Harriet 20 minutes outside just sitting recharges batteries and for me restores my soul.
Has the doctor mentioned a nasal spray as a preventative? Like Nasonex? Or a nebulizer?
Still waiting for oxygen to come and the guy that my trash will be here in about 20 minutes.

Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
Update: Mostly for me
1. One load of laundry - ready to be folded & put away DONE!!
2. Another load of laundry - ready for the dryer
3. Look for daunt's death certificate (she passed away in 1997) so I can start on the application for unclaimed property - not where I thought it was, what if I don't have it anymore???
4. Call state about said application, need clarification. On hold
5. Look for 2011 bank statements so I can start on my taxes
I'm thinking about calling DMother to see if she want to go for a ride to look at all the flowering shrubs & trees.

Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
Funny looking things - use your imagination. Me on a tall later in the middle of a mesquite tree (they have 1 1/2 inch thorns) with the chain saw. Telling DH not to let go of the ladder or I will drop the chain saw on him.
We got the branches cut off the tree, cut up in smaller pieces and put in the back of the Rhino. PLUS - I have done a Rhino load of dead agave and one of rabbit brush (Nasty bush also called broom). We are "Officially" tired now. Time for lunch.
I also called Dr. office and confirmed that they will fill script if Orchard faxes request. I make sure I thank Orchard every time I order with Dee in my mind. I sure wish she could change over to O rather than her meds company.
Time for cold pizza and something cold to drink.
PS: I think I got over my 20 minutes in the sun for Vit. D today. Yesterday, I got a bit of a pink nose even with sunscreen.

Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
~~~waving Hi to all~~~~
I am back on schedule today and feeling fine.
Had a nice visit with DBro when he stopped by this morning.
Making headway on vegetable garden - today I planted corn, green beans, watermelon, 2 kinds of squash, 2 kinds of cucumbers, 2 kinds of peppers. I also "planted" some more 1"x1" wire on top of the ground where I saw the Blue Heeler preparing to make himself comfortable.....on top of the flowers!
101= Completed cards today
Kally don't worry about not having the death certificate. You can get it easily. If you need help where to go let me know.
That I recently received all my ddaddy's medals and ribbons from WWII. Plus his discharge papers. Now I'm waiting for the papers from when he was hurt.
Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
I guess I've done 5x5.
1. Annual physical. The doctor is back to being a nutcase. She would not further investigate my shortness of breath when I must go up (either stairs or hills.) Since I walk so much, I'm obviously fine. I figure since I can walk 3 miles just fine, why can't I walk up a 1/10th of a mile hill without having my chest go tight and having to stop to wait to catch my breath? Given this is a sign my heart valve isn't working right, the fact she can't hear my murmur (no wonder, she didn't listen with me on my side) or the fact that my bp is low, is no excuse. I'd order myself a stress test at the least and an ultrasound as well because I haven't had one for at least 5 years and the valve should be monitored.
2. I lit a fire under the nurse and got an ultrasound for my breast for next week. After 7 days they had not bothered to call to book it.
3. I did up the end-of-fiscal-year payroll paperwork and went to the bank to pay the withholding taxes.
4. I bought two (not one but two) large 'toaster' ovens. And had the clerk note on the bill that one had severe box damage. Sure enough, it is dented. It is also too large to look good on the counter. On the other hand, the smaller one only has one rack and dh loves the idea of having 2 racks since we often want to each use the toaster oven simultaneously. The smaller one is on the counter now while I figure out if I'm going to keep it. I haven't plugged it in yet while I consider what to do.
5. I made a pineapple angel food cake, loaded the dishwasher and set it to start later. Also mad myself and dh personal pizzas for lunch (in our old toaster oven - which still works, it is just too small for this project at church plus everyday use is getting harder since dh and I are using it almost daily, multiple times in order to save heating up the big oven.)
6. Practiced our pieces for choir tonight.
Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
Kally, the funeral home can provide a copy at a small cost. I don't know if they will balk at providing it to anyone except the person they worked with - i.e. paid for the funeral, accepted responsibility, was next of kin.... ...?
Indiana, all the medal and ribbons? How did that happen? Happy for you.
HRH got home and happened upon Dr. Drew tv program on sugar - keeps calling either me or dd to come see something. They had a quiz/game on which of 5 or 6 bread choices had the least sugar content and he got it right, right down the line, of course. Dd was irritated, but he told her that's his job.
I'm going to CUOP from yesterday. Oh, and also Kathryn has posted, will read
Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
so I didn't feel any rush...especially since I hadn't heard from her all day. Well, she finally called and they are on their way. Yikes!
Harmony, that is exactly what happens with my dd32!!! I think they are arriving at a certain time, then – surprise! It really can be a problem with children, because, like in your house something like pins on the floor, etc. makes a big difference. Also, yes, there might be a future present they shouldn't see or any number of other things you just need to have done before company. My dd laughs at me because I always mop the vinyl floors just before they are to arrive, but I think that's needful with little ones coming. Then if they come early, what to do!!! At that moment they need my attention, not the preparations!
Indiana, how wonderful that you are cooking today. No, he has not suggested breathing helps this time except the flomax inhaler, which he prescribed a week to 10 days ago.
bittersweet, what is your topic? Do you use a lot of humor? Somehow I imagine you as a humorous speaker, which (I will give you a compliment) seems like it might be more difficult.
Nancy, that's a nice color.
Elizabeth, which art medium? Dd13 was absorbed in her watercolor pencils (which I remember you have used before) last evening, btw. I advised her light clothing color for her subject so she could practice shading with darker – that was my contribution, lol.
Sounds like a great day, OKay.
It's a good thing that you were able to visit your friend, BookSaver – I know it was a pensive time for you, though.
Kathryn, I wish you could have a “do-over” of your physical today!!! Perhaps you should have waved a hand in front of dr's face and said, “hello?”... … Could you call that same nurse and request one of the tests that monitor, simply explaining, " it's time to do that, of course, right?" I am no example because I forgot to ask a simple question yesterday when I was in.
Re: FRIDAY FIVE BY FIVE
Harriet: I am still working in water color pencil.
Lunch has been obtained (I can't believe I ate the whole thing!). Russian visa materials have been Fedexed. The friend I ate lunch with invited me to an award's dinner for Special Olympics tomorrow. She was afraid I might be lonely. She was right, Saturday is usually my day with DD, who will be out of town. I have nothing to do for tonight, but it would be good to spray weeds. I doubt I will need to eat very much, it is 3:00 and I am still stuffed from lunch.
