an extra long weekend visit tomorrow :D . She was supposed to come last month but we had to reschedule. There are some fun things going on around town this weekend including a craft fair & a book sale. Looking forward to seeing her. We've been friends since we were kids.

I've been cleaning this morning & will do some extra spiffing in the guest room. Trying a new pork chop recipe tonight. Next up is drink my tea :) ,cuop for a few minutes, then drag the vacuum cleaner out of the closet. Oh, & I guess I'll actually run the vacuum on the rugs & floors, too! :P

Waving ~~~~~ to everyone! Oh what a beautiful moooooooorning ... :)

Well, I knew SOMETHING was wrong a year ago when I glanced back and saw that I didn't post all day that day. And then, didn't post all day the next day or more than half the next. :? HIGHLY unusual. Oops, that was when HRH took a spill and ended up in ER but thankfully had no broken bones. He was getting the new building brought in for me immediately after that, and I remember now that he was frustrated that dstepson had to take the reins to set it and level it. But all was well. So my "quilt studio" is one year old. At that time I was getting a lot done on sewing and completed the baby quilt for ds' shower. I was still traveling several times a day to my ddad's house and he was only staying here to sleep.

One nice thing I noticed from those several days last year was many posts from LurkyLou! Miss her!

Oh, yes, Elizabeth, I have settled in to crack the language code now, which took (still taking?) a while because I was determined I could do it without scratch paper (pure pride). Then reading the long encoded message is taking quite a while, and I would be a very amusing person to listen to, slowly sounding out the strange letters/characters, like a voice coach teaching vowels with exaggerated mouth movements and probably a frown of concentration! LOL!

Dd couldn't take time for this fun addition, having to plunge right into 870 pages of The Order of the Phoenix to keep up with her computer task-master.

Yay, blessedw2 said "hi" in cardfile central.

Dove, I can't imagine much more fun than craft fair and book sale. Have a wonderful time.

Yes, it is a beautiful morning! So happy you can get out and enjoy it, Indiana!

I woke up with my revised goals on my mind. I've made phone calls to set up appointments for dr. visit & a hair cut. This afternoon I will take care of some errands, shouldn't take too long. In the meantime, I will concentrate on the ever-present laundry. I swear it multiplies in the basket!

Hmm.... I have no idea what I was doing a year ago. I know the temperature was much cooler & I wasn't even thinking about mowing my lawn. Little did I know that the guy who mowed it the summer before had quit & didn't tell anyone, so I had to scramble & find someone else. But that was in late April. Hopefully I'm all set for this summer.

MT, hope your knee recovers quickly. You are making lots of progress on your yard.

Lilac, at least you are getting interest in your house. One of these days it will happen. :)

Waving to everyone, have a beautiful day!

Hello dear ladies,

another sunny day!

Harriet I used the chart you linked to and went out at 10:50 for sunshine.

How long should you wait before washing skin where sunshine hit?

Dailies are done.

need to shower so hope it isn't too soon from getting sunshine.

The rains have stopped and the sun it trying to peek through the clouds now. Got my Rx refill going then walked 30 min. @ W-mart while they were going that. H. & I had soda and I wrote a letter to a pen pal while waiting on Realtor's tour to be done. We did minimal staging on the deck that was a good call. I had h. drop me off and I did my walk to see the goats and came home had some things on my mind to process it was great for that. Came home and dson had left a bday card with cash in a great hiding spot for h. dson called to let h. know where it was.

We are home for left-overs for lunch in a bit and dd called while we were out to let us know of a change in time for going to her house later one.

Neither dh nor I feel like cooking so I'll have leftovers and dh is off to get some Chinese food.

I did get the weekly kitchen chores done so made progress on the housework today. Ds also called and I finally got his address so know where he lives. I had narrowed it down to two buildings and new he lived on the second floor but didn't know exactly which apartment or building. As well, I didn't know the door buzzer is linked to dfs' cell phone so if I go over when dfs isn't home, there's no way of telling ds I'm at the door. Sometimes, technological improvements aren't an improvement.

Back from DH's cardio appointment. He will be going in for an angio something and probably have at least 2 stents put in. We have to wait until nurse calls it to schedule it - probably within next two weeks.

Then he has to go on a special diet to get his LDL (the bad one anyway) way down. We've already had one "discussion" on that one. I see many more in my future.

Time to go take a nap. TTFN

((MT)) for discussions in your future. Also ((Mr. MT)).

I am easily entertained. I'm watching my bruises change colors. Normally my left (lymphedema) arm has no marks since it can't be used for bps or IVs or shots. Since they had to use it for draws and IVs while I was critical the back of my hand from the knuckles 1/3 of the way up my arm has gone from the solid deep dark purple to a mottled purple.

My right arm had 4 IV sites going. As they began to leak then the site was changed So I ended up with 8 sites, plus the draws umpteen million times a day anywhere they could fine an open spot and a vein. I just told them where to draw and it worked every time. I moved the site around and knew there was a vein for them. Then I had shots in my upper arm. So that arm is going from deep dark purple from my knuckles to my shoulder is turning mottled and that yucky green/yellow color. The 2 places I was burned from the chemical in the IVs just look like an oven burn now.

The nurse who helped me when the ambulance came stopped to check on me and introduce herself. She knew since I couldn't see or hear I wouldn't know who it was. She was surprised how good I looked. She said it really helped with security taking Jake and the paramedics knowing me.

We are still under a red flag warning until tonight. I heard the sirens earlier and by the direction and sounds of the number of units responding it sounded like they had one wild fire they were working on. Our fires are nothing like other areas of the country. Ours are more fields that haven't been plowed under.

Now don't you wish I would go back to being quiet?

I am going to let the church feed me tonight, even though it is hamburger steak, which is not a favorite. Then I will try to get passport type photos at Walgreens. I also plan on buying a lottery ticket. Can't hurt right. Tonight I need to fix tomorrow's lunch since lunch with friends is rescheduled to Friday. And the usual things like shower and cat care. See y'all tomorrow!
